First off, she's actually the doctor of one of my family members, but am very glad she's not mine. I usually go with a certain family member (won't say which exact one) to their appointments and the actual wait time to see the doctor is over 2 hours long! WTF? I've never had to wait THAT long to see any of MY doctors! The receptionists are very rude, never return calls, and never relay messages to the doctor. Sometimes when you get there, the office is closed, even at the time you have your appointment! She's a bit too open about her personal life than REALLY paying mind to a patient's needs and health. Would you believe this doctor actually told my family member what she thought of me and suggested that I get evaluated for Asperger's syndrome or even TBI??? Wow....just....just wow. Let me start by saying that when I actually saw her she seemed like she could be a nice person and I'm absolutely trying my best to give an objective review. That said... let's start with cons as saying there were cons is an understatement. Wait time- two and a half hours, literally the longest I've had to wait in my entire life. For which I left work to go to. Office staff- the receptionist does not pick up the phone and when she does she cannot address any single concern. She refuses to learn how to use a fax machine to send your records, she will give you the wrong information when she does and DO NOT under any circumstances leave a message because she will not relay the message to the other staff. I won't say her name but if you dare to go here you will know who I mean immediately as she cannot competently do anything. Even the doctor was making excuses for her about not wanting to get rid of her I think because she knew she couldn't get a job elsewhere and was old. How very compassionate of the doctor but they're running a family care clinic not a charity so I want a receptionist that can do her job. Even taking a copy of my idcard she waited an hour while I was in the lobby before doing. WOW. Parking is ok but the office is located in a maze. The other reviews unfortunately are true. The wait time is atrocious and she does talk about her divorce and Obama care... and a lot of personal info that you do not ask her for that no other doctor has ever done. We are not talking small talk here. I gave her two stars because she followed up with me after I called to complain but I would give this doctor negative stars if it hadn't been for that and if I could. I had to get a doctor approval for my ultrasound for a potential cancerous lump and she made a joke about me having cancer and using that to get the receptionist to be more responsive. Uh I do not want my doctor to joke about that. She also drew a picture of Fallopian tubes and the inside of a woman's womb... I had to call for nearly two weeks straight to get the authorization because every time either the receptionist forgot to relay the message or she filled out the wrong form or they wouldn't pick up the phone for hours. If I had to sum it up in one word it would be.... inconvenient or DONT for don't come here. I feel bad that she seems like she cares but my work is demanding and hours are long I do not have time to deal with this insanity. I really genuinely hope she can fix some of these issues because like I said she doesn't seem like a bad person. read more

