Pulled Pork Tacos were quite tasty. Wouldn't recommend the chicken one. Beers are good. Brussel sprouts were so/so. Maybe a little overcooked.

DISCLAIMER: local food expert Ridgewalker is a good brewery and pub. Best for their beer, go grab a drink and you'll be sure to enjoy it. The bar food is good to accompany their great beer. It's classic, and hits the nail on the head. Good spot for a date, time with friends, or a good lunch if hungry.

Such a great brewery In a quiet corner of Forest Grove! The patio is big and covered, the ambiance is woodsy cool, and their beer and food are awesome. I had a hazy IPA and a Cobb salad! Always a great place to visit i when I'm in town.

Trendy small town brewery. The wood tables are gorgeous . Burgers were great. I did not care for the tacos or tatchos. Next time I'll try something different. Overall, a cool place to check out.

    Habenero garlic wings & mac&cheese+chicken

Food was good. Service was good. I got habenero garlic hot wings and had a nice smokiness to them and the mac n cheese had lots of flavor (mostly from bacon and chicken, wish the cheese was just a bit more richer but its still great; if the super flavorful chicken wasnt there, maybe the cheese is rich afterall? I just couldnt taste the mac n cheese over chicken..chicken was great though, not complaining about the dish as a whole). Beer was good but far too warm (i tried 3 and drank 2; all too warm). Two parties returned beers while i was there for being too flat, but i think it was really cuz it was too warm; warm beers give the illusion of flatness. Music had alot of like mid 80's pop type music mixed in with a random mid 2000's song; Whitney Houston or similar artists like mary j blige, michael jackson, steve winwood, etc. didnt match the more rustic decor or vibe. Some of the songs were down right depressing and i was going here to escape like any typical outing. The different music playing in the kitchen in background over restaurant music was better (though difficult to have to listen to both). The tables and chairs are beautiful, but very hard, i kept squirming around trying to find comfort. They had 30 beers/ciders/wines available, which is a nice selection, but unfortunately even though i loved their food, the beer being barely cold is a no go for me.

The burger and garlic Parmesan fries are delicious! Burger was cooked a perfect medium rare and the fries were served hot and crispy.

A great local food and beverage venue. I ordered a beer but I'm not particularly knowledgeable so had them recommend something from their considerable selection. Their suggestion paired well with my burger and fries. Looking forward to returning for something different next time!

Fish and Chips. Fish: extremely hot and fresh, fries: cold on delivery. Timing issues. Overall, it was very good fish and chips.

Wife N and I decided to stay local for dinner, hitting Ridgewalker Brewing for our first time. We live a mile away; you think we'd have been here by now, but with apologies for taking so long to try it out, here we go. First, the place gets pretty packed. There's a long 24-top or so in the middle of the room, with 4-top booths around the perimeter. So odds are, if you're dining there during anything near a peak time, you'll be squeezing in among strangers and sharing a table in the middle of the room, as we wound up doing. The place isn't that big with a main room that can squeeze in perhaps 60 at most. There is additional seating outside, which is nice when the weather is decent, but I can imagine no one will want to sit out there on a rainy and cold January evening. Ordering is done at the counter, and you grab a number to bring to your table while you await your food, not substantially unlike many fast food restaurants--Ordering at a counter and waiting around to find your own seat seems a little informal for what otherwise appears to be a pretty nice place. On to the food. It was pretty decent in all, though the preparation timing was off and resulted in fresh-super-hot-out-of-the-fryer fish, sitting on a bed of cold fries. My blue-cheese burger, likewise, was very tasty, nicely done, but was sitting next to luke-warm fried Brussels sprouts that clearly hit the plate five minutes too soon. It's like there's no sense of timing all the elements so they hit the plate at the same time, and then getting that plate out to the patron. Plate elements were dying back there waiting for other elements. Food: decent, and would easily have been 4* pub fare if not for the timing issues that dropped it to 3*s. Beer: really nice selection for a tiny middle-of-nowhere-town brewpub. They easily had 20 or more brew and wine options, and of the several I tasted while honing my selection, all were excellent examples of their intended style. Great beers! The selection of beers is one of those "live" displays with everything up on screens. The problem: neither my mid-40's eyes nor my wife's could read a single thing on them. I literally was squinting and asking the counter-attendant to read them for me as the type was uselessly small. There may as well not have been any menu at all, for how useless the screens were. If you're going to put up "state of the art" TV menus, get something with a big font that pages through or scrolls so that us old guys can read it! Or even better---just provide a printed tap menu--sometimes the "old way" was actually the best way. Paper is recyclable. Not a fan of squinting at tiny print on blurry TV screens with a stack of people lining up tapping their feet behind me when trying to decide what I want to order. Second visit: several weeks later, we went back at 6:00 on a Friday evening and the place was absolutely packed (remember, there's no host(ess), so seating yourself is like the wild west of table rushes), and we didn't feel like standing around pacing and looking longingly at the other diners and food for 20+ minutes, so we wound up going somewhere else. Definitely the kind of place where "we'll text/page you when your table is ready" would be extremely helpful. 3.5*s. I'd say 4* if they can get a host(ess) and get the seating problems worked out and get their food out while everything on the plate is still hot. Overall, I think it's a great local place, food was really good, and we'll be back.

Spacious covered patio seating and delicious ciders!

Nice PNWesty brewpub, has an ample patio. We enjoyed some ciders and tacos under the shady cover then found the cool nearby wetland park to walk off some calories! Great little outing all around.

