This review is embarrassingly overdue, because I know I'll never be able to express how pleased I am with Alex's work. I still won't be able to, but I'm going to make the attempt. On the plus side, it's been over a year so I can give the long review, and please forgive me for lagging, Alex. This was an aluminum bumper kit that needed to be welded. Aluminum is hard enough to find welders for, moreso a bumper kit, and it's expensive. First, the work speaks for itself. Multiple times I've had professional welders come up to me randomly to ask who did the welds. I've missed the opportunity to proudly proclaim "Me!" - just to see what they do heh heh. Missed opportunities I'll need to rectify. Needless to say, his work is superb and has stood up to time. Second, the price Alex quoted me was more than fair. He took his time, and made sure it was something he would be proud to drive down the street. When the build instructions weren't up to his standards, he took the time to find ways to make it work better than intended. A great example is the tailgate - the way it was set up wouldn't allow the tailgate to rest flat when open. He found a way to make it work without issues. It took him extra time, and he didn't upcharge me for the effort even when I offered. Third, his professionalism and courtesy were impeccable. He did what he said he was going to do, when he said he would. As a woman, I'm also sensitive to how I'm spoken to when taking on projects like this. He was so helpful and had great suggestions, and I never felt spoken down to or given a line of BS - which is invaluable to me. In conclusion, he was worth every penny. His professionalism, craftmanship, and courtesy were superb and I could only wish that all my interactions were so excellent. If you have any hesitations, let this be your sign to go ahead with him, he's well worth it! read more

Alex is excellent! Had a main entry gate which was a little rusted. Unfortunately it broke one day. I called him and explained that I needed, about 7 inches of new tubing for the bottom, reweld the support tabs, and weld on new hinges. He did an amazing job in a timely manner. He prepped all surfaces for paint as well. His prices are extremely reasonable and fair as well. Upon picking up the gate and post, I had another project which would ne to drill two 7 inch deep holes in a block of wood. I needed a custom spare tire mount for my classic Shasta Airflyte trailer. I had been searching for a fab shop to make the mount for me and having problems finding someone who could work around my schedule. I was referred to Peltek by someone I know who had used them.
