We noticed rodant droppings in our garage and a strange smell of urine. We realized we had rats in our garage. I highly believe in supporting the local companies and wanted to go with an independent company in the area and came upon John and Rob at Righteous Rodant Solutions. John came out right away and took the time to really observe our entire property from top to bottom inside and outside. I called on Tuesday to schedule a Friday afternoon appointment. I then text Will my address and he replied by asking if I was available at 4pm, I said yes and confirmed it with him. Then Friday came and I had to text Will to see if the technician that was supposed to be sent out was on their way. He apologized and wanted to reschedule and I said "no, it's ok then", since first impression is everything. Also, it's not the rescheduling that is unprofessional, it was the fact that came 3:54, I had to text Will to confirm our appointment or else I would've waited without knowing if someone was going to arrive or not. Berkeley had a surge of rats in 2016-2018. The problem was so bad that if I stood outside my house for 5 minutes, I would see at least 2-5 rats run around the yard. I called the city numerous times and they were slow to respond to my calls, so then I decided to take matters into my own hands by calling Righteous Rodent Solutions. I spoke with Will, and he came to my house to asses the situation. He found numerous holes around the yard and did the work to fill in all the holes as well as set several different kinds of traps along the fence line (with blackberries that they loved to eat) as well as around the buildings in my triplex. We had a rat or two roaming in our garage and crawl space. I thought I had blocked access but Larry was quick to point out the many ways they were getting in and around. He knows ins and outs of rat behavior. He cleaned up all areas where there was poop, properly meshed and cemented the holes where they were getting in, and found access spots in the roof.
