These sandwiches are huge! The half sandwich is the same size as anyone else's footlong sub, and most of them price in at under $7.00. If you're really hungry, or want to save one for later, get the full sandwich. The stars of this restaurant are the grilled steak sandwiches. My personal favorite is the philly steak, that comes topped with cheese and grilled mushrooms. Other toppings include lettuce, tomato, onions, peppers, oil, and Italian spices. If steak subs aren't your thing, they also make deli subs with salami, ham, turkey, etc. I can't comment on these since I've always just gone for the steak. All of the ingredients are very fresh, and sandwiches are made to order. Because of this, the line can get backed up during peak lunch hours, but the wait is definitely worth it. They make a living off their lunch customers. They've been around for a long time and haven't changed a bit. They have a great product and they leave it at that. Ordered a whole philly and didn't realize the size of these monstrous sandwiches. Sandwich was delicious but couldn't finish the whole thing. I explained to them that I didn't realize how big the sandwich was and couldn't eat the whole thing and wanted to know if someone was hungry and wanted the other half. They offered me cash back for the other half and gave me a cookie. How awesome is that? Needless to say I just put the money back in the tip jar and kept my cookie. Have been waiting for Rickys to reopen, had never been had planned to go then covid happened, well the good news is my sub was good I had a philly minus green pepper ,the bun was good the steak was good , fresh mushrooms not canned the veggies were fresh the sub was good! The negatives and there were a few 1st of all I waited almost 30 minutes for my sub 1 sub I had people that came in 4 people after me and got a bigger order before me, 2nd thing is the dining area wasn't clean tables that had been vacated and had food on the tables had not been wiped down cups and trays left on the tables people actually had no place to sit, the garbage was over flowing probably the reason people were leaving empty cups and trays on the tables 3rd the lids for the fountain drink cups were sitting in a bag next to the pop machine were people had to stick there hand in the bag to get a lid not sanitary especially with a pandemic going on these should be given out with a straw with the cup at the counter, 4th the tables are not set up for social distancing ! Sub was very good epic fail on everything else, with a nice remodeled building they need to concentrate on keeping it clean and the hygiene concerns for the customer , probably will not return. SImply the best subs around. I grew up 2 blocks from this place and by far the best subs i have ever had. I get the same thing everytime, but O have tried virtually all the subs and they are all very good. Whole chubby chicken with everything!!! This is even better after a night of drinking. This is an automatic hangover cure....Go next door to Joe's market and get a gatorade and it is perfect. Ricky is an awesome guy and is always there with a smile. THe Portions are huge so if you get a half you should be fine, but I love the food i usually will knock out a whole. This is no 5 dollar footlong it's much bigger!! Amazingly good subs! The Chubby chicken is one of my additions. Now that they have a Cajun version of it I get it just about every time! I love this place. I use to go when I was an intern in the area, now 20 years later I came by and had almost the exact same food I had 20 years ago.