GREAT DOCTOR!! She is worth the wait. I have seen Dr Sharp 4 times. Usually when I have been without insurance/my regular KP doctor. However, KNOWING she is a) going to LISTEN b) NOT rush me out of there forcing me to come back 3-4 days later c) She asks me multiple questions getting a real frame of WHAT is causing my issue d) She looks things up online to verify her thoughts and finding with e) She gives ME her full attention f) She does not RUSH me in and out, again forcing me to come back a few days later paying more money g) She gets it right the FIRST time. Listen... I love my OLD doctor BUT he costs me money, time, and he rushes me in and out in 15 minutes or less and SOMETIMES guess what ... we need more time. He charged me $75 sent me a bill WTH just for an extra 3 minutes of his time. WTH 3 minutes that is $25 bucks a minute. Come on!!!! OLD doctor he sends me home telling me I have a virus which I know my body and symptoms too and 99.9% of the time HE IS WRONG and I have to take off another half day AND of course I am sicker AND he gets another $40 off me) so I get irritated. Not Dr Sharp... She takes the time with me. COST: Dr Sharp (time & money) VS. verses my old Doctor (time, money, drive & irrirtation) OLD Dr. Is $40 a pop 2 visits each = $80 but add in the time lost at WORK. 2 hours each at $20 and hour times two is $40 which is $120 Total Hours 6 hours Dr Sharp = $120 No Insurance 1 visit. Total Hours 3 hours YOU do the Math. Granted YOU WILL WAIT at Dr. Sharps office. Usually it is 1-2 hours BUT... bring a book. Relax. Be still. Wait. Think of it this way. My observation... EVERY single person that walks out of that office is laughing and smiling because they felt HEARD. A Doctor who took the TIME to actually LISTEN. First time = waited 2 hours I was pissed, but then she took a WHOLE hour with me. Huh? Second time = waited 1 1/2 Hours, peeved BUT again she took 1 HOUR with ME? Huh! Third Time = waited 2 hours, I read a book played on FB, calmer, she gave me 2 hours. YES because I was the last patient and she was determined to figure my non stop watering eye issue out. AND SHE did too. Wow!!! Fourth Time = waited 2 hours. Yup!! I brought a book to read. I re-infected my eyes with old eye shadow and a sinus issue. This time it was ONLY a half hour, but she knew what to order for me right quick. We chatted to catch up. And AGAIN because this Doctor actually LISTENS she had ordered a few other things I had not expected that made sense even though I did not catch it. She did. GREAT!!! I will continue to see her for SHE is how doctors used to be before greed became the new norm. *************************************** If you want FAST service DO NOT come here. I repeat. If YOU are IN A HURRY do not visit. **************************************** However... if you want a Doctor that LISTENS asks lots of questions to get to know YOU and makes you wait 2 hours for her FULL attention knowing you might get an hour, or a half hour, perhaps even 2 hours with her ( which I took up her dinner time with her son that 3rd visit and I appreciate her dedication) then come RELAX and WAIT to be seen by one of the GREATEST doctors in OC. If I could give this Dr's office a negative 0 star review I WOULD, but yelp does not have that option. First off anytime you try to call to confirm an appointment or even ask a question there is never an answer, they will not return calls until about 2 days later. That being said I had originally had an appt on 4/17/19 @ 5:30PM, I was running about 10 min late this day so I called to let them know, but again NO ANSWER. I showed up 10 min after my scheduled appt time and the office was already closed!!! Most Dr offices will give patients a 15 min grace period after appt time, but this is not the case here. I had to reschedule my appt for 5/31/19 at 3:30, I called earlier in the day about 4-5 times to confirm my appt but again NO ANSWER. I showed up to my appt @315, 15 min early & when I arrived the door was locked & it appeared the office was closed; I called while outside the office door and NO ANSWER. I knocked twice after waiting about 10 min the receptionist finally came out and asked how she could help. I let her know that I had an appt scheduled for today at 3:30 & she said office was already closed & all scheduled appts had been "cancelled last week". She said she had personally called to let me know which is not at all true. I let her know that I had received NO notice whatsoever of my appt cancelation & that I had even called to confirm earlier in the day but no one had bothered to return my calls. After relaying all this & letting her know I had left work early to make this appt, she couldn't care less or be helpful in the slightest. Receptionist with long black hair was extremely rude & shut the door in my face after I let her know I would never be returning to such a incompetent and unprofessional business again. DO NOT COME HERE!!! AWFUL EXPERIENCE EVERY TIME !!!! & PEOPLE THAT WORK HERE DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING AND ARE EXTREMELY RUDE &UNPROFESSIONAL. read more

Do yourself a favor, don't come here. If you value your time and health, look elsewhere. I had Dr. Sharp as a doctor for about two years. I saw her six times, each time, I waited no less than an hour and a half past my scheduled appointment time, the most I waited was close to THREE HOURS. The receptionist will only speak to you to take your copay, but don't you dare ask why you got a referral or how much longer your might be in the waiting room. My favorite condescending response she gave me was "why, are the back to work police going to come get you?" Cute. When I was finally able to see Dr. Sharp face to face, I'd hear all about her alcoholic soon to be ex husband and then she would send me to unnecessary specialists. Stay away! read more

I hardly writes review on yelp and double thinks to write Bad one. But My visit to Dr. Susan's office and afterwards experience has forced me to write here. It was an HORRIBLE experience to visit Doctor's clinic and to get on phone for test reports and further appointments. With appointment, Me and my wife had to wait for ~3 hours with our little kid of 1 year. Every other patient in waiting room was so FRUSTRATED and no one was told by Dr and staff on the wait time. 1 week after we visited the Dr, I tried to reach the clinic on phone number and whoever picks the phone says Sorry and put on hold for 30 -40 mins. I had to request my test results from test lab and Now going to new Doctor. Such an unprofessional staff. My suggestion Don't see this Doctor clinic. read more

