We were getting water on the floor from our fridge, and when John came out (right on time!) he immediately diagnosed the problem and fixed it quickly and efficiently.(It was a manufacturer's problem.) Just bought a washer & dryer from these guys. I bought a dryer a couple years ago as well. I like simple reliable products, & made that known to the sales person both times. They did not try to point me to the most expensive models, but showed me some good options. Most recently buying a washer dryer, they pointed me to a Speed Queen set. I honestly never heard of it & thought it was a new brand that they were pushing on me. I ended up trusting the guy & buying the set anyway because it looked well made. I have used them a few times already, & the set is AWESOME! Very easy to understand & does not shake & wobble all over the place. Drys quickly. After doing some research on Speed Queen, I am very glad they pointed me in that direction. Love shopping local, & if you do as well this is your place. read more

I bought an entire kitchen from them and have had an issue with the Bosh MW tripping the heated tile floor thermostat though they are on separate circuits which they could never figure out. The Kitchen Aid refrigerator I got from them went belly up four years later but under warranty and was returned to the manufacture. I can not blame the dealer for either of these issues. I ended up getting another refrigerator from them with a new extended warranty and it did cost a few hundred dollars but was fair. I have had them not show on one service call that they later said they had no record of thought their service guy was the one who called in from my house to make it. Those related to the defective refrigerator. I would by from them again and found prices as good as the big box stores and they service what grey sell. read more

This is all happening during Covid 19 phase one reopening. Our washing machine died 3weeks ago. Went online and worked with Noah and he was very helpful never tried to up sell us on something we did not need. Placed an order and was told it would be there in a week, checked on the order and it did not come in. Then was told this was actually ordered two months ago and they were at the mercy of the manufacturers and shipping. Then was told it should be in in two weeks. Did not come in then either, was asked to come in and see what they actually had available in stock. Amazing group of people to work with came home with a new washing machine and it was given to us at the price of the one we had on order. We will definitely be taking all of our business to them in the future. read more

I cannot say enough good things about the folks at Riegelmann's. This is the way to buy appliances. They've just remodeled their showroom, the staff is VERY helpful, the prices are reasonable and the service department is AWESOME. We bought all our new appliances there: washer, dryer, stove, range hood, dishwasher and fridge and have been nothing but pleased with every aspect of the experience. If we ever need another appliance (are there any that we don't have yet??) we will ABSOLUTELY go back there. They rock my world. I will never again buy from any other appliance store. Washer and dryer are perfect for my no-bells-and-whistles husband and I. Just about to pull the trigger on a dishwasher, also sans frills. The sales staff are honest, straightforward and not pushy whatsoever. My washer broke, it was a sad day. I called them and they sent a guy the next day to Estacada from Gresham to fix it! They were very honest about up front cost, and the cost if I opt out of them fixing it and I could part ways. The repair guy was really friendly and personable and it was an overall great experience. I don't know anything about fixing stuff and they were really helpful and trustworthy. Love Love Love these guys! read more

Don't ever buy a used washer! We bought a a Speed Queen based on their reputation. This has been a headache as long as we have owned it....yes it is still running BUT leaves dirt on clothes. I called Speed Queen spoke with tech who said the drum needed to be removed and thoroughly cleaned prior to them selling it to me. I called Riegelmanns.They were courteous but offered no help in this matter...Bottom line you never know what was washed in this prior to your purchase...some use alot of fabric softener that gunk it up...this time I was "penny wise and pound foolish" Buy new ALWAYS read more

