Had a great dining experience....The waitress was great..Had nice outdoor seating...I got the Lobster fries and they were fantastic...I also got the coconut shrimp which were good too...I likes the orange marmalade that came with them too...Together, they made a great meal...Will definitely come back to this place...One of my favorites now...Oh, and I was able to find parking with my vehicle at around 6 pm.

What a great vibe. Just off the beach. Cool outside bar that opens up inside. Menu is large and service is awesome. Food was good as well. I'd come here lot if we lived here. Specials menu looks like I'd come for that as well. Great Food!!!

Classic beach spot with good vibes and surprisingly decent prices! Service was quick for our party of 5 (including a toddler) and there was something for everyone on the menu. We ordered the crab cake BLT, bang bang shrimp tacos, shrimp po boy, and chicken wings and everyone seemed to love their orders! We got there between 5 and 6 and basically walked in to a table though it did look like it was picking up when we were leaving. Parking looked fairly limited but it's a super short walk from the beach so that's what we did and it was good way to end a beach day

This was my first time at Rick's Reef and I have to say I was impressed. It's a cozy little place that looks unassuming at first. However, the food was great and so was the service! The softshell crab sandwich was good and the lobster fries were great!

Fun spot for dinner and drinks in St. Pete Beach! Prices are reasonable, service is good and the ambiance is lively. The painkiller was tasty. We had the crab cakes and potato skins and both were solid. The 2 for 1 fajita deal seemed like a good option too! Will definitely be back!

Lots of people always suggest this restaurant and we have yet to stop here, but now we finally did. At first you see a sign, wait to be seated, we stood there for a quick second no one came so we just stepped inside and that's when Blake greeted us. Basically got to choose wherever we wanted, so I picked a spot where I can see the football games. After sitting for a few and having a drink we decided to order. I tried the lobster fries, which were out of this world! They were really good! Then I ordered the po' boy but upgraded to the grouper with tater tots. It comes with a "shark sauce" which is a horseradish/mayo and it was good! My wife got chicken fajitas with their fried corn. She really liked the corn and the fajitas! The food was really good, and I was so glad since it was our last meal for our trip to St. Pete. The inside is very laid back, lots of tv's so I was able to watch some football while enjoying our time there. Our waiter, did a great job, very friendly and gave good suggestions.

We had to wait quite a long time, even though they didn't have many clients and inside is more than half empty, they were short of help. Their food was really good tho they didn't have food I wanted to eat. I ordered mussels in red sauce, chicken wings Mc lobster side salad. They were all pretty good, but Mac lobster was a bomb. I would eat that any time any day!! Nothing fancy but nice place to have a dinner and drinks. I probably wouldn't go back. I thought their seafood selection was lacking!

I tried the small Sonoma board (which was discounted for happy hour) and it was a good-sized, cheese-focused board with solid combinations. the meat and cheeses come with cornichons, olives, and crackers. the caramelized balsamic onion jam was incredible with the sweet blueberry goat cheese and the spicy salami. Arrived to about a 1/2 full restaurant which was smaller than we expected. Seated promptly, menus presented, water ordered as my husband wanted to have time to look at the drink menu. We settled on the lunch menu with an order of bolognese and the meatball appetizer that we would share since Italian food is usually plentiful and filling. My husband also later ordered a glass of wine. Shortly after we were delivered bread to our table and we were confused because it looked like garlic knots. My husband said something to our waitress and I questioned maybe this bread goes with our lunch entree with the waitress standing right there and agreeing with me. We are not normally bread eaters and the more we looked at it, we thought it was a mistake. We flagged our waitress again as she was walking by and asked again. This time she said, "you did not order garlic knots?" and we said no, we ordered the meatball appetizer. She promptly takes the bread, goes back to the kitchen area and I thought I heard her say "lunch" to the chef, I assume. Not sure why this was confusing as my husband literally pointed at the lunch menu as he was ordering and saying we were going to split. Not a big deal at this point but then it seems like moments later she is back with the meatballs and the bolognese. We look at the dishes and we were literally shocked. We had never seen such small meatballs (2) for an appetizer for $9. I thought the meatballs would be redundant since we ordered bolognese but there was so little meat in the dish (maybe 2-3 teaspoons at the most) and so little pasta (think small salad bowl or plate size) that it was not redundant at all. A side of bread was brought with dipping oil as well. It was mid afternoon and we were very hungry at this point so we started eating.. Sadly the meatballs and bolognese were brought to us luke warm as if they had been warmed up. We certainly did not have a long wait so they were not sitting cooling down anywhere. We just ate our meal and ended up eating the bread (which was excellent) because it was not enough food for us. The waitress checked on us towards the end of our meal and finally brought my husband's 1/2 glass of $10 wine (we thought she had forgotten). We did not mention the temperature of the food because at that point we had already eaten it most of it. Looking at other reviews now I see some people did mention luke warm food and the owner did not seem to believe them. We know what was presented to us and yes, it was luke warm. We thought the food was pricey for what you get and the luke warm food on top of it makes us have no inclination to try this restaurant again. Overall we were not wowed by the quality of the food except the bread which we normally never eat.

This is the kind of place that feels like it's been around forever, in the best way. Spacious for the area, lively without being chaotic, and backed by attentive service that keeps things moving even when it's busy. The menu is extensive, and then just when you think you've seen it all, there's a specials board tucked away with even more to choose from. If you can time your visit right, Tuesday is the move. They run a buy one pound, get one pound half off deal on snow crab legs, and it's easily one of the best values around. The snow crab legs are fresh and satisfying, and the Dungeness crab holds its own as well. Both pair perfectly with their rich, drawn butter, simple but done right. Portion sizes here are no joke. The shrimp skewers are almost excessive in the best way. Three skewers loaded with roughly eight shrimp each, so you're looking at around two dozen shrimp total, all a solid medium-large size. It's the kind of dish that makes you pause when it hits the table. The shrimp pasta is another standout and clearly a house favorite. It's packed with flavor and easily one of the more memorable dishes on the menu. Good enough that ordering a second one to-go actually makes sense. The clam chowder, though, was the one miss. While it's loaded with plenty of clam meat and has a hearty base, there's a slightly smoky flavor that throws it off. If you're a chowder fan, it might not hit the mark. Probably something to skip next time. As for the crab cakes, they passed a pretty tough test. A Maryland native at the table gave them a strong approval, which says a lot. Pro tip: Get there early, ideally around lunch, if you want to lock in that snow crab deal. It's popular, and you don't want to risk missing out. Overall, this is a reliable, crowd-pleasing seafood spot that leans into big portions, solid execution, and a relaxed coastal vibe. Whether you're a local or just visiting St. Pete Beach, it's an easy recommendation and definitely worth a return trip.
