If you're looking for your typical western family doctor who thinks he knows more than you, makes a prognosis on his first hunch (and stubbornly sticks to it), go to this guy! His attitude is ok, sometimes polite, sometimes condescending, actually more condescending than not. I ask a lot of questions to get a feel for if the doctor knows what he's talking about or is just trying to BS me to get me out of his way, well I feel like Dr. Baick often does that. I usually only go to him when I need a simple prescription and I just need a doctor's note (e.g., antibiotics, travel medicine, etc.). He's just very generic and not oustanding in anyway. I didn't feel like he took the time to diagnosis any of my real problems. I felt like he treated me just like a patient in a line to speed things up. I don't plan on going to him again. read more

I have been going to Dr Baick for over 12 years now and I recommend him to everyone who is looking for a doctor. About 7 years ago when I went to see him he asked who was my regular doctor, I told him "If any other doctor asked me that question I would tell them that it was you!" His response after looking at my charts was that he had not seen me for over 4 years (in my defense I hadn't been sick) and if he was to be my doctor he would expect to see me at least annually. With that I have seen him more than annually ever sense and he has worked with me to get my health better than it has been my entire adult life. He is a doctor that takes more time with you than he should. He spends this time making sure you understand how you are doing in non medical jargon and to learn more about who your are as well as the how you are. He knows about my activities, my children, their health, he even talks with me about my rescue dog and his experience with training them (dogs). He gets to know his patients at a personal level and I believe it makes him a better doctor because he can tell when you are healthy and when you are not. I have had him notice when I took one of my children to the walk in (a few doors down from his office) and pull them in to take care of them because they are his patients. His office staff is friendly and professional. They have started using an online system, PatientFusion, which allows me to see my labs, past appointments, prognosis, and more. I like that I can access this information on line. I know that he is part of the Anthem Blue Cross Prudent Buyer Network and I have never been balanced billed for the write off amounts (of course you have to pay for Copay's and Deductibles) as I have been by other doctors. On a side note, I do expect my doctor to know more than me when it comes to disease states, it is what I pay them for. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Baick for about 9 years now and have only had a good experience. He really takes the time to get to know his patients and what issues they are dealing with. I had a chronic problem that until I saw Dr. Baick was never under control, it has been now for about 5 years and without the interest he showed, I would probably still not be walking right. Sometimes there is a wait, but not every case is a 20 minute visit, I know in my case it's run well over that, but I have never felt pressured or rushed. read more

I don't go to the Doctor very often so I used to change a lot. I have been with Dr Baick at least 5 years. He takes his time, he rembers me, my family, my dogs. If you are used to the 2 minutes of Dr face time while the nurse comes back in to explain your Rx he is a welcome change. If you are looking for a great Dr who really cares about you, see Dr Baick. I never had the pleasure of meeting the Dr. After waiting in the waiting room for 25 minutes (!), during which the front desk lady didn't even feel the need to apologize or be nice about it ("I can't control what the Dr. does. When there's a room available we would let you in"), I asked for money back and left. What a waste of my time. No hello from the staff when I got there, and no apologies when I asked for my money back. Ugh. read more

Dr. Baick was my doctor and he was great all around. He explained things to me very concisely and was always funny. None of my visits were for serious problems so the other poster's qualms were justified. So, I guess if you're just looking for a doctor, he's good. You know what, now that I think about it, I did want him to look into something concerning my low arches, but he kinda dismissed it, but you know what, he was right about it. Great family doctor for us. Always around to take a call or email. He has called after hours to make sure he gets you called back that day. Nurses and staff are always friendly and want to make sure you get what you need. If dr is busy they will make sure they get you an answer from him or another doctor on staff. Highly recommended. We still drive in an hour away to see him and get great referrals to other doctors if needed. read more

I've gone to Dr Baick for a few years. He's a nice guy and a mediocre physician. He treats you for what he want to treat you. I had a serious case of jock itch (yeah, I know) that he just joked about, never took seriously. Now, I have a permanent scarring on my thighs, buttocks, etc. I found another Dr to handle it. That's just an exaample. A persistant cough (several weeks) got a nasal spray for treatment. Then, when it didn't improve over the next 12 weeks, he perscribes the same nasal spray. Dr. Baick actually listened to me when other Dr's wouldn't. Every doctor I had been to previously said I had anxiety to which they put me on pills or one nurse even called me stupid for not taking my anxiety medication (which I knew didin't work) Short story long I finally found Dr. Baick, he asked a few questions that the other doctors didn't ask and had me do a month long event monitor and within a week found out that I had a heart problem which I can manage! After the few positive reviews I didn't hesitate to set-u an apt for an annual physical, unfortunately I have to be the first to leave a less than glowing review. It was easy to set-up an apt however I was unaware I'd have to return 3 times for a routine blood test. The Dr. had good bedside manner and a caring demeanor, but as a science professional, I found several of the approaches he and his offices took seemed unnecessary, and for the sake of padding the bill. I was asked to return two additional times to complete a blood test. The first time the needle was extracted too early and air was sucked into the tube, so I figured I'd come in for a retest when asked. However this test too needed a repeat. Upon arrive for this third test I was hooked to machines and finally on the way out the nurse says "Oh, we forgot to bill you for the second visit, so we will bill you for this visit and send the other in the mail". So in other words, my physical which is covered by my insurance, has after the repeat visits and repeat tests for the SAME thing, I have a 600 plus dollar bill from miscellaneous labs, test facilities and the docs office itself. So frustrating! I certainly would NOT come back to this facility and would discourage others from the same. I expected more disclosure and a sense of honesty...instead I left the final time frustrated and suspicious. Perhaps it's my fault for not asking enough questions, but I've been to great establishment before and did not feel like I had to quiz them in order to receive quality care and a sense of trust. The doc's office, obviously aware that I would not return a fourth time to their offices for any reason, came back with a final blood test result of normal.... read more

Not so great experience. Would try another doctor. He is bit commercial and calls his patients to see again and again for no reason. He saw me a week ago and called me again to see my symptoms which had no change since my last visit, which does not make any sense to see again, instead he could have just suggested to refer specialist. read more

My complete family have been visiting Dr. Baick since last three years. I found him caring in the beginning and smart. Recently I took my wife to another Dr and they told me that my wife is in the initial stage of sugar which was never told by Dr. Baick and this was never told by Dr. Baick while he conduct all the blood test every year. Now I have decided to move to another Dr. Also he will never call you back if you drop a message for him. read more
