Apparently a car battery is not supposed to be installed. He said he would do a temp fix to the board and he used my gorilla tape so that the gate would work. I paid him $225 via Venmo to a Michael Burkett. He was supposed to email me a copy of my receipt and an estimate for a proper repair for a new board. I have repeatedly called and texted him to send me receipts and estimates. After two days my gate is not working again. Five days after the service visit, my gate stopped working again. I paid $225 for a temporary repair that involved replacing the battery with a smaller unit and using my Gorilla Tape as part of the repair. My car battery was thrown in the recycle trash bin. I was also promised an invoice/receipt and a written estimate for a permanent repair involving a replacement board. Despite multiple phone calls and text messages, I have not received either document. While I understand the repair was intended to be temporary and that scheduling or staffing issues may arise, the fact remains that I paid $225, the gate failed within days, and the promised documentation was never provided. Because of these circumstances, I no longer have confidence in having your company perform additional work. I am formally disputing the charge for the battery and request a prompt resolution of this matter. As a retired senior on a fixed income, I expected clear communication, proper documentation, and a repair that would remain functional for more than a few days. Since raising these concerns, I have received a voicemail from you demanding that I call you back immediately, stating that you were "not even playing" and referencing my review and dispute of the charge. Given the tone and content of that message, I now feel uncomfortable and intimidated. I am requesting that all future communication regarding this matter be made in writing.
