Let's just say tacos from the hood hit different than any tacos from places like Torchys. The service is like you would think.. wait until your order is called. It does get busy later in the evening so keep your ears alert for your order. The ambiance all depends when you come. If you come during the day, expect chill. At night consider it a taco night club with parking being limited. read more

This place was recommended to me today and was close to my house so i wanted to give it a shot. I dont claim to be a taco expert but these were just eh. I tried one of each taco- the chicken is not worth your time. The chicken had no seasoning. I enjoyed the barbacoa one the most. The other 3 were ok- i cant really tell the meats apart. Ive never had tacos served with grilled onions so i liked that. They didnt have the normal diced onions and cilantro, they had like a shredded onion with a little cilantro mixed in. They did serve the tacos with a red and green salsa which were a bit spicy for me. I tried some valentina and that added some nice flavor. The chicken definitely needs some sort of salsa on it. They had a menu item ive never seen or heard of before- a sincronizada. I ordered one with barbacoa. It was basically a soft quesadilla with 2 tortillas. It appeared to be just the barbacoa and cheese. I wish it was a little crispier. It also has a funky after taste, like old oil or something. I cant put my finger on it. I wanted this place to be better. Im sad. As far as the ordering, it will be most helpful for you to speak spanish or use google translate. The ordering process was quick and fairly simple other than the language barrier. It really wasnt bad. The place is run down, but its part of the charm. We love a hidden gem...but its not quite a gem this time. Not sure ill be back. read more

We went to Caesars first and had lengua, barbacoa, picadillo and marinated beef fajita- they were good. Then we decided to try some at La Paisanita to compare. The service was friendly and helpful. We ordered Barbacoa which was slightly seared with added seasoning creating the perfect texture and flavor you don't normally get with barbacoa- begging you to take another bite, the Lengua was full of flavor delicious. All their tacos come on freshly made maize corn tortillas that hold up without falling apart, salsas were freshly prepared (our fav was the verde aka green salsa) these were by far better than across the street. read more

Not my first time visiting. Hadn't been here in years, but it was Sunday night and tacos were on my noggin and decided to stop here before heading out of Dallas. It's a whole in the wall type of place. Parking is limited and there was a short line for orders. There is no indoor dinning. You order at the window and they announce your name loud enough for Cesar's (competitor accross the road) to hear. There was one picnic table next off to the side. Luckily having children has me prepared with all kinds of disinfectant wipes. There's no where to wash your hands here if you plan on sitting at the one table. Our order was supposed to be fajita and lengua. As you can see in the picture, they were all the same. One type of meat. What type of meat? Not a clue. It was very tiny chopped but didn't taste like one or the other. Cannot give this more than three stars and this is solely based on the tacos. The only nice thing about the tacos is they perfectly grease their tortillas with flavored grease from their meat. Their salsas were good too, but cold. Salsas are better warm so they don't cool the tacos. Their onion and cilantro were not finely chopped. Seemed sloppy. As far as service, my husband placed the order and he said they were very uncoordinated. They couldn't even get the drink order right. read more

The food is absolutely fire very good if you ask me, BUT and here comes the BUT. There is a a rude lady who always takes my order and will give you the ugliest attitude you ever seen. I HOPE they see this comment and DO BETTER. Food is fire asf don't get me wrong. read more

Solid taco spot among the already saturated marketplace of taquerias in Oak Cliff area. Theyve got great tortillas, as well as seemingly cilantro and onions Their green sauce is great, while the red sauce is god awful. All the meats I tried (pastor, lengua, barbacoa) were well executed. The pastor had this adobo pepper base that's different from the usual pastor marinade. Its still enjoyable, but can throw you off at first bite. The barbacoa was super wet, but had a good meaty flavor. read more

Not going back. No matter if you order fajita, pastor or barbacoa.. all the meats look and taste the same. It used to be so good here. Should of know... when we went it was a Saturday and there were like 3 cars there. read more

