I've been a Realtor for over 25 years, but this was my first experience with powder coating our sign frames. In the past, we just had them repainted regularly, and in no time they were flaking, peeling, etc. A fellow agent recommended Rick's and it won't be my last time doing business with them. The front office girls - Dana, Jessie, and Julie - were courteous, efficient, and very professional. My experience with Ricks was very good. I was looking for a place to paint the wheels for my motorcycle. A friend of mine recommended Rick'a for powder coating because it supposedly lasts longer. I went online and did some research and eventually decided to give it a shot. I went by on a Monday and picked out my color. They have an extensive color pallet to choose from and some of the colors are transparent. Picked the wheels up that same week on Thursday so the turnaround was pretty good. I brought two pieces of metal to be powder coated. called a week later and could get no info about when they would be ready. called a few days later and she said she would call me back later that day but she never called. It's been over a month now and have heard nothing from them so gave up. Don't want to deal with them. I had new parts made and painted them myself. Something is not right at that place. read more

We use ricks for everything for cars to atv parts and rims but this time Ive gotten the short end when it came to my calipers. Their masking is poor they didn't paint the entire front of my calipers and photos will do justice of what I was left with. I had my car on blocks for a week waiting to get the calipers back to now I have to add some duplicolor touch up to make it look right. My dad and brother are really into cars and insisted I get my rims powder coated black on my new car. So finally I let them take my car for 3-4 days to get them painted. I was a little skeptical on where to take them... Rick painted my dad's racecar and I really didn't have much say on where they were headed anyways. Finally on a Wednesday afternoon I was dragged along to pick out the color black I wanted... Who knew their were so many options? Pulling up to Rick's I went from excited to a little concerned. There are metal objects everywhere waiting to be powder coated... Neon painted lawn furniture covers what you can see inside the shop. We get into the office to pick out the color and you barely stand in the office because there is so much junk. I just had to hold my tongue and trust my dad on this one... I came home Friday after driving my dad's bus of a vehicle for 2 days and my flat black rims were already back on my car and it was ready to rumble! They did a fabulous job. Bought a set of rims in LA-LA land and had them shipped here for powder coating. Gloss black came out great and they were done quickly. Unfortunately they were the wrong rims. First, this company lied about turnaround time. This could be accepted, but the kept on lying. Next the workmanship was poor to say the least. They did a very poor job of masking, there is dirt and grease under the coating in some places coated surfaces that should not have been and they got powder coating into the screw holes, and now it's nearly impossible to re-fit the original hardware. I will attempt to correct the problems myself so that I can even use these calipers and or have someone else correct it for me. I was planning to have all of my cars and truck rims finished, but, I would never in a million years allow them to touch anything I own, and I advise anyone to do the same.
