I hired Jesse of WW to build me a deck, contracted for 4 months max for 40k-After requiring a 50% deposit up front , he hired out engineers for plans, and about $400 worth of saw cutting. That's it, then stole the remaining 17k and ghosted. Never even pulled the permit 6 months into a 4 month job. I had to file on his bond to get any of my money back. When confronted, he told me he didn't like that I checked up in his "scheduling" with a neighbor, and he didn't like me, so he just kept my money and dipped. I unfortunately have been dealing with many contractors while I remolded my house. After constant dragging feet and waiting for months I was just over it. I had people that did subpar work. As a woman I think these contractors thought I was a push over. We needed some welding work done to our home, I was lost. After being tortured for a year I went old school. Asked some friends. I literally was told by several good guy friends to speak with Jesse Gould who owns Wicked Weld. So of course I went to my Yelpers and was reassured I should call Jesse. I had a fence constructed and Let's say after 4 years it started to have issues. I called Jesse @ Wicked Welding. What a amazing man and so informative. I was concerned that the work we needed was to small. Jesse didn't skip a beat and asked when he could come over and see what I wanted. So we made a time for him to come over at 2:30 the next day. I've only dealt with lying contractors who would cancel 10 minutes before the appointment time. I'm always impressed when people are on time. Jesse was at my door a minute 2:29. He followed me to my backyard rod iron fences. With a new puppy that loves to break out I had Jesse looked at all the fences and he found 2 more spots that needed to be worked on. Jesse didn't make me feel rushed while looking at what we needed. On top of that I needed something things done for my fiancé. He told me I'll send you a quote by that night. When I saw the quote it seemed surprisingly low. So I called another company. It took 2 Days for them to get back to me. They were twice the price of Wicked Welding!!! I contacted Jesse right back and he was ready to come the next day. When the fences were done they looked great. Great job!! Now the garage work. He worked on my fiancé's Wizzer bike frames. He explained everything to my fiancé what he could do for him. He was very thorough. What a great guy! When the job was done we paid Jesse he actually handed us a real invoice and receipt. He took $19500.00 as a deposit, paid $1800 to the engineer to have (incomplete) plans done, and then never did another bit of work. Stole my money, blocked me from calling and refused to answer an email, phone call or text message. Lied repeatedly about filing for my permit, fabricating my pieces or scheduling any work. A complete scam artist. He insisted on a 50% deposit on home remodel, which is illegal in CA. I was an idiot. MIstakenly cut the end off of my garage door rail while working on a home-improvement project. (Long story). Garage door company wanted to replace the rails and door (because the garage door manufacturer went out of business years ago, and a similar part would be impossible to find.) I was at wit's end, when the garage door guy suggested seeing if a welder could help. Thank goodness he did. Even though it is probably a dinky job in the big scheme of things, he made time in his schedule to come and assess the repair, then showed up at 9 pm to accommodate my schedule. He expertly crafted a new piece and welded it into place, pretty as you please. He saved me hundreds, if not thousands of dollars. And he didn't make fun of me for cutting off my rail. I am not writing this review as someone who had Jesse install my fence, but as someone who communicated with him about installing a fence. I contacted his company regarding a corrugated metal fence for our new house. He was responsive to my text messages and provided us with a quote. We also inquired from other companies for quotes to make sure we had an array of options. Jesse explained he was extremely busy this week, but could meet up the following week. We agreed he would come on Monday with his crew. Today, we were offered a lower quote and we decided to go with another company. I texted Jesse today to give him enough time to cancel the project and this is the text I received. Considering I was supposed to be in Mexico on a fishing trip from Saturday until Tuesday and I forfeit my charter to accommodate your request, I will say I hope you feel good about your decision. Who does that? Thank you for wasting my time and secondly taking time away from me and my son for no reason. We have so many project ongoing I could really care less about the measly $4k, it's the principal. I guarantee the bait and switch company you are going with isn't Licensed, Bonded, Certified, & Liability Insured. Don't call me when The fence falls down. First off, Jesse never mentioned he cancelled plans to complete our fence. I initially asked him to start on Sept 2nd and he offered to start on Monday the 14th because I mentioned we would be at the house. He could have waited until Sept. That was his choice not ours. I would give this company a 5 plus rating if I could. I have dealt with companies prior that gave crazy bids to fix my iron gates. They were the other 3 with the high ratings on Yelp, in my area. If Wicked weld did the same thing, I was going to opt to replace the large gate. Wicked Weld could of made more money and sold me a new gate. They fix and replace iron gates. He was honest and said it could be fixed. From the very first contact with Jessie, he got back to me quickly and put me on his calendar. Blake came and gave me a very fair estimate and they had my gates fixed that same week. Now, I am going to have them paint with a rust proof product.
