What started as a small bump on my father's skin -- which he specifically expressed concern about -- was brushed off by Dr. Afrasiabi as "possibly an infected pimple." We trusted her professional judgment, and that was a mistake. That so-called "pimple" turned out to be a fast-growing aggressive cancerous tumor. We just spent 12 hours in the hospital between radiology scans and a three-hour surgery to remove the tumor. When we returned to this office last week, Dr. Afrasiabi didn't apologize, didn't show empathy, and didn't take any responsibility for the misdiagnosis. She acted as if getting cancer was no big deal. And mind you all 3 devices of EKG were broken the day of our visit, which needed to be done urgently to get clearance for his operation today on 12/3/25. The lack of compassion was shocking. No patient -- especially someone facing a cancer diagnosis -- should ever be treated this way. I am deeply disappointed that someone like this Dr. Afrasiabi is allowed to care for patients. This may have been prevented months ago if the doctor had listened to my father's concerns and taken his symptoms seriously. But now we are forced to spend the next week anxiously waiting for biopsy results, praying the cancer hasn't spread and hoping for the best possible news. If you're looking for a doctor who listens, shows empathy, and takes concerns seriously, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

When I was admitted to the ER, they were shocked that as my PCP, he didn't prescribe ANY medication earlier to prevent my condition from getting worse. He constantly brushed off my concerns. If I was cared for properly, I wouldn't have had to go through the ER and go through the pain I am going through every day from a condition that could have 100% been prevented. Through almost a year of working with him, Dr Tsai never informed me or conducted preventative care appropriately. When I signed up for his service, he stated that he was "pretty much always available." I trusted him, but this turned out to be far from true. I would try to contact him through the member portal and hope for a response from him. Sometimes I would have to message and follow up more than once to get a response. He doesn't have a proper scheduling system or calendar, so you need to call repeatedly and leave voicemails and just hope that he will return your inquiry. It was a ton of playing phone tag and inability to reach him or schedule appointments to follow up. Please do yourself a favor and keep searching for a different doctor. Update: I reached out to Dr Tsai directly to express these sentiments, but he never responded. It was through this constant negligence and lack of communication that prompted me to feel obligated to warn other people looking for care. For instance, she has had breathing issues the last few years yet no one had ever had her do a breathing test to figure out the cause. Dr. Mikhail quickly got a test ready for her, then diagnosed and treated the issue. I can't thank Dr. Mikahil enough for all these years of outstanding service, expertise, and kindness. This doctor didnt look at the blood work at all. Other doctors saw my blood work and recommended things based off my family history because they saw things that concerned them. And when I went back to ask him about it and to look at my labs again and order extra testing because of this condition that runs in my family, he literally dropped me as a patient and said "there's a problem with our doctor-patient relationship." This guy is joke and he doesn't even answer questions. If god forbid you have a question, he actually gets annoyed if you ask him too many questions.
