Richard was pleasant and easy to work with. He assured me all my needs would be met and he did not disappoint. He leads a great team- prompt and professional. My quote was not only fair but it was honored; no unexpected add ons at the end. His team took their time to wrap up and pack up my items. As you can imagine moving is already a head ache and this definitely alleviated my stress to have someone else treat my items with care. In addition he was able to also assist with me with a junk removal which I was thrilled about because that was another headache that he helped alleviate. Decent enough service, nice guys that work for Richard. My gripe was being charged $900 for 1 month 'rental' of 30 blankets to cover my stuff whilst it was in storage at Westy's - for a month waiting for the property I was moving to, to become available.... Yes rental.... This added nearly 50% to the cost of the move. I didnt know at the time but realise this is not normal. Obviously I paid for the move to Westy's and then again for the move to the property - not an issue here, its mostly labor after all But the charge on the blankets was quite a stunner in hindsight For this reason I would never use his services again and cannot give more than a 2 star review. read more

They were very nice when they gave me an estimate. The assured me my move would be done well and my furnishings would be protected. It was not good. They showed up late. Instead of 9 am it was about 11am. They said they were on their way in the early morning and caught in traffic. I checked the traffic and there was none, then they told me they had to switch trucks, and they would be late, and they would charge only an hour for travel time. It was hot, and although they started with masks, that soon ended. The workers were personable, and they did do some wrapping of furnishings, but there was a fair bit of damage done. One obvious thing was the refrigerator, they dented and scratched the door and broke the glass shelf. They did tell me they broke the shelf. If that was all the damage I would have been fine. My master bedroom dresser was damaged. My shelving units were damaged. My subwoofer was not protected at all and damaged. One of the leaves to the dining room table was gouged and scratched. In their defense, there were some difficult to move items that were skillfully moved without incident. I'm thankful for that. Mover's are notorious for overcharging and this was no exception. It was 10pm when they were finished, the rate was between 180 per hour for 3 men and 220 for 4 as they started with 3 and then added a guy. With travel time it was a generous 11 hours. I was charged $3200. ( He first said $3,000 on the phone then said $3200). Original estimate was $2,400 and was before I moved about 100 boxes and almost all electronics. The workers had a hard time as it was hot and we did tip them. I talked about the charges for a moment or two but I was beat from moving a lot of stuff to the curb myself and I needed to be done. They mentioned materials but really it was tape and blankets, the electronics and TVs (except for my sub) was pre-moved by me to avoid trouble. I wanted it to end so I paid. After another mover I hired to pickup a sectional couch i bought in an estate auction had ghosted me (turned off his phone and wasn't answering my texts day of), I was panicking and in a lurch as the couch had a deadline of 2pm or I would lose the money I spent which was not cheap. I called Richard's Moving Solutions and Betty answered, friendly and incredibly helpful. She was able to secure a truck and mover for me pretty instantly, and within 90 minutes of the deadline! The gentleman showed up soon after that and made the whole process stress free and efficient. I am happy I stumbled upon them in my panic because I would highly recommend and use them again myself! Awful. They were so good years ago. We used them again and I cringe to say this but they ruined multiple valuable pieces of ours. They rushed and wrecked. Unfortunately these were pieces we inherited so all antique and more meaningful. Just be very careful. They overcharged us in our opinion (quoted us and then it went up at least 3x by the bill time) and then to find out days later (b/c they carefully temporarily taped up so we didnt notice right away) we realized what a disaster. I would have recommended them a few years ago but I cannot possibly today. I would post photos but they wrecked at least 13 pieces of furniture that we aware of at this point anyway. and they moved us within the same town. read more

I can't say how pleased I am with the services I received. I have used several moving companies in the past, but I believe this is the best I have used so far. Not only are they the best in terms of services provided, but the fee charged was very reasonable and not overpriced like other movers. They were also very punctual and kept to their word. I had contacted Richard less than two days before my move date and he was very accommodating. Before quoting a fee, he came over to my place and viewed the items that I needed to have moved. He then quoted what I considered to be a very fair fee for his services. He also offered excellent advice in helping me determine the best storage company to meet my moving needs. On the day of the move, the entire team arrived impressively early, were extremely friendly and helpful and made my move stress free. I would definitely use their services again and I recommend them to anyone looking for good quality moving services at an affordable rate. read more
