We had a fun time here. The server was eager to help and was accommodating of the gluten free needs of one of our party. We had apps and drinks; the nachos with chicken was a good sized portion and the tots and nuggets were a great combo. Guinness on tap is always a plus. Stopped in here with my brother and his three kids. The younger kids love the game room. Keeps them occupied until the food comes. I had a chicken Caesar salad. Family went to eat and watch Eagles game. Got there an hour before the game and it was not very crowded. Would go often. Gave simple food order, wings and sandwiches. Server said it might take a little longer to get food. We asked why as it was not crowded. She said that their take out orders were backed up. Apparently , though they knew it was a Friday night and an Eagles game, they were drastically understaffed. So a little longer might be an extra 10-15 min; that was acceptable . But, surely customers seated there should be given a priority; apparently not. Remember we has a simple small typical order. Server re- appeared after 35 minutes to say it would be longer, she didn't know how long. After waiting for more than a hour, with no food nor the server in sight, we left. It was 8:30 Pm. We went to McDonalds. Absolutely no excuse for this treatment . If you can't provide service and fill orders, do not seat new diners and stop the take out orders so the existing orders can be filled. I thought the pub was pretty cool- had an arcade, pool table and a playground for the kids. My friends and I went here for drinks. We first ordered our drinks and they came quickly enough. However, the problem was when we were trying to order mini burgers afterwards. None of the servers would look us in the eye, and when our server eventually saw us signalling them, our server actually waved back at us and went back to talking to his co-workers. Eventually, we had to stop a busboy who told our server that we wanted to order something else. After that, the server seemed to have learned his lesson and continuously came by to ask if we needed anything else. Unfortunately, the waiting did not end there because the mini burgers took forever to make as well. Decent pub, a mainstay of the area.. Growing up in Richboro, the Pub was one of the staple, go-to restaurants in the area. Now they have expanded a bit and changed their name to Big Heads, but nevertheless, it is basically the same as years ago. FOOD Pretty basic American food menu, but it is all pretty good. I'm a big fan of the cheesesteak here. The meat is chopped, and the bread is very soft, so it's basically the anti-Steve's steaks. I've had other things too like the wings and soup. It's all pretty good food for a pub, but nothing over the top amazing. The portion size is also decent, not too small or too big, just the right amount. SERVICE The service here is so-so. Usually you seat yourself when you walk in, and it sometimes take a little bit for the waitress to take the order and such. I will say that one time I spilled some sauce on my pants, and without even asking the waitress brought over club soda to help me wash out the stains. I was pretty impressed and made a good impression in my mind. ATMOSPHERE This place has really changed in the past few years. I see they've tried to make the place much for family friendly, making the entire back of the restaurant into a play area with video games, and rooms for birthday parties. PRICE This place isn't going to bust your wallet, the prices are pretty fair. For a cheesesteak and 6 wings, my bill came out to around $15 including tip. The soup here is a tiny bit on the expensive side, but beyond that everything is around the price point it should be. As someone who grew up in Richboro, this was a good place to eat for any situation. It's nothing special, however the food is always good and the price is fair for what you get. This sports bar in Richboro, PA, is a fun place to watch Eagles football. It is a large space with a long U-shaped bar, surrounded by HDTVs high on the walls. The bartenders are so busy they don't have a moment to follow the action, but they are friendly and don't lose their cool. Prices are reasonable for a bar that makes it bones primarily around sporting events. Most bar food (burgers, quesadillas, soups, salads, sandwiches) can be had for $10 or less. Beer selection is not focused on crafties, but there are a few in the house, while most of the usual suspects are on tap. My pint of Miller Lite was $3 and change. The house erupted each time the Eagles made a play, and went berserk when they pulled out the win of the Rams. There was a collective groan when Carson Wentz was injured. Of course, there were a couple of people in too deep with drink, who were obnoxious, but they were led outside by the firm arm of house security. My chicken quesadilla was pretty good. Loaded with chicken and cheese, it was a solid app to get me through the game. It was exactly what I expected from the neighborhood sports bar. I was particularly pleased that the lovely barkeeps made no attempt to refill