So I tried to give this office the benefit of the doubt, but I am utterly at the end of my rope. If I could give negative stars, I would. I went in for an appointment for a fairly urgent matter as a new patient. My appointment time was 3:30pm. I arrived early to fill out paperwork and give them my insurance info and everything and then sat in the waiting room for an hour and a half waiting to be brought back into the exam room. While sitting in the waiting room, I listened to the receptionist call my insurance company to confirm my information and, in a loud and clearly audible voice to the rest of the waiting room, she read off all the information on my insurance card, my full name, and my social security number! There were about 4 other people sitting in the room listening to my social security number being read over the phone. This is not ok! When I finally got into the exam room, I waited a further half hour to see doctor Sharp. Once the doctor came into the room, I listened for over an hour as she rambled about her son and her divorce and her views on gay marriage and every other imaginable random topic that came into her head. And then she wrote down my medications incorrectly on the Rx sheet she faxed to my pharmacy so I received the incorrect dosages of my medications. It has been two weeks and my pharmacy still cannot get a hold of anyone in this office to correct the mistake. Further, she ordered blood work which I still have not received the results of. Every time I call the office to find out if they have come back from the lab, either no one answers or the receptionist promises to call me back when she finds my file and then never returns the call. I have now contacted the lab directly to see if I can get the results from them because I have completely given up hope of getting them from Dr Sharp's office. And, when I finally left the office almost three and a half hours after entering it and an hour and a half after closing, there were 5 more patients sitting in the waiting room waiting to be seen. If you have any other options, I highly recommend going to another doctor because this office is the least professional, least reliable business I have ever had the misfortune of visiting. read more

If I could give less stars, I certainly would! Terrible experience! I was a new patient and had to choose from a list of In network Dr's. I picked Dr Sharp due to the proximity to my house. I scheduled an appt for last Thursday and arrived promptly at 1pm. The door was locked, I called and there was no answer. I decided to wait 5 mins and called again. This time the receptionist picked up and let me in. I filled out all the new patient paperwork and sat waiting. At 1.30 there was no sign of the Dr and I had not been called in. I went to the window and asked when I would be seen. The receptionist informed me that the Dr was not even there and was out at an emergency! I have no idea when she was going to share that information with me. I decided to reschedule and went again today. I arrived at the correct time (even though the sign on the door said CLOSED). I signed in, was virtually ignored whilst the 2 receptionist (and the Dr) carried on a private conversation between themselves. After 10 mins the receptionist shouted from behind the glass that I needed to pay $120 in cash or check. I told her that I did not carry that amount of cash or a check book and she had ample time to tell me before my appt today that this was there rule. She told me to 'run over to the liqour store' to get the cash. I decided not to see the Dr and not to deal with this kind of unprofessional, incompetent service. Beyond RUDE Shame on you for wasting peoples valuable time and then having the arrogance to pretend that you are doing nothing wrong. You need to go back and hone your customer service skills. The situation (with Dr Sharp and her office staff) is unfortunate and unacceptable. A business is only as good as the whole. Dr Sharp appears to be a good doctor, however with all issues considered, this professional has very little to offer. Dr Sharp discusses these problems openly with her patients but cannot make the changes required to operate a [successful] practice. read more

Dr Sharp has been our family doctor for the past nine years. I can't say enough about her and what a kind intelligent doctor she is! Her office is friendly and clean. She is truly one of a kind as she takes time with us and never make us feel like a number. She is a great doctor for the whole family, and also does an amazing job with cosmetic peels, Botox, and fillers etc. We have moved out of state, and will miss Dr Sharp dearly! read more

Dr. Sharp provided great service. I've been blessed with good Dr.'s so far, but on my first visit to her, I felt at ease and she really listened. Thus, I got the treatment and meds necessary to take care of the ongoing bug I had for good. There was always that one diagnosis missing with my other Dr.'s. She took care of my all of my symptoms. Listen to these reviews!!! I tried giving this office the benefit of the doubt and I decided to go and try it... BIG mistake! I wasted my time almost two months to be exact. First of all the front desk is horrible at answering phone or communicating. Then when I finally got my first appointment I spoke to dr.sharp she seemed funny but then it went from funny to way inappropriate and unprofessional.. she doesn't focus on your but her opinions and a lot of talk about sex which has nothing to do with things. She finally gave me an order to get blood work done I got them done the first week of August 2 weeks late I never got a call or my results or anything. I had to stop by the office in person and ask for my results.. the front desk had forgotten to ask for them. Then I made and app to speak about my results for the following Friday at 430. As a nurse I know I shouldn't be doing this myself but the doctor should have already reviewed my results by know and called me herself or told her staff to call me to schedule and appt but that didn't happen. Then Friday came I was on time only to have the front desk tell me my appt was at 4 not at 430 when on the card they gave me it clearly said 430. So me being to nice gave them another chance and rescheduled got the following Friday. It has a been a month since my blood test by now. Following Friday I go in 430 again and the front desk told me they called me earlier that day to come in st 530 instead mind you I work and they never left a voicemail. I told them I couldn't and that it was their mistake last week messing up the times and they acknowledged that they "messed up" yet dr sharp again refused to see me until after 530 because she was 3 patients behind. I'm a nurse and I definitely know the difference between profesional and unprofessional practice trust me please don't waste your time here!!! I'm definitely looking for another physician... and now I just wasted almost 2 months with this one getting no help! read more

