This is more a burger spot than a diner. I think it comes up as Rico's Burgers on google. It's located inside the Wonderland of the Americas on the lower level with a highly visible location across from Santiko's in front of the large fountain. Man, with a little TLC, this food court and mall in general could be a hidden gem everyone should explore. But for now, it's just a cool place to grab some Rico's, sit indoors with tons of sunlight and maybe go walk around Little Shops some upstairs. THE FOOD: It was decent. Nothing amazing but we liked what we ate. Just simple and fast. My Gyro had the right combo of ingredients but the gyro meat was garbage and cooked in a way that made it feel very cafeteria like. It looked good, but wasn't the best. At $9, this wasn't what I was hoping for. My wife liked her burger. At $5.95 with fries and Ice Tea, this was a hit. Decent size, good flavor, and the fries were good. My daughter did also like her Chicken Nuggets. At $3.50, so did I. SERVICE: The young lady at the conference was great. Very sweet and patient. Gave us a few free sweet teas which was nice. Like the way everything was bagged up too, with us in mind. Thanks for that. Just ok for me. Nothing really special about this place. Nothing was wrong with it but I feel if you sell burgers then it should stand out since competition is pretty thick. Patty on burger tasted like an in seasoned patty. Toppings were fresh. Lettuce seemed old. Fries were good. But gain just chili powder on the fries. All in all it was ok if your near the place and want a burger then there ya go. Wouldn't go out of my way to go here though. Babes old fashion is across the street. read more

While there is noting left at the Wonderland mall, Rico's is there. I was hungry after the movie, so I gave them a try. I ordered the 'Burger from Hell'. A nice sized burger with jack cheese and plenty of peppers and jalapeños. Also lettuce and tomato. Fries included in the price. Not a bad deal. The burger was really good, although a bit messy to eat. I kept having to reorganize the bun and its contents. The fries were extremely good. Crinkle cut, seasoned and crispy on the outside, soft in the middle. Just right. Give them a try. read more

The burger from hell is super spiiicyy, but it's great. The habanero sauce they put on it is sooo good! Fun atmosphere, my daughter loves to go there, she orders the fish and chips and dances to their music. They also have a crane game that we enjoy playing. read more

Had Rico's Diner for lunch and I wanted to try their veggie burger because I was looking over their menu online. I have to say the burger was so good. Always looking for a good meat substitute because I don't eat red meat. The price was affordable at $9.73 and came with fries and a drink. The fries were cooked well and the burger held together well. Only downfall is that it is a walk because it is located at wonderland mall aka crossroads mall but worth the trip. read more

A customer service story, it's long so stick with me. I had not eaten dinner and was at Wonderland Mall and made the decision to eat at Rico's Diner. I ordered a very simple meal of a Pita with chicken and fries, the Blue Plate Special for the day, and a bottle of water. When the order was up, the owner was putting ketchup on top of the container my meal was in and I asked if instead, I could have ranch dressing. I was told it was .30 cents. I advised I didn't have cash on me (I used my card for the just under $9.00 meal and had already paid) he smiled and said, "I'm sorry, ma'am, but it's.30 cents. I walked away thinking that there are other choices in that mall food court and that simple act, though minor would make me never choose to spend my money there. When I say the meal was simple, it was very simple and light on the fries so nothing I would be like, "This is the best thing ever so I will overlook the lack of customer service." After I finished the meal I decided to give the feedback to the owner. Instead of his response being that of someone who would care to lose my business he responded by mentioning McDonald's and how they charge for ranch dressing too. ACTually, they don't for one, they do if you want extra sauces but for the record, I have never been charged there for sauces (I get the sweet and sour for my fries, it's great, you should try it!) Since his response was such I advised him, one by one, the extra things that every other restaurant in the food court had done at one time or another in the years I have been going there. (I live close) And because his response was less than ideal from a customer service standpoint I started the sentence, "I have a large following on my social media....." I didn't even finish my sentence and he called mall security. He tried to tell the security officer that it was harassment for me to threaten to post something negative about him on social media, he also went on to threaten to sue me if I did. So I am not posting a single negative word about Rico's Diner in Wonderland Mall, I am simply telling you the story of what happened. By the way, the Mall security officer advised him that it was not harassment and that he could not do anything about me posting about his establishment. Do I really care that I didn't get free ranch dressing? No, all of the feedback I was attempting to give him was about customer service and it was met with Mall security being called. Was the food bad? No. Was it affordable? Debatable. Did I get treated like he cared to have my repeat business? Absolutely not. read more
