What a horrible horrible place. Under staffed. All young kids with no experience or leadership. Wings were burnt to a crisp with oil that was way past it's expiration date. French fries were under cooked and soggy. Clam roll was on a soggy piece of bread. Lobster BLT meat tasted like a sponge. I'll never get that $150 back. What a shame, great location. You have been warned. read more

Not bad, but not great either. Best part is siting outside and watching The view of Long Lake. Best bet is the salads and wraps.

We ordered lunch, service was good, location was good, food was pretty good. Some of the options (nothing that we ordered) were just massive. Beyond what any person should be served, except for a game show. read more

Kind of pricey for the quality level of the food! The service was very friendly, and the atmosphere was nice being right on the water. We went on a Wednesday afternoon, and our party included myself, hubby , and 4 kids *three of which are teenagers). After ordering drinks, which came relatively quickly, we ordered a late lunch/ early dinner. Our order included 4 lobster rolls, a chicken wrap, and a kid's size chicken tender dinner with fries. The lobster rolls were ok...not a ton of lobster on them, but that was to be expected, I guess....we weren't dining at a pricey seafood restaurant. The wrap had quite a bit of blue cheese on it, which seemed to overpower the chicken, etc. Overall, our lunch/dinner was ok. The bill, with tip, was $122. We rented a beautiful home on the lake, and will definitely return to the area, just not so sure we'll return there. Pretty expensive for a lunch! read more

Yes the location is nice, but there are better places on the Causeway to eat. We waited 10 min before our waitress even came by, so we ordered everything right then. Then we never saw her again. Ordered chicken nachos (which should be huge for $20!) but received chili ones. No one gave us plates, checked on our order, or refilled our drinks. Shame on management for not having place better staffed on busy Saturday! Won't be returning...ever! read more

We had the best meal here. Jerk wings , fried clams and great steak wraps.Bailey was an outstanding waitress. So friendly, efficient and fun! She gave the best service! read more

Good size portions. Great scallops and fish and chips. Kid friendly. Kids meal served on a frisbee. Great view.

I have eaten at Ricks before it sold to new owners. I returned to Naples wanting to re experience good past memories. They failed me so much I wrote this review. Bad food, poor service from unfriendly staff and I won't return. Skip Ricks and go some place else. The only positive characteristic is the view, which is why it got a one star. read more

As many other reviews stated this place is pretty basic ... and a tourist trap. Although the outdoor space was nice to sit and have a drink the food was pretty substandard. What I found odd was how quick our food came out. Usually quick is a good thing, but for how busy the restaurant was and the fact one of us ordered a burger our food being served in under five minutes is a huge red flag that screams HEAT LAMPS!! Couple that with the fact the burger was ordered medium rare and came back well done pretty much screamed the food was pre-prepped. Also ... huge pet peeve of mine ... don't state you are serving "sautéed" mushrooms when they are clearly from a can!! Gross. My turkey club was decent ... but how do you screw that up? Other pet peeve? The French fries were clearly fried with seafood ... gross. 3 stars for the setting and staff which was very nice and helpful. I would go here for a beer again but nothing more. read more

Tourist spot - view is far better at The Freedom Cafe - no powerlines to look through. The food - no clue why you'd order food here; everything is over priced and reheated off a Sysco truck. It's too bad, they are missing the boat but who cares at $9/ a burger and $5 a beer - they made their money I guess. Better off at Tail of the Lake for lobster or Freedom Cafe if you really want a good meal. Not sure how you can give this 3 stars when your friend got FOOD POISONING after eating there... what merits 2 stars - a trip to the hospital? Wake up Ricks - you were better 10 years ago. read more

I went to Ricks Cafe with my family for lunch during a day on the lake. There were 11 of us and we spent over two hundred fifty dollars on food. We got take out to eat on the boat. The service was slow and the staff was very reluctant to give us extra ketchup, tartar sauce, forks and napkins with our huge order. The food was ok. When I got home I checked my receipt against my bank statement and discovered that the cashier added himself a handsome tip over and above the tip I left for our takeout order. I had to call up and argue with the manager to get this extra amount removed. We will never go there again. read more