my beer glass after I let them know I only wanted one. I stopped in for a drink one afternoon because I had arrived in Richboro about an hour early for a friend's wedding. I grew up in Richboro, but don't think I've been to the Pub since a high school friends meet up over Thanksgiving break circa 2003. The Pub has changed -- it has grown and they've added an arcade as well as some local craft beers to their offering. We didn't have any food while we were there, so I can't comment on that, but the beer tasted like it came off a clean tap and the bartender was pleasant and attentive. Crappy place. Not sure why people still go here when there's places like Steam not that far away. If this was the only bar in the area, I would give it a better review, but there's so many better options out there that it's hard to recommend this place. Their menu is very lackluster and the food overall is mediocre at best. The atmosphere feels old and this place definitely needs an upgrade. Nice local family friendly-ish pub. At night some regulars get loud and curse but staff does its best to keep them in control. Owners have stepped up to help kids out - when storms essentially canceled Halloween they had specials and a Halloween night there. Food is typical. Beer selection has improved. I have officially had the worst experience at any restaurant/bar establishment in my life. For starters, we have arrive happily at 7:06 PM on a Saturday night and the place does not appear overly busy. The sign says please wait to be seated and we stand there for five minutes until we notice we have to take two steps forward of the sign to see someone sitting there behind the sign just to tell us that there will be a 10 to 15 minute wait. No big deal. 15 minutes goes by, 20 minutes close by and The hostess sets someone else down. After another 15 minutes of standing there my wife goes to use the restroom and noticed that there are several empty tables available, I'm talking at least 24 seats. As the entryway continues to pile up with people I ask the hostess about these empty seats she says give me a moment and she sees a party of three. Returns five minutes later and tells me that the kitchen does not want her to see anymore guests because they are already behind on the food orders. So, rather than let us be comfortable in some seeds and possibly enjoying a beverage or two while we wait for the kitchen to get caught up we are told to wait in the " wait to be seated" Area at the front of the restaurant, which of course has no seating so we have to stand. She said she would talk to the manager about letting us sit at a table rather than stand in the entryway as there were at least a dozen people standing there now. Finally after almost an hour of standing there, she brings us to one of the empty tables that my wife had pointed out. The waiter comes over and we order drinks that come about 10 minutes later. And then he shows up another 10+ minutes later to take our food order. So after we are done the first order of drinks we politely ask how much longer do we think the food is going to be but all of them and the waiter replies that the kitchen is shortstaffed and they did not even start our order yet and it would probably be another 30 minutes. At this point we have been to the restaurant about an hour and 45 minutes and they did not even start our order yet. And they tell us honestly to our face. The night started out happy and now we just have headaches rather than something to eat. The waiter asked should I cancel the food order and at that point I said yes cancel it because I can't sit there for another 30 minutes and then maybe not even get the food by that point. This used to be a good place I just don't know what happened to it. It seems like the management just does not care anymore. read more

Ordered wings for takeout and sat for 45 MINUTES after I had called 20 min PRIOR to that. People were coming and going picking up their orders and I'm left sitting there as a woman asks me if I'm waiting for something???? So little do you know my order had been sitting right in front of them for the 45 minutes I was sitting there and she tells me they just came out they're still hot after I told her they would be cold as I've seen that bag sit there for that long. Absolutely horrible service. If someone see their food sitting there that long and you tell them it's not cold - have some customer service and offer to get them either warmed up or cook new food for you. Ridiculous. read more

Smoking is still legal out here, a few miles outside of the city limits, and people still take advantage. It only takes about 10 minutes in The Pub to start smelling like an ashtray, but at least the dining area in the back is smoke free. My friends and I go here sometimes as much as three times a week, and we always order the "kids burgers." These three "mini" burgers -- I think they cost like $3 -- are enough to feed any hungry adult. They're probably those ready made patties that come frozen from some supplier, but mmm, they still make a great after-work dinner.