We ordered chilaquiles on a Sunday morning. I got the green sauce and my bf got the red sauce one. Quantity was huge. This was really tasty and red sauce was really spicy. The service was great. These were the worst street tacos I've ever had in my life. I ordered beef fajitas and what I got looked more like boiled shredded beef. No color, no texture and no flavor. I've heard rave reviews about this place and finally tried it, and was highly disappointed. read more

I don't recommend these place the meat it's over seasoning the tortillas all dry and the service is to slow and they are over price for so.e fuck up food I really not coming back again and not recommending these place read more

Worst tacos I've ever had and bad service. Let's start with the tacos, the tortillas were crispy and there was more fat than meat on the taco. They were also very greasy, we ordered 6 tacos all together with my party and they all were not good. The reason why I said we had bad service is because one, the prices in the menu are not update. I question the cashier about my total, and she told me the tacos were actually $1.99 and not $1.79 like on the board. To begin she told me my total was $25, when I started calculating everything she said it was a lesser amount of $24 and some change. The fact that she tried to take the extra change was very upsetting because that's just not right... I wonder how many other people have been ripped of by change. I know it wasn't a lot but it's the principle that counts. First and last time coming to this establishment! read more

One summer evening, I convinced a good friend to go with me on a taco shop crawl. We hit three shops that night, and La Paisanita was number 2 of our stop. It's on Davis in west Dallas, and it's a small building on the south side of the street. It reminded me of a shop at an amusement park because you walk up to the stand and order, and then sit in an open air patio that's filled with picnic tables. We ordered three types of tacos: chicken, pork, and barbacoa, and we got one gordita. Both selections came with cut cilantro and white onion along with lime wedges. The salsas were on the tables. The tacos were just what we expected....good! The meat was tasty, and they didn't taste too greasy, unlike the first spot we tried that night. If you are searching for a good taco spot to throw into the mix of your taco crawl, then put this place on your list. It's definitely worth a shot at winning your number one spot. read more

The customer service is terrible. My order was wrong. I called in an effort to get it corrected. They put the phone down twice then hung up. I called a third time and actually spoke to someone, who handed the phone to another guy, who hung up a third time without talking to me. I called a fourth time and they finally told me they if I left the office at that moment for a twenty minute drive back, that I could get the rest of my order. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I recommend Ceasar's Tacos across the street. Better customer service and quality/freshness if food. read more

First time going to Texas & my homegirl takes me to this place. Lol I had tacos de "fajitas"... They are bomb ass little tacos! The tortillas are crispy & the carne is soooo delicious! The cilantro, onions, & salsa make it even better! Lawwwwddd!! Lol What I don't like about this is that they call the carne de "ASADA",.. "Fajitas".. I'm guessing this is a Texas thang.. But what would they call the chicken & steak fajitas (the ones mixed with the peppers & stuff)? read more

Came at 8:30 in the morning, the ladies were talking in the back and couldn't hear me. I was waiting for at least 5 min. One of the finally came to take my order, I clearly said no cheese but of course she didn't hear me and added cheese. The food itself took 10-15 min to be ready and now I have to wait another 10-15. According to a Yelp talk this tacos where suppose to be bomb... Better than El Si Hay, wrong so wrong! The good, is that this tacos are hood, like they are pretty legit, double tortillas, greasy AF and they do not come with cheese! (Ha!) But first, they just may be too greasy like half of the taco is grease. Second, the meat isn't clean ( by clean I mean it has too much fat and meat that looks like it's an sea creature). I had 2 barbacoa and one lengua, and an after taste I could get rid off till I rinsed my mouth with mouth wash. That after taste it what got me the most, it wasn't a delicious Four Corners beer after taste, more of a dirty meat kinda thing. I give it 3 stars cause it's legit Mexican, my bf liked the burritos and it has a Buddha sculpture surrounded by Aztec gods. Hell yeah!!! read more

Yes, we were hungry, but these were some BOMB ass tacos! I would probably say they come in 2nd to really good tacos next to this place I tried in Orlando, FL. We all really wished we ordered more tacos because they were that good, but we were saving out stomachs for BBQ and this place was just a little snack. Probably the best snack we had though! Their salsa in the bottles on the table is super good too! Red is very spicy!! I would totally make this a go-to spot if I lived in the area! read more