With a breathtaking view of Long Lake, service and quality did not disappoint! Fried clams and buffalo wings had sizeable portions and excellent flavor. Special request Lobster Roll huge portion. Sam Summer off the tap and a Bloody Mary, but we were drooling at the frozen drinks at the next table! Been coming here summers for 25+ years and still loving it! read more

Good option in Naples if you can't get into the Black Bear or Lobster Shack or if you are just sick of eating seafood. Nice setting in Long Lake and a good selection of drinks. Food is nothing special- pretty much bar food with a few bells and whistles. Come here for a nice Maine summer breeze and sit outside and some drinks with friends but not for the cuisine. read more

the incredible location is obviously a draw.....my family has a Rick's rule...no dinner...lunch only....I think it's seriously overpriced but as other's have said you go for the view, the ability to be totally casual and to 'feel " like you are on vacation. Lunch selection is typical american bar type stuff....younger kids love the 'free" frisbee that comes with the kids meal....wait staff have always been very friendly and seem to care about things once they begin....the initial wait for a waiter can be a bit long. read more

Gross. I'm pretty sure the burger I got was a frozen patty. I have no idea why this place is busy we tried it out after being in town all afternoon, was not expecting anything amazing but I was really let down with the meal. It's very expensive for what you get. Will not repeat. read more

Gross. Food is barely edible and the prices are outrageous! Staff could care less. Every year I'm surprised it stays open.

After searching the hours of operation, we arrived at the location but it was closed. The doors were open so we went in and came back to find the owner returning after walking his dog. We asked if he was open and he replied , " what does it look like! ". Well, he did not have to be rude and he sat across the street smoking and staring and could have said SOMETHING. I think we dodged a bullet. read more

This place has great American bar food and great service. I've been going year after year for the past 16 years. I always know I'm going to get great food and an unbelievable view of the lake! The service is fantastic. Always helpful and friendly. Other area restaurants are hit or miss , but I can always rely on a great time here. read more

We went here while on vacation, the view of the lake was beautiful! On the other hand we found the food to be just ok and very, very overpriced. I got the lobster salad and although it had a good amount of lobster meat on it, the lettuce was brown (my thought is they cut it early in the day and left it out as it was brown at the cut lines but not wilted) it came with 2 cherry tomatoes and 4 cucumber slices on it you can hardly call that a garden salad. For a $22 salad I expected better!!! The kid's meals were not bad and they came with a Frisbee which the kids loved. Don't know if I would go back if I was in the area again there are other restaurants I would try instead. read more

We go to Rick's for the waterfront experience. It's typical food with Summer help servers that don't seem to have any real care for their customers. The tables are always sticky or wiped up with a swampy rag. Service takes a long time and the food is overpriced that either comes from a #10 can or a freezer bag. As I said, we go for the waterfront experience. But that just doesn't cut in anymore. I can't patronize a place that treats you like crap simply because they hold the real estate that should go to someone who understands that when you go out for dinner and drinks, you want to feel good when you pay the bill. On this particular occasion, and why I decided to write, my wife and I stopped in around lunch time as we passed through Naples. We spoke to the young hostess and asked for a table outside, by the edge of the patio so we could get the waterfront feel. There were 3 or 4 empty tables. She explained to me that we couldn't sit there because it wouldn't be fair to the waitress. You see, they have a rotation and the waiters and waitresses need to be accommodated before we even think about what a customer wants. We turned and said OK and left and I couldn't believe that anyone in the restaurant business would allow a customer to walk out. God forbid they figure out how to move a server to another table so they get their fair share of tips. As for the hostess, she needs some customer service training or more than likely a better upbringing. If her parents never taught her the fundamentals of communicating and common courtesy, I guess the owner or manager wouldn't be able to coach her. Not that they give a good #$@* as I've rarely had a memorable night of decent service in this gloried Denny's. Seek food elsewhere. The region has some places that are really making the effort to build a business through good service and good food. read more

After going to Freedom Cafe, being told to pick my own table and waiting for twenty minutes without being served... We went to Ricks Cafe. We were very happy to be greeted by a young lady who brought us to our table right as we walked in the door. Less than a minute after we sat down at the table, a new waitress came over to our table with the manager and they took our drink order. She told us about the specials and they were both very friendly. They were great all through the meal and it was nice to see them teaching their new staff how to properly handle working in the food service industry. Freedom could take a few lessons from Ricks. Food was good, drinks were cold, and I would recommend it to anyone I know. read more

