Not only is Dr Yang a consummate professional, he is also one of the most friendly and down to earth doctors I've ever met. His staff is highly skilled and have helped me immensely. I highly recommend the whole package here!!! read more

Went to Dr. Yang for my FAA physical, his staff is super friendly and Dr. Yang is easy to talk too. He asked all the right questions didn't just check the box for my physical, he actually cares about you and your career path. He also picked up that I was a veteran and shared some of his veteran humor, made me feel comfortable talking with him. Overall a great experience! read more

Just tried to call office to make appt for my mom and the office staff was extremely rude. She asked what appt is for and I told her. Her responses were don't accept infectious disease anymore. Okay, then I asked if they have anyone the recommend or are referring to? Her response, "umm I think you can research that yourself." I was shocked!!! Thank you for not accepting pts for I wouldn't want my mom at your office anyways. Completely unacceptable. read more

I've been coming to Dr. Yang since I was a child. Always provides good care and explains everything. He does not rush through his appointments and takes the necessary time to be with his patients. Great staff as well. Nice office! read more

I had an appointment for immigration medical examination on October 05 and got our medical report after one week. That was tough week for us because of my special situation. Beyond this , I can feel they really want to help you. Great thanks to Dr. Yang and your team for your helps! We really appreciate it ! read more

Dr. Yang is an exceptional Infectious Disease Specialist. I had a fever for over 10 days even after seeing 4 doctors and receiving antibiotic for 7 days, and my PCP asked me to consult an ID specialist.Dr. Yang and his team managed to schedule an appointment for me the same day I reached out. During my visit, Dr. Yang conducted a comprehensive exam, ordered necessary blood tests, and pinpointed the cause of my fever. My fever went away after just the second appointment. I feel lucky to have Dr. Yang practicing in our community. Without his prompt and expert care, I might have spent another week suffering from the fever and bouncing between different clinics and urgent cares. read more

Attentive, patient and caring, I felt like a patient instead of a number here. I came in with a high temperature and a severe cough and with all the scares of corona virus, I was concerned. However Doctor Yang eased my fears and helped me make an appointment as soon as possible. After the appointment, I left feeling safe and confident now that I had all worries addressed. read more

Dr. Yang and Laura (front desk) are awesome! He is a FAA aviation medical examiner. I got my first class medical certificate with him. Super helpful and very quick. I appreciate it very much. I have very bad experience visiting this office, The staff overcharging me, even my insurance told them they shouldn't be doing this. Very often they don't answer my calls and they don't return my call over 24 hours after I left messages. They are so careless, unprofessional and don't treat me right. Glad found another doctor which is must better. read more

I've been going to Dr. Yang since I was a baby (I'm 25 now). He's funny and genuinely cares about you. The first reviewer (Bara T.) has no idea what she is talking about....and here's why. The average human being is incompetent and just flat out stupid. By "average" I mean 99% of the earth's population. That is why I have given up on humanity. Combine that with a reviewer with zero understanding and medical knowledge, you have fail. That aside...sulfates and sulfites are different. People who have no idea what they are talking about shouldn't speak as if they do. I'm looking at you Bara. Also, the Doctor shouldn't have to tell you to change your diet and exercise because it is common sense. Second of all, it is common knowledge that Physicians can and will prescribe something you are allergic to if it is not adverse. HERE IS THE KICKER!!!!! Having a reaction to sulfites in something you eat or drink DOESN'T MEAN you'll be allergic to sulfonamide medication. If you have a reaction to a sulfonamide antibiotic, you may still be able to take other sulfonamide medications without having a reaction. If a person is severely allergic (anaphylactic reaction) to sulfonamides, this class of drug should be avoided. If the allergic reaction is mild such as a mild rash etc., the clinician should not rule out the use of this class. Keep in mind that sulfa or sulfonamide is not the same as sulfur. DOCTORS KNOW THIS. She chose to write a negative review based on lack of knowledge. Unfortunate, but that's how the general public is. She did get one thing right, however, although she chose not to do it in the first place. Take responsibility for your own health, and stop blaming the person trying to help you when you don't know anything. read more

