When I saw botched in Santa Ana and not botched in Beverly Hills, is exactly when I should've left the office.
The nurse practitioner was awful. I've been having health concerns for around four months now, but was unable to get the medical attention I needed because of insurance roadblocks. So, once I got things figured out I went with Dr. Soans because she could get me seen the fastest, but this was probably my first mistake. I didn't even get to see Dr. Soans at all, all I got was the nurse practitioner who couldn't care less about my well being. First thing she said when she walked in the room was, so I see you have some acne. Like what the hell? No duhhh, I look at my face everyday, but like if you're not gonna give me a referral for it or try to fix it, then why are you going to point it out. Makes no sense. I went in for a women's wellness physical, so I assumed that would obviously be my breast/vaginal health, with the additional checking of the rest of my body's health, but I guess that was too much to ask for. I needed referrals to see other Dr.'s and the nurse said that I would have to explain my issues at a later appointment because I was providing her with way too much information. But like isn't that the point of a physical, to make sure that your patient's body is functioning the way it's supposed to. As a health care professional your job is quite literally to assess, diagnose, and help me manage my issues. I asked her for a referral to GI and she shut me down immediately and when I mentioned another problem I have she told me to see if it'd go away on its own before taking care of it (like I would not be bringing this up if I thought more time would resolve the issue). I'm so tired of these health care professionals' laziness getting in the way of me getting the help I need. I wouldn't be asking for help if I didn't see a physical change in my body. It's so frustrating knowing what's wrong with yourself, but not being able to get the help you need to fix your issues because the provider doesn't want to take the time to listen to you. My appointment was at 2pm, but the nurse didn't come into the room until 2:30pm and it seemed like she wanted to be out of the office by 3pm (from what I heard). She also lowkey barged into the room when I was undressed and didn't even knock the second time she came in, so she obviously lacks professionalism. When she swabbed me she didn't even give me a warning and it felt like someone was stabbing me, which is crazy because it was literally just a q-tip. I feel bad for the individuals who rated this practice highly, because this is not was appropriate health care service is. I was severely disrespected during this appointment and my time was disregarded. I wish I could've expressed this to the nurse before I left but she poofed into thin air within seconds of "finishing" the examination. Even then the continued overbearing stress of months with unresolved health issues sadly continuing at the end of this appointment had me emotionally wrecked by the end. read more