The lobster and crab dishes had a freezer-burn taste. Not good. I had friends come in from New York and they were not happy. People come to Naples, Maine for beauty. We realize it's not New York or San Francisco, but we hope to get some decent food. We're here from all over the country and we're not stupid. Get it together or your business will be very short-lived. Thanks for very little. read more

Wow what a place , great view from the upstairs , friendly staff , the lobsta was excellent and reasonably priced for touristy Naples, ME, thought the place was clean , the food was top quality and the owner Eddie is a great guy! Highly recommend! read more

Love this place! Live music and great views. Fun people as well!

Went here with my party of 5. Ordered a quesadilla and came out with a lot of water in the plate ??? My friend got a chicken salad wrap but how can you mess that up ?? Overall the food was okay and service okay. View was nice read more

Horrible. Overpriced, bad food, terrible service. Food was dropped off by a runner and we never saw our waitress again, we had to get up and find someone to ask for sauce that wasn't delivered with the food. read more

Rick's is ok food is average nothing signature, prices are ok, drinks could be bigger.

Parent went as had a great waiter names Keegan! They insisted I write a review on the great service he provided.

Ricks overpriced shit hole. But the view is solid . If weak overpriced drinks and shit food is your thing, ricks is the place to go. Tourist trap read more

The food is good. The nachos are their best item but its huge. Its got the standard summer fare, drinks and a fine kids menu. I have been eating there since the early 90s and I cant say the place has changed much but it is a fine place to eat with the kids or a large party of varying ages. Not a diner date place. read more

Went there midweek and the service was terrible. The waitress took forever to bring drinks and by the time I got a second drink I was thru with dinner. She told us that she was given a party of 20. No excuses. Not happy with the service, food was ok. read more

Awful experience from beginning to end. The restrooms have no changing tables so I had to walk across the street to my car for a diaper change. We were given three high chairs before we found one that wasn't broken and all were sticky and dirty. We ordered water and soda and it came in 10 oz small plastic cups. We asked if it was possible to get a larger cup and was told they didn't have anything bigger unless you were ordering alcohol. My husband ordered the bacon shrimp wrap which was very skimpy and only had two small pieces of shrimp, lots of lettuce and a piece of bacon. Service was very slow and not at all friendly. read more

Went on a Thursday evening with kids, light to moderate business. Service was excellent, food came quickly, prices overall reasonable. The lobster salad was delicious but pricey. Hubby's wrap was great also. Kids meals came with a frisbee and passes to local arcade. Overall just what we expected but much better than some of these reviews! read more

Location is what makes this place worth a stop. It's right in the middle of the causeway, a busy spot and tourist mecca in Naples. Drinks are good too. Food is just average but service was attentive and prompt. read more

Had a nice lunch at Ricks Cafe...burger was cooked perfect....service was quick and great!!!

Great if you want to have a drink or a meal on the Naples Causeway, and service is decent during the extra busy times in the summer, but the food is middling and you pay for the prime location. read more

Way overrated. Worst strawberry margarita ever! Bartender must have purposely screwed it up. Waitress even saw me wince twice as I tried to drink it but couldn't be bothered to offer to replace it. Food is bland and over priced. read more

Definitely caters to tourists....busy Friday night and the food and service were both very good. Place was rocking....live music was incredible, tipped him $20! Just bought on Frye Island and will return. I can tell you this...if everyone that had a great experience at a place like Ricks jumped on Yelp to share...it would outweigh all the nasty , petty reviews. I hate this site for that.....its always the freaking whiners that get on here and embellish their selfish experiences in life. Nice job to Rick's and all the hard working staff that made our night awesome!!! read more

We got the chance to visit Rick's for the second time and unfortunately it turn out to be a bad choice. We waited for an hour for burgers. The waitress did the best she could so my guess is the kitchen help was either understaffed or incompetent. I hoping this was a freak thing and I will give them another chance since the 1st time was so good. read more
