I used the bug wash and scrubbed the front of the car before I went to the wash. The wash did nothing to clean the car. So I am having to go find a self wash place and wash the car again. If I pay $20 for a carwash it needs to clean the car. Lesson learned it is always best to do it your self. UPDATE FROM A RESPONSE FROM ON GOOGLE FROM BUSINESS: The response from the business was ridiculous. It was pretty much blaming me for not cleaning my car correctly. They stated that they reviewed the cameras and that I had not washed my car since July 2023. That was because I was using Rich's on Airport. ( I will never use anyone but Rich's after this) Also I was told that I should visit the bug wash station before washing the car if they would have clearly reviewed their cameras they would have seen that I did that and I also stated that I had visited the bug wash station in my review. Just as other reviews were not happy with the car wash. I have learned my lesson and this will be the last time that I visit this location.

DO NOT USE THIS CAR WASH!!!!!!!!!!!! POOR BUSINESS ETHICS!!!!!!!!!!!…read more Do not go to this car wash at 1862 Government St., Mobile, AL 36606 at approximately 1:45pm; Friday July 8, 2022. I went to get my car washed. After getting my car washed I went to vacuum it out and raw sewage from this machine covered my upper body, got in my hair and ruined my white blouse. I actually thought it was raining; once I saw this black stuff spilling all over me and inside my car door and front seat. I had to jump back in my car and shut my door. I drove back around to the attendants there and told them what happened. They could careless but did take my name and number and gave me (get this) a napkin to try to whip the debris off my face. My white blouse was totally ruined with black nasty smelling spots all over my blouse. I was on my lunch break and had to head back to work for a meeting. Needless to say there was no way I could go back to my office looking like this. I had to stop at a boutique downtown and purchase a shirt for $50. The manager Craig Martin, Site Manager at Ultra Car Wash called me at work. During our conversation he indicated that I would be reimbursed. I sent him the receipt for the blouse that I had just purchased. The actual blouse I had on was $75 that I purchased a year ago from Dillard's in Miami Florida; however, I do not have the receipt as it has been well over a year since I purchased the said garment. I told him I would like very much to be reimbursed for the blouse as well and to please mail a ck to me. I also told him to please cancel my membership with Ultra Car Wash. This is from the Mgr: Again.. I apologize for that happening to you at our car wash. Yes you will be fully refunded for the damage to your dress. I do not expect you to have a receipt from a year ago. My CSA Donnise terminated your membership when you asked her to do so. I will however go back into the system and confirm this for you. I will get back to you as soon as I can when I have the conversation with my superior regarding the check. As soon as I have more information I will let you know. Thanks for your understanding as well. Craig Martin Site Manager Ultra Car wash TO DATE I HAVE NOT BEEN REIMBURSED. THE MANAGER HAS STOPPED ANSWERING MY EMAILS. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS CAR WASH. YOU WOULD THINK IN GOOD FAITH THEY WOULD REIMBURSE ME FOR MY BLOUSE. THIS COMPANY HAS VERY POOR BUSINESS ETHICS! MRS. C.D. CRAIG

It's annoying when emails are never (and I mean NEVER) answered when trying to set up appointments. It's frustrating when you have to go through a dealer (Koby Subaru in this case, and they'll be dealt with in a separate review. Stay tuned.) to schedule and oversee detailing and to monitor the final product. (God bless Angie and Scott and Natalie at Koby Subaru for never letting Ricky's Pleasure Island Misfits get away with lazy half-cheeked vehicle details.) The last straw bale that broke this ersatz St. Sebastian's back was a vehicle that was returned with multiple knife-cuts to the side of a leather seat and a 5" scrape on the top surface of the driver's seat that removed the top layer and color. And oh, yeah, they decided to break off the electric mirror adjustment control as a thoughtful bit of lagniappe. A horde of people at Koby verified the new damage (easy peasy since the mechanics and service writers knew none of the damage was there when they were working on the vehicle BEFORE it was sent to Ricky's House of Carnauba Horror) and one sharp-eyed individual noticed the vertical slices in the new clearcoat. (The clearcoat was new because of damage to the car door during a previous Koby service appointment. But that's a story for another time.) Interestingly, Ricky used his transcontinental psychic abilities to prove that he knew the damage wasn't done by his employees. One hopes he learns to channel this invaluable trait into predicting natural and manmade disasters so that he can be of true value to mankind. They are amazing!" They have several levels of service, but it's all listed at their website. I told the guy how highly recommended his company came and I jokingly told him he now had to live up to his name. He laughed and promised they would. They did! To be honest, I didn't even get a carpet shampoo, but it looked better than when the detailer did it in Atlanta and that was WITH a shampoo. I got the "Complete Detail" which I'll admit is pricey. I paid half of that in Atlanta, but again, the one in Atlanta wasn't nearly as good as this. I'm not rich and I have a really old car (it's a '97 Geo with over 150k miles), but I do like to get my car detailed at least once a year just to keep it looking decent. All I can say is that you are definitely getting what you paid for. I don't like to part with money at all (see my review for the dollar theater in Atlanta) and am a serious bargain hunter. Still, this was worth it! I'll definitely go back and tell everyone I'm very pleased. :)

