We didn't have reservations, so we arrived promptly at 5:00 p.m. and were lucky enough to grab two seats at the bar, which is first come, first served. As the restaurant gradually filled, it was impressive to watch the staff work together so seamlessly. Mava and Christine never seemed to stop moving; giving recommendations, crafting cocktails, checking on guests, and somehow keeping everyone's glasses full while maintaining a relaxed atmosphere. The food is absolutely something to rave about. I honestly wanted to order one of everything on the menu. The garlic bread may sound like a simple starter, but it's anything but ordinary. The salmoriglio, roasted garlic, fresh parmesan, and crisp texture come together to create something that's incredibly satisfying. I only planned to have a couple bites before my meal, but I ended up eating a couple pieces. Also, the meatballs are worth trying as well. They had moisture, flavor and the tomato sauce sealed the deal. To drink, I started with a classic Negroni and later enjoyed a Last Word with my entrée. Both cocktails were exceptionally well balanced and paired beautifully with the food. For my main course, I ordered the scallops. They were cooked perfectly and served over a creamy herbed risotto with romanesco and piquillo peppers. The crispy slice of prosciutto added the finishing touch, bringing just the right amount of texture and saltiness to the dish. Everything fit together beautifully and tasted every bit as good as it looked. I cleaned the plate as best as I could. To finish the evening, I enjoyed a shot of espresso and a scoop of gelato--a fitting way to end an Italian meal. It's easy to see why Olivia stays consistently busy. Between the exceptional service, thoughtfully crafted cocktails, and outstanding food, they've built something special. I'd love to visit their Tampa location to compare the two, but I'll gladly return to this location again and again. If you're looking for authentic Italian cuisine with an energetic atmosphere, attentive service, and food that's worth talking about long after dinner, Olivia deserves a spot at the top of your list. We began with their signature Peruvian Ceviche with coconut and kafir lime (the non-spicy version for me - there is also an ají amarillo version you can get with a bit of a kick to it) and the Smoked Mussels Toast. The ceviche was served in a deceivingly small bowl that contained a generous amount of fish and it came with crispy plantain chips. The mussels toast is a dish I NEVER would have ordered myself, but I let my husband pick and it turned out to be my favorite surprise of the meal. Served on crispy toast points with salsa macha aioli and a green pepper adobo that worked beautifully together. I could not rave enough about this dish! (Just try it! You'll thank me!) Our next 2 small plates were the Pulpo a la Gallega and the Lollipop Lamb Chops - both incredible. The octopus had a lovely char, but was very tender. It was served with crispy and slightly spicy papas bravas. The lamb chops were served on a bed of pistachio butter - and yeah, it was AS amazing as it sounds. My only complaint is I wanted about 6 more lamb chops...I kid, I kid. But seriously, we will probably order 2 plates of these next time. Deliciously tender and again, had a lovely chargrilled taste to it. At this point, we were too full for any more savory small plates, but, there was just enough room for dessert! We tried the Guava Sorbet, topped with a rum and cream cheese fondant icing and pomegranate seeds.
