I'm a commercial contractor from Knoxville, Tennessee. I submitted a bid proposal on a rather large job in the Memphis, TN area. The project required a ton of metal fabrication and welding services. After my company received the contract I was tasked with finding the right welding company to read prints correctly, supply needed materials, work safely, and do quite a bit of work in order to meet my two month deadline which was October 2nd. The first obstacle was finding a welding company that was insured and certified for commercial structural steel work. I believe there was only two after calling several. Unfortunately my own very talented crew handles areas of work in numerous trades except for welding work. I'll be honest after some intense research I was a bit indecisive on which company to go with. I was definitely leaning towards Smith's Mobile Welding after seeing numerous pictures I knew these guys were talented. What made me hesitant were a few bad reviews. Granted they have WAY more good ones than bad but like it said this was a big project and no room for era! Let me tell you after meeting with Blake and going over the plan I knew he was my guy! A++ work performed by TOP NOTCH GUYS. Just moved down to the Memphis from Boston MA for work and was having issues with my car. A local mechanic told me my engine block was cracked and wanted to charge me a fortune to remove it and "try" to fix it. Did some research and found Smith's Mobile Welding. Called and spoke to Blake. I explained what the mechanic told me was the issue. He offered to come out that night, but I told him the next day was more than fine (immediate response is NOT the norm in Boston!) Highly recommend this welding company! Great service, knowledgeable craftsmen, and you can tell they genuinely care about satisfying their customers! I seriously can't say enough good things about them. I originally called them to my residence in Germantown, TN to repair the control arm on my driveway gate which they fixed perfectly in no time! I needed some bars welded on my overhead Jeep rack to accept an overhead cargo carrier. Smith's mobile welding took care of a problem I had with a large motorized gate. I was convinced I would have to replace the whole gate. Problem occurred at 10pm on a weekend and I was afraid I wouldn't be able to get help until Monday. Gave him a call and was askd to send pics and was promised a call back. Sent pics and described job thoroughly and never got the call back. Called again and nothing.