I don't know. Years ago, I went to see Dr. Yang about a blood test results that showed I was getting pre-diabetic. Instead of instructing me how to modify my diet and exercise program, he decided to prescribe me medication that contained sulfates which I'm allergic to. I don't like doctors who just prescribe medication without regard to anything else. I swell up when I take anything sulfa, sulfates, and I can't even use Neosporin on my skin (there's Polymyxin B Sulfate in there) and wherever I put the Neosporin on my skin, the area swells up to 1/2 inch high, and I had to get it lanced at the urgent care center! I've also had other preservatives make my throat swell. I told him I'm ALLERGIC to sulfa, sulfites, He didn't care. He said that it's better to be alive than to be allergic. When the medicine RX went to the pharmacy, the pharmacy immediately flagged that I'm allergic to this medication and asked him to consider a different one. HE REFUSED, so I told the pharmacist that I REFUSE the medication because of my allergies. If I could give 0 stars, I would. I do NOT agree with his medical opinions. To this date, I've lost 45 lbs, went from a size 16 to size 10, and am much healthier through my diet, exercise, and sleep treatments. The prediabetics is from years of undiagnosed sleep apnea, and as that got treated and my body functioned better, the diet and exercise adjustments really took effect It just goes to show that doctors don't know everything, and it's better to take responsibility for your own health. read more

Dr. Yang is very genuine, caring, competent, honest, and funny. I called his office, and scheduled an appointment due to my fever that kept getting worse. I was instructed to come and see him immediately. Got there, fill out a couple pages of form, and I was on my way to see the doctor. The lady that takes care of the paper work also took my pulse, and she was very sweet! He came in to the room, we chat for a little while, and he said I'll be right back. He diagnosed me, wrote me a prescription, and I was sent home. I picked the prescription up (which is literally downstairs), took the pill, and I swear, three hours later the fever I was dealing with for days literally went away. By 6 p.m. I was feeling great, and I was able to work the next day like nothing happened. Dr. Yang knows his stuff, efficient. and on top of that, he is very accommodating. One thing that really impress me is that he actually went out of his way, relentlessly if you will, to get in contact with me the next day after my visit, to see how am I doing. He called around 9 a.m. but I was unable to answer since I was at work already. He actually called my girlfriend (I put her number as emergency number), and asked her if he could get my email so he could get in touch with me. Sure enough, I got his email (he emailed me personally to check in with me). I don't know if I've been going to crappy doctors (no doctors has personally emailed or called me to see how am I doing), or he is actually care and genuine to his patients. I am truly grateful that I found a great doctor like him, and I am a patient for life! Add me to the 5 stars lists. read more

They have awesome service. I strongly recommend them . I went for medical report and things they did were just prefect .

My son has been addicted to opioids (oral opioids and iv heroin) and the only physician who has been able to help him is Dr Yang. He has taken the time to actually talk and connect with my son and my son has responded to Dr Yang's approach, which says a lot. On Suboxone, my son was able to get off heroin, then took the Vivitrol shot and was clean off heroin for about 7 months. He recently relapsed but asked to see Dr Yang again for help. Once again, I am hopeful that my son will be able to fight off his addiction and with Dr Yang's help, it is a strong possibility. If you have a loved one hooked on drugs this man is the right Dr. read more

Be careful, here is my bad experience with them recently 1. they did not fill the medical form carefully. I found two mistakes done by them. 2. their charge rate is average 40% higher than other peer clinic. you better call other clinic for same services. 3. their use any excuse to charge you more if you ask them to correct the mistake they do. 4 they did not tell you any hidden fee at beginning you ask them until it is happen. 5. Very rude and hard to understand office staff. If you're looking for travel medicine, civil surgeon better off looking somewhere else! read more

- great doctor who has had patients for many many years. - funny guy who can speak multiple languages. (Chinese-Mandarin, Japanese, some spanish, english, i'm sure i'm missing some!) - jokes around with you, but in the end he's always looking out for you. He works hard and is very knowledgeable - I've had many many friends (and their entire families) who have had him as a doctor. FYI: he's internal medicine with specialization in infectious disease. make sure to see him if you're going somewhere exotic and need to get some vaccines!! read more

