Stopped by today to try something new. Unfortunately left disappointed. My husband got a salad which he enjoyed. My daughter got a burger that was just fine. My weakness is fish tacos and when I see them on the menu I have to try them!!! First of all, the description said it had a creamy chipotle sauce. My tacos had a schmear of mayo instead. But worst of all was the fish! It was sprinkled on top of the lettuce and salsa like a condiment! Very hard to eat. Unseasoned. Not grilled. Not blackened. Just flakes of cod. Last night was not a usual night for us. We had 4 in the group and, because of work schedules, we were running far later than usual. We had no dinner plans and quickly realized our options vs time were very limited. We came in to The Table without reservations and not really dressed for the atmosphere. I spoke to the hostess who informed me that the only possible table was on the patio and only had seating for 3. After a few kind words, she quickly dashed off to see if she could make up the table to fit the four of us. Success! We were seated at a corner table, where we had a wonderful dinner where portions were huge, hot, and served well timed together. I will add that the "Dark and Stormy" cocktails were very good as well. This restaurant is tastefully done, with all hands on deck to make things happen. I am going to chock this up to maybe we both ordered the wrong things. I ordered shrimp tacos which were nothing to write home about. They came out wrong at first so I had to send them back. My father ordered the BLT, it was very sparse for bacon and very very overcooked. It was like what you would use for bacon bits on a salad. Overall for the cost it left me wanting more but at 15 bucks for each with no side items because everything is ala cart. It would have been 6 bucks for a side of fries. Bear in mind, high end restaurants charge 8 bucks for sides. This is not a high end restaurant. Sheesh the place two doors down has the same tacos with fries for 16. I have ate at expensive places and cheap places, this one missed the mark for us. It wasn't worth the price but again maybe we ordered the wrong things. If I could give it no stars I would. This was the worst experience I've experienced eating at a restaurant. We were literally turned away by the hostess after she asked, who I assume was the manager, if they could accommodate our party of 6. Even when we asked to split the party up, they still said no. Not to mention, we called prior to arriving asking what time they closed and if we needed a reservation and they said no. Needless to say, we sat in the parking lot and watched them seat multiple parties after us and all they could say when we called back was they had reservations. To be in the business of hospitality and wanting people, no matter the color of their skin, or whoever they are to try your food and tell others about it, I assume is the practice of owning a restaurant. As a business owner myself, it's disheartening when business owners cater to one group of people and not the masses. I had a lovely brunch at The Table last weekend. Our party of 4 was able to be seated pretty quickly as this place gets popular from what I understand. I ordered the curried chicken salad, which love but rarely make at home as DH doesn't enjoy it as much as I do. Theirs is served on a croissant, which was nice. DH had the barbecue sandwich, which he enjoyed. We split an order of well made fries. The only thing that kind of bummed me out is that the sandwich is not served with any sides. You have to order fries, etc as a separately priced side. Their sign says 'homemade ice cream' but all I saw was soft serve from a machine. read more

Had a reservation for Saturday at 6:15 We were seated and forgotten. Had to corral a waitress in order for us to put in our order. She told us our table wasn't in her section but she'd take our order anyway. Don't know who was responsible, but she did the absolute minimum required. Very good blood orange margarita. Bread basket was also good. We split an order of paella, which we enjoyed even though we had to use our bread plates, since the dinner plates never came. And she never checked on us. Next to the restaurant, The Table has a very nice cafe serving good coffee and excellent baked goods, and selling gifts and pasta. It's brightly lit, clean, welcoming and well laid out with space for working or socializing. Mornings after 9 am Thurs-Sat, even if it looks dark inside, it's open - that's just the window tint. I can't explain to you how the olives that we had on the charcuterie board were the best that I've ever had, but all four guests at my table agreed that they were the best that we've ever had. The fried oysters were incredible and the aioli that came with them was PERFECT. The charcuterie board was divine. The fish tacos were out of this world. Let me start out by saying that the food itself was delicious. I have no issues with that part whatsoever, hence the 3 stars. The service was also halfway decent but definitely could have been better. The reason for my review was the wait. I understand that it was a little busier due to it being Father's Day, however our table had a reservation for 6:30 and we did not receive our food until 7:55pm!!! Our waitress while doing her best, seemed to avoid our table due to the fact that she knew we were probably going to complain. By the end of the night we felt rushed as the restaurant closes at 8pm but it was through no fault of our own that we were there past closing, as again, it took an hour and a half to get our food. We weren't offered any kind of apology other than 'yeah it's been busy tonight and a long day for all of us'. It took so long to get our food that the cocktail I had made me dizzy and nauseous. I just have to start by saying - what a surprise!! My family and I were visiting in this small town and who knew. This place is a gem! A diamond in the ruff. I have to say when I looked at the menu and saw the food, and the prices I was a bit hesitant. When we got our food... it was great.. excellent I must say. I can't say a bad thing about anything. We came into Deltaville to camp earlier in the day. By dinner time, we were ready to let someone take care of us, so we headed to The Table. It was small and quiet, with indoor and outdoor seating. Our service was lovely and the food was delicious. I'm a recent bariatric surgery patient, so I was very picky and they were very willing to accommodate. My husband said the fries were delicious and fresh and the fried flounder was flaky and scrumptious. My fish was very soft and tasty and the side of green beans were so yummy! What a great dining experience in the tiny town of Deltaville! Fabulous service, pleasant atmosphere, and excellent food. This small town has been sorely needing a good dining venue, this is it! Husband had the fried clams and I had the pimento cheese sandwich. I don't care for clams, but he said they were fabulous, so I tried one, and they were! The pimento cheese sandwich was huge, but the half I ate was quite delicious. Not the pimento cheese I remember from my South Carolina days, but delicious in it's own Eastern VA sort of way. The wait was long so we decided to make the smart decision and go across the street to The Table at Wilton. We got there with no reservation and the place was full with the exception of a table on the sidewalk. No problem I was hungry. Also had never been here as I recently moved my sailboat to Deltaville. The menu is awesome and the food was delicious. I see that they also do take out and that would be a good option if you show up late with no reservation. Got a take out order for 4. I got the fried chicken sandwich. the chicken and dressing were excellent. the bun was not. the bun was grocery store bun and had some mold spots on the bottom half. It would be a top quality meal, if they put it on a home made, or better quality bun. Also ordered the farro salad . very good and fresh, just a bit small for a main. service is good, only 1 problem, they didnt put our soup in the take out bag.So I got home without it it. called and asked them to credit us for it, and they did.