Once again Dr Susan Sharp 5 STARS!!! If I could give her 100 STARS I would! I went in today with a bad cough and also wanting a referral for a dermatologist as I have never been seen by one before. Dr. Susan Sharp is the kind of Dr that can multitask any situation. For my cough , it was worse than I though bronchitis, she put me on a breathing machine which helped immediately, she game me a shot of steroids to bring the inflammation down in my lungs then she prescribed me antibiotics and an inhaler etc... I feel better just walking out of her office knowing that she addressed every issue I had & I even left with my referral to see a dermatologist. She's AMAZING & I now fly from my home in Las Vegas just to see her as my Doctor! read more

Excellent caring Dr. Really takes her time with her patients and treats them the way a Dr. should. Is very concerned with every aspect of your health and health needs and does not rush you in and out of her office as EVERY other Dr that I've been to. If a rush job is what your looking for then go elsewhere. I've been with her for over a year and just about every time I see her she spends no less than 45 min with me going over EVERYTHING. 5 stars is not enough for her and her amazing front office/manager Dixie. Who is also very helpful and thorough. From sitting on the phone fighting with pharmacies about the importance of filling patients prescriptions to clearing up matters with insurance companies. I would recommend Dr.Sharp to EVERYONE. Nothing but good things from her practice. read more

STAY FAR AWAY. This place is a JOKE. The sluggish receptionist has no personality what so ever, she just huffs and puffs non stop and doesnt speak a word. Working the front desk you should probably look the part as well.. look professional and not like you just woke up. I waited forever in the waiting room! Why make an appointment if your not even going to be seen within reason of that time. After AN HOUR of waiting i knocked on the glass window (which they have closed so the receptionist doesn't have to talk to anyone) and asked how much longer, she said "your next".. ok yes.. but how long an she just ignored me. I have no clue how in the heck these people are still in business. The office was literally empty yet it took this long?!?! Now trying to get ahold of them for my lab results its almost impossible. I comment not only on my personal experience but also the way I saw her and her staff treat others. I only went to her office twice before finding another PCP. Once upon a time, I was willing and able to wait 2-3 hours to be seen by Dr. Sharp. Time was irrelevant when your Dr.s bed manners went above and beyond the norm. Finding a Dr. that would actually listen and spend all the time necessary with his/her patients is priceless. However, the amazing patient/Dr relationship took a wrong turn when the office went through a series of young, inexperienced office administrators. Orders are never filled on time, calls are never returned, no follow ups, etc. As of today, my insurance has not received the request since July/August of 2015. They never answer the phones, do not return messages and are not in the office according to their posted business hours. My insurance and I are trying to get my extensive medical records, so I can switch to another general Dr and there is no response. They don't answer phones, and the office has been closed whenever I paid them a visit. Dr. Sharp you need to get your act together. As of 3/31/2016, my Medical Group is now involved trying to get my medical records and my request. I have not been able to receive treatment because of this medical office incompetence. read more

my pcp moved to another city and i was looking for another one near irvine. she was closed enough and i chose her without knowing how good she was. She was very approachable, friendly, concerned, listening, accommodating, and careful. Her office staff was very patient and accommodating as well. i am glad that I switched my husband to her as well. I can strongly recommend her to anyone who needs pcp. There was another patient waiting in the waiting room and i had asked her how long she had been seeing her as her pcp and she said "12years!" I think she only has one patient per 30min or 1 hour. i don't think they book more than that so that she spends enough time to see her patients. i was waiting there because i had to wait for my insurance to be cleared and doing paperworks and etc. as one patient was about to leave, another one came in. anyway, i ended up talking to her for a long time and i felt i was talking to a friend of 20years. read more