Dr. Yang is and will always be our Family Doctor. He's very knowledgable, caring, friendly, and to-the point. During your appointment, he'll take time to understand your explanation and actually asks the well-being of your family members. Great listener! Surprisingly, he remembers who you are and who are your family members. Impressive! His office will automatically fax your medical perscription to your local pharmacy direct. You just need to pick up your medicine later. In addition, he won't charge your for services you don't require. read more

My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Yang for 16 years. As long as we live in the area, we will never change providers. As has been mentioned in other posts, the staff is fantastic. Dr. Yang himself is beyond exceptional. Check off all of the boxes...he takes his time with his patients...he gets to know his patients on a very personal level and will remember who you are and details about your life, even if you haven't been to see him in several months...he is meticulous in his research concerning specific issues that any one person might have, (if he is unfamiliar, he finds out through very carefully selected sources)...he follows through and follows up. He is a genuine human being and worthy of all praise. He will be my Dr. for life. read more

Family friendly doctor! Always on the lookout for his patients! He ALWAYS takes the time to ask how the rest of my family is doing. I have been coming here for the last 22 years and wouldn't consider going to anyone else. Have seen other doctors provided by the California network and they have bad reviews on yelp for a reason. Front desk is never demeaning, impatient and always very helpful in making sure you check-in. Thank you to everyone that works behind the counter that make you feel so comfortable. They do not make you feel discriminated against in anyway compared to other doctors which is sadly pretty rare and is commendable. read more

Found this place on yelp and super convenient from work and near a Starbucks lol. My husband called this morning to make an appointment and they were able to take him today at 10:30. We got here early. The receptionist was helping another couple and she was very nice and informative. She was also very helpful with my husband, as he doesn't have insurance. She let us know about the Santa Ana health department and that it was cheaper there for shots but we could still get them here if we wanted. I thought that was very nice of her!!! Usually when myself or my husband go to the doctors or anywhere... they don't really care like that....they just want to check you in and collect. So glad I found them on yelp. Thankyou read more

Yang Jung-I MD - Internal Medicine Near Me - Irvine, California

Very rude and hard to understand office staff. If you're looking for an infectious disease specialist, better off looking somewhere else!

Dr. Yang is one of the most caring physicians I have met. He always takes extra time with me and has been treating my family for several years. I always go to him as my primary care physician and have always had a great experience. His staff is also very pleasant. If all professionals were like Dr. Yang, the world would be a better place. read more

Most of the 4 and 5 stars reviews should be from friends or relatives. What a terrible experience. The front desk lady (Laura) is a very rude person; she seems to be the one who rules in this office. Dr. Jung does not have any authority, he is always asking the front desk (jerk) what to do. I think this is an example of what happen when a professional doesn't retire on time. I do NOT recommend going to this place. Save your time and money. read more

I have been coming to Dr. Yang for over 10 years now. What I like about him is that he won't make you take medication if he truly thinks you can be cured in a different way (home remedies). Also his staff is so wonderful and friendly and they not only remember me but they remember specific facts about me. You can tell they go out of their way to make their patients feel like family. I recommend Dr. Yang to all of my friends and family and I will recommend him to you too :) read more

I chose Dr. Yang out of all the MD's on Yelp based on all his positive reviews on Yelp. I went to see Dr. Yang because I have a trip coming up that requires travel medication consultation. Long story short, one thing that I really like about Dr. Yang is that he was very caring and took his time to answer all my questions while I was there. The thing that really stood out for me is that later that evening he sent me an email with some additional notes and questions to make sure that I'm well prepared for my trip. I really appreciate the fact that he thought about his patient even after the visit, I think that says a lot. I would recommend my friends and family members to see Dr. Yang. read more

My primary care physician retired recently and I needed to find a new one. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Yang for a routine physical. The receptionist was very polite and scheduled an appointment within a reasonable amount of time. I agree with everyone that Dr. Yang is caring, friendly, light-hearted, and professional above all else. What surprised me the most was the level of personal attention. I think this alone sets him apart from many doctors. He personally drew the blood for my blood test. It was painless and I felt safe in his capable hands. He also emailed me personally to notify me that my test results were in, first thing in the morning the day after my appointment! Most doctors usually make me call the lab or I hear back from the receptionist. I would definitely recommend him in a heartbeat. read more
