Jose did an incredible job on a pretty unique project. I have Speed Queen appliances but bought LG pedestals and needed them properly retrofitted to fit and secure the washer and dryer. His attention to detail was outstanding. He noticed the factory brackets weren't even all the same, fabricated the correct pieces, and finished the final welding onsite to get everything perfectly aligned. The clearance and finished fit look factory. He was timely, professional, and treated the job like it was his own house. The value was excellent too. Having something custom-built from scratch could easily have been a $3,000+ project, and Jose found a much smarter way to get a finished, custom result. I had a problem with a bent floor on my G35 and Jose and Lorenzo did a great job straightening and reinforcing the floor before installing a heel plate for me, and Jose gave me a HUGE break on his typical labor rate. The rug around the plate didn't come out that great, but I did tell them that this is a track car (and that I'll probably be gutting the interior eventually), so I'll do what I can to clean the rug up a bit for now and reinstall the heel plate. I would've given them 5 stars but for that, because they do solid metal work as evidenced by my floor fix, and Jose showed me some of the custom industrial and automotive work he'd done previously. read more

Miracle Fix: Jose and Lorenzo Saved My Miata. Answer to my prayers. Expert welders and fabricators. My Mazda developed a loud rattling and knocking noise underneath and no one could figure out why. I went to eight different shops. Each one gave me a different guess: heat shields, engine mounts, catalytic converter, "play in the differential," you name it. Nothing made sense, and the noise was so annoying at red lights and/or with foot on the brake . Finally, one honest shop (Thanh Auto in Garden Grove) spotted the real culprit: a big clean crack in the aluminum mounting bracket attached to the differential housing. Every mechanic I spoke with afterward told me the same thing: "Only solution is to drop the entire differential and replace it." Translation: very expensive. Thanh's expert ( Keith) suggested welding the crack, but every welding shop I contacted said the same thing -- "No space. We'd have to remove the differential before welding. Almost as costly as replacing the whole diff." Then I found Jose at OC Fabrication on Yelp. Within minutes of sending him a photo, he replied ...fast, professional, and confident. He said it might be doable without removing the diff, but he needed to inspect in person. He even gave me two honest estimates: a higher price if the diff needed to come out, and a much lower one if he could reach it in place. He squeezed me in after hours the very next day. He and his welder Lorenzo crawled under the car, inspected the crack, and confirmed they could do it without removing anything. They carefully jacked the differential to realign the broken ear, cleaned the aluminum, welded it beautifully, and then reinforced it with additional metal. All in under 90 minutes. When we test drove the car afterward -- night and day. Smooth. Quiet. Solid. The rattling and knocking that haunted me for a weeek? Gone. Jose told me straight: most shops wouldn't even attempt this kind of repair. But he and Lorenzo took it on with skill, confidence, pride in their craft, and real customer care. Starting with the initial quote request through Yelp, Jose was nothing but phenomenal, responsive, friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I needed to relocate a new winch that I purchased for my trailer for my auto towing needs. I relayed an initial thought that I had on how to place the winch with provided pictures but the design that Jose came was perfect. Jose was super accommodating because I had to pick up my trailer from Pasadena to bring it down to Orange County on a Friday night which would be really terrible during rush-hour traffic but he was available to receive the trailer late at night. I had 3 dining room chairs that have an aluminum base and started wobbling. I could not find anyone to attempt to work on them and the ones that would wanted to charge more than the price for a new chair. I reached out to Jose and he was willing to fix them for an extremely low price. I brought the chairs and he reinforced all base corners and did a phenomenal job in a short period of time. He had to do more work than initially intended but still kept the price we had originally agreed upon even though it should have been more. I pointed out to them to double check chassis where the steering box is located & they said it's probably a lot stronger than stock. This is where OCF repaired 2 cracks by welding & reinforcing it with plates on October 18, 2024. Jose was super helpful & his customer service is top notch. Work quality is superb. I was looking for a dual swingout for my F-150 as no one really makes one. During the quote, Jose was very confident that they could use my current bumper and add it on. After dropping off the truck it took roughly 3 weeks to finish plus powdercoat/install. Very happy with the product. They were able to achieve keeping the bumper's high clearance while keeping the swingout strong and light as possible. They did go over the quote a bit, but that was due to an additional request I made plus it was a little more complex. When picking up, Jose even mentioned an issue on the caps, but said the replacement parts were en route and they would fix when it came. Highly recommend if you need metal fabrication done. So I went with Orange County Fabrication because no body shop wanted to do the repairs on my frame. I had cracks and rust damage on my frame because it was an east coast car. Brought it over so Andy can look at it and he said they can do it. One of the thin I like about them is that they work on an appointment basis. They basically give you a date to drop off your car and they basically start work right when you drop it off which means your car isn't just sitting in their shop waiting to be worked on. Him and Jose weee very professional. Jose kept in touch every other day and sending pictures every time he updates me. They went above and beyond than what I came there for. They installed some extra parts I needed and cleared out as much rust as they could and even rhino lined the repair so you can't even tell it was repaired at that section. I bought a fourth generation 4Runner and took it to Jose for a lift. Once the parts came in, he scheduled me right away. I was pretty tired of driving around a stock 4Runner, it felt like I had a rental car, so I was really happy that he accommodated me immediately! The team there is super friendly and hyped to help you. I dropped my car off at 9 o'clock on a Saturday morning and as my ride came to pick me up, I noticed they already had started working on it. Four hours later the truck was ready and it came out incredible! I had already ordered tires and wheels from another tire place so I went there to get those installed the same day. This is the first time I've lifted a truck, so I learned the hard way that sometimes the wheels (I got Falken Wild Peaks), will rub against the fender. I left them a message Sunday that this was happening and Jose called me back first thing Monday morning. Even though they had a custom build offsite they were working on all day, they squeeze me after at 4 o'clock, and fixed the noisy tire rub. This was not even their responsibility, as my tires/wheels went in last and we're probably too big. In a crazy Covid and political world, it's pretty rare to do business with people who do the right thing and are generally caring and concerned about their work and others. I couldn't be happier. I have an off road CVT trailer. I needed to have the rack where my tent is bolted to be much higher. CVT doesn't make the taller racks anymore and suggested I find a fabricator. I looked at different shops and liked OC Fabrication's photos of fabricating a lot of off road roll cages etc. I called and Jose responded right away and I explained the project to him. You know how you can get a feel in about a minute if it's going to be a good experience or not...I had a great sense that this was going to go well. I took the trailer into the shop and met Andy, Jose's business partner who's the main fabricator. We collaborated on the build - Andy had a ton of great solutions that I hadn't even considered. The price was what I expected it to be so I green lighted it. It came out perfect. The welds are some of the best I've seen, the attention to detail was perfect....everything was just perfect. One thing I really appreciated was that they kept me up to date and in the loop on how the project was going. I'd get text photos of the progress. The communication was excellent. I've had projects done where I've had to hound, bug, pursue to get updates....not these guys. I was majorly kept in the loop. They were also very up front with pricing.
