Now, I cannot recommend them. We hired Around the Clock Movers to move us from CO to NM. During the time the helpers were disassembling and wrapping the furniture, our two off-white recliner chairs were badly soiled because one of the movers handled the chairs with dirty hands, and the other helper slid the chairs around on the dirty floor (he didn't put a blanket underneath the chairs) while he was wrapping them up for transport. I spoke to Phillip (one of the owners) about this that day so he was aware of what happened. Day, the other owner, oversaw our move, knew about the problem, saw the chairs once they were reassembled, and acknowledged the damage done to the chairs. He offered to pay to clean the chairs. I have left messages at the main number and called Day's mobile several times over the past few months, and I sent an email with all the details about what I have done to try to restore the chairs to their previous condition. The chairs are still soiled to the point of needing to be covered. I keep asking for someone to call me to get this issue resolved. Unfortunately, no one has ever responded. I'm posting this information so others can know what to expect should their furniture be damaged during a move.

I filled out the quote online and received a call from their logistics manager the same afternoon. We went through what my move involved in detail. She was great, thorough, funny, and a delight to speak with. Moving is stressful enough; it is so much easier when people care and choose to be helpful. She followed up with me the same day with a written quote and then again a couple days later to set my day and time. My move was initially scheduled for that winter storm and blizzard weekend. I got a call from the logistics manager again asking if I was okay rescheduling to the following weekend. Of course I didn't mind. Moving in the middle of a snowstorm sounded like a terrible idea to me too. On the morning of 20 March 2021, I was ready to get the show on the road! I made my way down to Denver to Public Storage to remove junk and prep the rest of my stuff for the movers. I got a call around 9:15 AM from the team to let me know they would be would meet me at the storage facility at 10 AM. They showed up at ten minutes early. They followed me to my unit and then discussed how they wanted to load the truck. I had already removed most of the boxes but all of the furniture and the extremely heavy boxes and crates were left for them. Good movers are a joy to behold. They got the rest of my belongings loaded onto the truck in 15 minutes. I drove ahead to my apartment to verify the spot for the truck and to open my apartment. They arrived about 15 minutes after I did. I showed the team lead the route to my apartment along with stairs and elevators. They organized my belongings and coordinated bringing them up. I sat and watched. It took them an hour and a half to get all of my stuff into my apartment. They even out of the kindness of their heads assembled my table and a couple of chairs for me. I signed all of the paperwork, paid them for their services which were excellent and the amount was totally reasonable, and they left me to my fully furnished apartment. The company followed up with me a few days later via email and phone call. I have nothing but the best things to say about Fischer Van Lines and their services! Thank you for one of the best moves I've ever had...and I move a lot!

I received a recommendation to use Fischer Van Lines to move my furniture from the living level of…read moremy house to the garage due to the wood floors being worked on. The quality of the two gents who moved the furniture was great, not only in attitude, but in professionalism and care of moving the furniture. A+! The issue is the quoting from Jeff Fischer (the owner I believe). We spoke as well as had a number of text exchanges and based upon the convo and info exchanged via text, I hired Jeff expecting the cost of the move out/in would be a total of $640 (noted in text exchange). However, after the movers completed the work, I was presented with an invoice for $460 which reflected half of the total bill for move out/in. I paid the invoice and sent Jeff a text asking him to reread the text exchange and to call me so we could discuss/resolve. When we did speak, he insisted that the cost he quoted was for one way when the text and convo was clearly for the entire job. Why would I want a quote for a half a job?? Jeff stated that the invoice reflects what he said. That is true but the whole story is that I hired him based on the information we discussed and what is reflected in the text exchange. The invoice came after our convo and I should have read it carefully but did not as there was a clear understanding in my mind based upon the conversation and text exchanges. Jeff got very heated and accused me of saying he was liar/dishonest, etc. I did not. However, I did cancel the return visit of his crew to move the furniture back because he did nothing to try to resolve. He spent his time berating me and trying to show me how he was right and I was wrong. In closing, I would not recommend Fischer Van Lines for any work because of my experience with Jeff Fischer. If you do decide to consider his company, I strongly suggest that you make sure that invoice you receive after you think you have a mutual understanding is reviewed and is accurate to that understanding. That was my mistake.

I have done many moves and have hired my share of movers and this was by far the worst experience I…read morehave ever had. Chris was incredibly unprofessional and was clearly moving slowly to run up the time. It took the full 4 hours (for a load and unload) I booked to move a two bedroom apartment and they weren't able to complete the job. They poorly packed the truck, so they weren't able to fit all of our items in the truck. Despite saying they would prioritize our larger items (of which we only had a few pieces), they did not and we were still left with a queen bed and twin daybed at the end of the time. I felt incredibly uncomfortable about Chris's attitude when I asked (politely) how long he thought it would take to complete the job because this was not a typical experience for me, he became aggressive, hostile, and raised his voice saying, "Are you saying we're moving too slowly?" and was extremely defensive. I was so uncomfortable and felt unsafe due to his behavior, so I released the funds to them when the time was up, but I regret letting them so blatantly take advantage of the time. For example, I saw Chris maybe one time in the first hour they were working, while his partner moved our things--and he was moving stackable crates so I know it certainly did not take an hour to load those in the truck. After I confronted them, I could tell they were moving even slower and I saw my items sitting in the hallways as I went down there and he and his partner were both just standing by the truck. Given the other review, this is clearly a pattern and a way to get more money doing less work. Avoid at all costs!!