Our range broke in our kitchen remodel. We needed a down draft & wanted a glass surface. The world only makes 2 models & Riegelmann's had both instock that we could touch & try! So we drove the hour drive & got there 15 min. before the closed! The salesman worked past closing time! We appreciated that! We picked the one we wanted. Asked about the knobs (1 was smooth & 3 were really hard to turn). They said they'd have their technician look at it & give us a call back! He gave us a quote. We worked out a delivery plan. Left there expecting to hear back & pay the next day. They didn't call us the next day or the next. We were so relieved & excited to get all of our needs met PLUS to have a range before Christmas AND to support a local, family business! By the time we called them back the owner had sold the only one they had, the one we'd gotten the quote on! WHAAAT!?! Thought it was ours? Because we waited so long to hear back from them, the Big Box stores delivery schedule is now on New Years Eve!!! Thanks for letting us leave without making it clear that the range was NOT ours, as he put a sign on it! Super frustrated & disappointed by their lack of communication & commitment to the buyer who was there first! Ended up buying the same model from a Big Box store! read more

We try to shop "local" whenever we can. We live in Gresham and of course Riegelmann's is right there. Some people think a smaller company can't complete price-wise with Home Depot or Lowe's, but they can. What Home Depot and Lowe's cannot complete with is the service you will get from Riegelmann's. Bought a refrigerator from Riegelmann's in fall of 2011. Within a month, we had to have it serviced twice. After that we continued to have problems with the ice making unit, but Riegelmann's kept coming out to fix it at no charge. After 2 years and all the problems, Riegelmann's suggested trying to replace the unit. They contacted the manufacturer and before we knew it, they called to say they would replace it. Their delivery guys came out, set up the new refrigerator and took the old one away. The new refrigerator has been upgraded and we have not have a problem since and now love our refrigerator. We also love Riegelmann's. The big box stores would never have helped us in this situation. Customer service still means something at this establishment. I highly recommend you take a look at Riegelmann's before you purchase an appliance anywhere else. You will become a permanent customer there as well. read more

We have used Riegelmann's over the years for several of our appliances (two refrigerators, a stove, a dishwasher, a washing machine, and dryer.) All of our appliances have lasted longer than the estimated time frame and met every expectation. In addition, the customer service has always been phenomenal; the sales people are well-informed, never pushy, and always helpful. I have never felt taken advantage of, as if they are just trying to get the most money out of me, but rather that they are actually trying to help you figure out what will best meet my need. My wife and I went looking for a stovetop and had never shopped Reigelmann's, but they are local and we wanted to support that. We ended up doing all the sales work, installation work, and never along the way did we feel as if we were valued customers. The price was the same as any of the big box stores (yes, we compared prices), and after all was said and done we feel we could have gone anywhere and gotten mediocre service. We may try again - perhaps it was our salesperson? - but I couldn't recommend them to anyone I know. Too bad, we wanted the locals to be great, not just so-so. read more

I was in desperate need of a hose for my dishwasher, and he saved me (I was very thoughtless and didn't catch his name). I walked in with the drain pipe for my dishwasher, and he told me the parts section was closed. Perhaps sensing my defeat, he told me he bets he can find what I need and heads to the back. Shortly after, he walks out with the part! I know its a little thing to some maybe, but I could have hugged him - at that moment he became my hero. Thank you so much for him being awesome today. This is by far the best appliance place in the Portland Metro area. I have purchased all of my appliances, washer,dryer, stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave, and freezer from them. I usually buy from Mike but they are all great! Service is superior and they are very friendly. Much better than a big box store. My old freezer went out and I needed one the same day. They were there within a few hours. It is worth the trip to visit them if you are in the market for new appliances. read more

Bought multiple appliances from them in the past, including two Waste King disposals. When the splash guard gasket on one fell inside the disposal one too many times and no longer fit my husband stopped in to pick up a replacement. Considering it was (and may be still) the only garbage disposal they sell, we erroneously thought they would stock the common replacement part. Gaskets wear out people! Not only do they not carry it, they told him to go to Home Depot for a universal gasket. My husband actually thought he was kidding as we have had good customer service and parts help in the past. But there was no offer to order, to look it up (he brought in the part so no guessing) or otherwise offer to find the correct fitting part. A trip to Home Depot was gas and time wasted as he found their universal replacements are not even close to the correct size. So as much as I like to support a local business, we ended up buying the exact part we needed for $5.67 on amazon. And it was such a souring experience over a commonly needed and cheap, small, easy to stock part that I don't think we will go back. read more
