Whenever we approached him during our showroom visit, he was super responsive and always got us the answers we needed. Before Ferguson's, we stopped by a more conveniently located appliance store and had a pretty crap experience. The salesperson we approached was too busy surfing the internet at his desk to even get up and help us. He half-answered a couple of questions from his chair before we decided to leave. It wasn't the kind of service I was looking for when I'm trying to spend some $$. (Okay...rant over.) Back to Raj--he made what could have been a pretty stressful and expensive process feel easy like a Sunday morning. He took great care of us every step of the way and we ended up purchasing our entire kitchen appliance package from him: wall ovens, range hood, refrigerator, and dishwasher. Nothing is cheap here, literally or figuratively. Everything is super well-made, but very pricey. My kid saw a pizza platter here for $20 that she purchased the day before at HomeGoods for $4.99. The exact same item. That said, this place carries a lot of brands and items that you cannot find elsewhere, and the staff are extremely knowledgeable about their product lines. Since they are now on one floor, an entire area is dedicated to furniture - beds, sectionals, tables, chairs, recliners - and you can see everything much easier, so important when you need to compare. Many items have options to customize fabrics and wood. They carry American Leather recliners which are my all time favorite. Small footprint and so comfortable. All of the colorful fiesta dinnerware is still there. As is the huge assortment of white dinnerware, bowls, serving platters, ramekins, pitchers and accessories. Plus simple glassware covering all types of drinks - water, juice, white wine, red wine, champagne, martini, margarita, highball - so you can buy the type and quantity you need, and they all go together. Shelves of small appliances, lots of baking pans and tools, dish towels, aprons, kitchen gadgets (always my favorite) and barware, too. Plus lots of local and national brand pantry staples. Since it's summer, they had a large variety of outdoor dining tables, bistro and conversation sets, with recliners and stack chairs also available. And of course outdoor dinnerware, many ready fir your July 4th celebration. A Portland company that has been around since the mid 70s, it's always nice to support local. At the same time, you are getting quality items and fantastic customer service. Lenny was very helpful, and the only one able to get me an appt for a diagnostic the next day. Michael came out and was awesome! I explained that I turned on a burner, heard a pop and stove died. I had turned off the outlet at the breaker and when Michael flipped it back on the stove came to life. So embarrassing.. still he checked all connections and wiring plus the temperature regulator to make sure everything was in working order. It all checked out and assured me that nothing was going to blow up on me which made me happy since I host Christmas and had Christmas Eve dinner and Christmas day meals to make. No more issues so far. Cost for tech to come out was $130 , if repairs needed,that is used toward repair cost. Definitely will use them again if needed and refer them to friends. I also had some snafus (all my fault--like ordering the wrong size hood and changing my mind about the custom oven I bought). Throughout all of this, Smiley was unfailingly kind and professional. He provided honest advice on the products and when things went sideways for me, he went out of his way to fix the problem and make sure I was happy and satisfied.
