Chicken Salad Sandwich with lobster bisque soup
    Heather B.

They are perfectly located in town on Main Street. I did a quick Yelp search for a place to grab lunch since I am not from the area. I did not search long the reviews were enough to get me inside. I waited about 10 minutes for a table. I was seated in just about the time frame. The chicken salad sandwich on rye hit the spot! I could have gotten it on white or wheat as well, but I let the waitress pick. She made a good choice going with rye. The rye bread was very tasty! The deluxe salad was nice and crisp, homemade croutons and a FANTASTIC ranch dressing. I also had a side of onion rings. They were a little sweet for my taste but otherwise they were delicious. The lobster bisque soup was just what I needed on a cold, rainy day in December. I washed it all down with a coke. Pricing was very reasonable. They also had a large selection of ice cream. The brands were Hershey and Blue Bell. I highly recommend hitting them up. I will definitely go back the more I visit.

Great crab cake sandwich and potato salad.

Came here with some friends for lunch in January and I was shocked that it was so packed until I realized it was a holiday. Fortunately, they went thru customers fast and we didn't wait long. The place had a great old time diner feel and the waiters was awesome. So the experience was great. I had the Crab Cake sandwich that I loved. Importantly, the potato salad was almost as good! Overall, this is a place that I will return to again and again in the future as it hits all the requirements.

Really wish we had a meal but only had the opportunity to have ice cream-which was amazing! One of the waitresses was rude.

Our food came in about 15 minutes. We didn't have the best service-the server was friendly, but it took forever for us to get her to come take our order and we had to ask someone else for refills. We asked for several things during our visit and always had to wait at least five minutes. It took 10 minutes for us to get our bill after we asked. She checked up on us one time. You have to pay at the counter on your way out, and that did take quite a while because of people getting coffees and desserts. It would be better if the waitress could take payments. I will definitely come back for the food. Hopefully the service will be better. Don't miss out on this gem!

I had a chocolate covered strawberry latte when I was there one day. It really hit the spot for my drive home. I enjoyed their fresh tomato soup, and sandwich with pasta salad. I brought cupcakes home to enjoy with the family. They are a pretty good size. Overall, this is a hot spot in Gloucester. I highly suggest checking them out.

Then, we took the scenic way back on the eastern shore of VA and stayed at Cape Charles Motel just outside Cape Charles, VA on US 13. The next morning we checked out of the motel. I was annoyed the night before as I had thought there was some sort of breakfast included when I was asking about the times of the breakfast, and he said they didn't have there. So, we ventured into town for Cape Charles Coffee House. It's a cute, historic place with an upstairs area with additional seating. The brunch & coffee was solid & nice staff, but I do remember it took awhile to get the food. Perhaps, they were on Cape Charles time as opposed to DC-Baltimore area time I'm used to...haha. I had a grilled cheese & cup of soup. It was delicious. Cape Charles Coffee House & the town itself was nice; I'd come back to the coffee house if I was back.

So much to love about this new discovery besides the fact that it's NOT a Starbucks lol and for those that know me, you know I love and love to support and discover tucked away indie coffee places (see my reviews!). This place is also a roastery and sells their own bean blends. I don't know the history behind the shop and name but was told it is chemistry themed and owned by W&M alum - yassssss! Service is SUPER friendly and excellent so that's a bonus! I lovvvvvvve that the latte menu is chock full of super creative seasonal flavors - so many to choose from!! I stopped by twice while in town and staying just down the street. Had a hot Rose Macaron latte and the next day had the Lemon Bar. Both were DELICIOUS. NOT OVERLY SWEET BUT WITH SUBTLE FLAVORS AND BOLD ESPRESSO TASTE. NOTTTTTT WIMPY WEAK. Both days I had the OG Bacon Egg Cheese sando on an ET bagel that was a decent accompaniment to my seasonal lattes which were clearly the stars of the show. I was there during the week - once mid afternoon, the other day late morning and it was not crowded at all both days. The seating area is HUGE. 2 separate adjacent rooms - walk through the front ordering area and you'll find a large, super cozy and inviting "living room" type space with comfy couches, armchairs, dining tables with chairs and even cubes for studying. Dark and moody vibes. SUPER COZY, RELAXING AND KEPT VERY CLEAN AND TIDY. The other seating area has a bunch of tables and chairs, lots of windows, brighter and more conducive for gathering. I took and posted a bunch of pics and some vids so check them out. So glad to have discovered this coffee spot and gem! Will definitely be back when I visit Williamsburg again! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

I've now been to several coffee shops in the Williamsburg area and I'd say this one is my favorite so far. Next time I'll stay and enjoy their inside tables or patio area. Both looked nice.