Pico + beer cheese = our own delicious queso
    Julia D.

Super nice girls working. The Ridgewalker stout we had was delicious, but it stinks they only have like four of their own beers on tap, so I had to get another brewery's beer because the other three weren't types I like. Their beer board is the sweet kind that updates in real time on their website, but the physical TV "board" is super tiny and very difficult to read. We ordered chips and salsa, but the "salsa" was actually pico de gallo, if you would even call it that. I don't think there was even any jalapeño or lime juice, just a pile of old tomato and weak white onion with cilantro. We ordered a side of their (delicious) beer cheese and dumped all the pico into it and THAT was rad for dipping chips. The rest of their menu is pretty basic and not super interesting, but the decor inside is beautiful with lacquered wood everywhere and it definitely compels me to want to return.

Place is small and cozy. Menu is not large but had great options. Artichoke dip was amazing. Wine was great. I had fish with almonds and it was fabulous. Noodles are made fresh. Price point was perfect. Best parts, they had gluten free pita bread for husband! He normally always had to have veggies with dip. Definitely was a happy man. They subbed his Au gratin potatoes for mashed. I was not in impressed with the service as dinner went on. Be prepared for a slow meal, but what I mean is our dinner was at 730 and we went till 930, which was fine but after dinner we asked about dessert and the waitress was very... tired? Put out and said "i am sure i can dig some bread pudding up still" Mmmmm, no thanks. We went someplace else for dessert. Maybe it was just due to new year crowd through the day? I'll go back. Located in the downtown Forest Grove area, close to Pacific University. Seems like a local hangout, and now issues finding parking, as we've always found street parking in front of the place. As we entered, it wasn't very busy, and no one greeted us at the entrance. But no big deal really, as the waitress (possibility manager) sat us at a table close to the kitchen. Service was pleasant and courteous, and on-point with the water refills. The dining area was pretty large and clean. I can only imagine, pre-pandemic, how popular this place would have been. Second time here, unfortunately no a/c to cool the place down. The guy serving us busted his arse to keep the place open for business. We had small samples bites and wanted to leave. $11 Korean BBQ Boneless Wings were glazed up good and not too hot in my opinion. However, the menu offers a lot to choose from, and the pricing is reasonable. Thus far I have not been upset with any of the dishes I've ordered. Would I come back? Yes, it's still a decent spot to hang out at, so long as there's good air flow and nice weather outside.

Hammerhead is celebrating 40? Congrats! 5. I did like my Cranberry Chicken Salad, though, including my fries. 6. Hubby finished his hamburger and salad, and he said they were delicious! We still look forward to staying at one of their hotels, maybe we'll do that during our 2026 Road Trip - Bend? OK, here comes the negatives: 1. We followed the GPS, and we entered the parking lot, and parked. But, we didn't see but two other cars, one all banged up. We weren't sure where the front door (or door was). We continue driving, inside their lot, and parked again. But, we didn't want to enter from the hotel, or maybe we have to enter through there, to get to the diner. At this point, we both needed to use the restroom! We kept trying on every door, maybe it's this no it's that one, wait, it's locked. Oh, no! That's another room. Finally, we found someone to help us. Honestly, I almost didn't made it! 2. We waited a long time for our ticket. I know they're short staffed. As we were almost done, they were getting more crowded. 3. Mustard & Ketchup: Shake before bringing them to our table, so they looked like they're brand new bottles. See photo below, dried up, leftover ketchup on the bottom side of the bottle. At least, wipe it clean, so we don't gross out! 4. French Fries thinly sliced, nice & crispy, but for pete's sakes, remove the two burned fries off my plate. 5. My Chicken Salad looks pretty empty along the sides. It's plump in the middle. The wheat bread looks dry! 6. We were both craving for something cold, something maybe to bring back to our car (ice cream, sundae, something like that). As we were walking back to the (side of the building) to the door back out, we spotted an ice cream freezer, and our eyes lite up. But, $8 for ice cream sandwich? Forgetaboutit! We walked by the outdoor dining area but they were not open until later on Tuesdays so we opted to dine at the Ironwork Grill with 2 toddlers. They seemed like they were short-staffed but service was still decently friendly, even though understandably a little slower. I wanted the Fig and prosciutto flatbread but they didn't have it which was disappointing. We ordered kids meal and the burger with tots costed $8.25 and did not come with a drink. I did not think it was worth that (see picture). I got the Crab and Shrimp roll originally with Cajun tots, but what came out was the soup of the day (minestrone) which I didn't mind since it's probably better for me anyway, same $1 up-charge cost. There was a good amount of crab and shrimp inside but the bread roll was dry so the soup helped. I will say that their Lunch Box Special is worth it at around $11 for a half sandwich, soup, and salad. Next time I'll get that. Generally I do think McMenamins food is a little on the pricey side and the quality can vary depending on the day or which McMenamins property you are visiting. Despite that, we got home and found multiple items missing. We picked up the food around 8:05, and by the time we realized the issue and came back, it was about 8:12. The lights were on and employees were clearly still there, so there was no reason to assume they were closed, especially given how unclear their hours are. My daughter went back calmly--CALMLY--just asking for a refund or for the order to be fixed. Instead of helping, Alexis came to the window aggressive from the start, yelling, blaming us, and refusing to take any responsibility. She even had the nerve to say we should have checked the order in the parking lot. That is NOT the customer's job. It got even worse when Alexis started accusing my daughter of recording, when she was simply taking a photo of her incorrect food.
