Not only is he incredibly thorough with his work but takes the time to walk you through what work is required along with the materials used (if you'd like to know). His pricing is beyond fair and reasonable and he does not overcharge you nor try to sell you on what is not necessary. He makes solid recommendations that I felt I could trust. If you want someone who cares about the quality of their work and will go the extra mile, Rick's Plumbing is for you. We called Rick to fix a leaking sink. While he was here, I asked about replacing my water heater because it was old and I knew it's life expectancy had passed. He discovered it was more than old, it had become damaged because a leaky toilet had been dripping on the water heater, probably for years, and it had rust on the outside. He repaired the toilet which involved repairing the weak floor - the cause of the leak, replaced the water heater which involved replacing some poorly installed pipes, and while he was at it, we had him replace 3 toilets, install a water softener and a Reverse Osmosis unit. He showed up on time, worked like crazy for 3 full days and left us feeling a lot drier. Do you have a plumber who calls back after 2 days to see how everything was and if there were any problems? Rick did! I saw the reviews that said his personality is negative but I disagree. Yes, he has a strong personality, but he has strong opinions of how a repair should be made. Found Rick on yelp like many of you and saw the reviews were pretty good. Like everyone else that had given a 5 star I can't say anything different then the other Yelpers. I called Rick to repair my water heater. He came on time, was very friendly and knowledgeable on the issue of why the heaters pilot light would not stay on. He was very quick and through on removing and replacing the bad part as well. Didn't leave any mess behind, cleaned up all the excess debris from the heater. We remodeled our kitchen and needed a disposal, faucet replacement and hose bib installed ( I thought). Rick got here and took a look under the sink , asked if I just wanted patch work or fix it right so I thought it was just a up selling job. After opening up the stucco wall I saw what he had figured and totally agreed with his diagnoses and glad he(we) did it right. I started my Monday with our water heater leaking in the garage. I gave Rick a call and he was there within 30 minutes. In less than 2 hours, the water heater was replaced with a new one, and i have to say, one of the most best looking installations that i have seen. Where do I begin with how awesome Rick is? I called him years ago because we wanted a water softner and he came by that same day and gave us a free quote. He then had the water softner installed two days later. I then called him several weeks later because our washer hook ups were leaking, and he came by and fixed that AND put in a new drain for our bathtub. I've called/texted him numerous times and instead of charging me he has given me free consultation over the phone. Then today he came and replaced our reverse osmosis system, fixed the leak under our kitchen sink, put new pipes AND replaced our faucet. Where we live, the water is treated with chloramines so we wanted a filter that would remove toxins and heavy metals etc as well.
