I was a patient for little over a year. I moved away for a work assignment for 3 months and this office dropped me as a patient without any explanation. Dr. Panitch nor her staff responded to any of my messages. I was left high and dry without a provider and refills for my daily medication. Dr. Panitch is the best doctor I've ever had, period. She's thorough, compassionate, respectful, smart, humble, patient, and timely. Upon meeting her you immediately get the sense that she's a lovely human being. A few minutes later you'll see that she also has a very sharp medical mind. Her bedside manner is stellar and her follow-up (for example after tests) is exactly what one would want: prompt, detailed, and giving plenty of time for questions. I've been seeing her for about 7 years (first at Memorial Care in HB) and now in Laguna Beach. Dr. Panitch is the opposite of the stereotypical rushed, rude, curt, arrogant doctor you see in movies. Unlike many others who have their "hand on the doorknob" 5 minutes into an appointment (either figuratively or literally), Dr. Panitch never makes you feel rushed and always has time for all your questions. Most other doctors either seem ambivalent towards you or very matter-of-fact/full of themselves and don't seem to give off the vibe that they really care to listen to your questions and concerns, or they rush you, and are in and out in five minutes because they already have to meet with another patient. This is 100% NOT the case if you schedule an appointment with Dr. Panitch! I have been going to Dr. Panitch for years and there is honestly no better doctor out there. She is incredibly warm, personable, and genuine, always very thorough and willing to take the time to address any concerns or questions you may have. Having seen other doctors and specialists over the years, she truly stands out from the rest. Best physician I have ever had the pleasure of seeing. She's a great listener. You will never feel rushed like you may at some offices. Great suggestions for noninvasive care. Always available to quickly respond to emails in an emergency. There are too many great things about her to list here. I have recommended her to friends and family and will continue to do so. I have been a patient of Dr. Panitch's for a few years now, and until recently needed very little from her as my PCP. As I began to have a few health challenges I discovered why I am very fortunate to be in her care. Dr. Panitch is clearly patient-focused and competent, but she is also extremely kind, thoughtful, and present when she is working with a patient. She stayed in consistent communication with me as we sorted thru a plan and has continued to follow up with me as I recover from two recent surgical procedures. If I could give 10 out of 5 stars I would! She is incredibly patient, compassionate and knowledgable. Each and every time she spends a considerable amount of time to make sure all of my questions or concerns have been addressed. She is the first PCP i've come across that orders tests to determine root cause of symptoms reported, and is open to suggesting alternative methods for medical treatment (if applicable) She is wonderful !