However I joined a club membership and decided I would try that route. A young lady sold me a membership and was quite pleasant . She did state that she wasn't sure if going through one time clean my car or not and that if it did not, I was welcome to try to second time after I use the free wash bins that was located at the base of the driveway at the car wash. I proceeded to the bins and spent about 10 minutes scrubbing the areas that the car wash did not clean. Once I was done I got back into line to have my car re-washed. This is where the trouble started. A young man who identified himself as the assistant manager of the Bay Minette location very rudely stated to me before I could have a chance to finish explaining to him why I was coming through a second time that we were only allowed one wash a day according to club rules. I tried to explain to him in a very gentle voice that I was going through a second time because the first time did not wash the car completely and the young lady stated that I could do it a second time. However he was having nothing of it and was very firm and Hateful to me with his tone. I literally had to talk over the young man to tell him that the other young lady told me to come back through a second time. I do not appreciate being dealt with in this manner. Number one the young man needs to learn that when an older adult is talking he should at least let them finish what they have to say whether he agrees with it or not and at least give them the benefit of being able to explain their selves to him. Furthermore that does not say very much for his manners I'm a 55 year-old man and he had to be at least 20. If this is going to be what I can expect every time I come back to riches I will be canceling my membership. I did complain to the lady who identified herself as the full manager at the site. I'm pretty sure by her passive tone that she just more or less blew me off stating repeatedly I'll take care of it I'll take care of it I'll take care of it. Please inform me as to how I can cancel my membership as I've already stated I simply wanted a car wash not an argument. Thanks and I'll be expecting to hear from you soon.

The previous owner had smoked in it and we wanted it steamed cleaned, washed, waxed & detailed. Price quoted $160. I picked up the van on Friday, 3/11. Michael was still working on it when we arrived, hence it was in a garage stall where the lighting wasn't the best. He told us that the carpet was still wet and we would need to keep it in a garage that night with the windows cracked so it would finish drying. Only about 12 inches were cleaned at the back of the van. The reason I know that is that nothing was moved underneath the couch and there was a box under the coach next to where the "VERY" wet carpet was. When I mentioned it wasn't good to have that box on the carpet that was wet, he said it was OK. If the carpet had been done that box would have been soaked and you would have seen it had been wet. It was a box of brand new brake pads.) We followed his instructions and the next morning, Saturday, I went out to look the van over and to start moving our things in. While the step wells were "Armor-Alled" and the leather seats were wiped down with some "leather conditioner", I found MANY things that were NOT done. I showed up at his shop on Monday morning. He pulled in and I was right behind him. I told Michael that we had a problem. I started to show him all the things that I found. He kept accusing me of wanting "New", I told him "No, I just wanted it clean - that's what I paid for!" After wiping off the top of the inside of a door and seeing the dirt, he told me to bring it back the next day (Tuesday) and he would take care of it. I showed up the next morning. He had not arrived yet, so my husband & I waited. He showed up and we left the van. I picked it back up at 4:30, he was not there and took it home. Again, I started to move our things into the van and went over it and his "fixes" were very shoddy. See the pictures below. I tried to load a video of wiping down the dash next to the windshield but the file is too large. Just that one video would have said it all. At any rate, I will never go back to FDG/Michael. He did an absolute HORRIBLE job and is not a man of his word. Also, if you notice the two 5 star reviews were done in 2016 & 2017. The 1 star review was in 2018 and mine in 2019.
