I think it's time to switch Provider. I've been going to Dr Bunten for at least the last 7 years…read morebut this was the first time I tried to see him since they became Memorial Care. When I tried to make an appointment it would have been 3 weeks before he had time available. I told them all I needed was to renew my prescriptions. So they told me Alison the PA could help me with that. At least she was able to see me within 5 days. And it didn't start well with her but it ended well. First of all, the chart that she reviewed before seeing me wasn't mine but she corrected it. Second, with the new Memorial Care system, some of my information was missing so I had to let her know how much MG some of my medication was...annoying. What I like about Alison was she was very thorough. She had requested all my lab test and one blood test that was the latest in testing for cancer. Today, I got my results back from Quest (which took 2 weeks), let's see if they follow up on my results. I guess no news is good news. If no one follows up I will definitely switch providers. In the meantime, I'll go on Quest website and see if I can figure it out.

What a gorgeous facility, did not feel like an urgent care nor even doctor office waiting room, and even the rooms were a great size, extremely clean and pleasant to be in. The nursing staff was very friendly (Nick and Darling) and helpful and Dr Phil was super attentive to my needs and provided excellent care with little to no wait whatsoever. In a way I hate to leave this review although it is well deserved but I'm afraid that so many people will read these reviews and then I will not be able to get appointments with Dr. Young anymore. That being said, Dr Young is the best there is. He is a truly caring and concerned doctor. He goes the extra mile for you and listens.... not just like in one ear and out the other with an uh huh every once in a while listening but the kind of listening where he is asking you questions and taking notes kind of listening. So many doctors out there are in such a hurry to push as many patients through the office as possible. You will not find that here. I agree with Chris C. "Kai" his assistant really is "top notch" they make a great team. He is great with "teenagers" as well. My whole family goes to him. My girls and my son feel very comfortable with him. They say he looks like a grown up "Doogie Houser MD" My Teens actually look forward to seeing him when they are sick. (Imagine that ???) And if you happend to go to the ER over a weekend with chest pains and you don't bother to let him know....you can be sure come monday that you will be getting a phone call from him wanting to know what's going on, how you are and why you or a family member didn't call him to let him know. I've been a patient of Dr. Young's for about 15 years. I have nothing but good to say regarding his practices, style, bedside manner. He always causes me to feel comfortable no matter what the topic of health we are discussing. And, I've never had a visit where we don't end up laughing at SOME point during the appointment. He has a great sense of humor, which goes a long way when one is dealing with their wellness. Recently I've had some health issues and because I've moved 60 miles from his offices, I faxed the results from an Urgent Care and ER visit, and he took time out of his busy day to call me within 20 minutes of receiving the fax! I was not expecting that, but it was a source of comfort. It gave me the opportunity to discuss my options with him, without losing time; which is of the essence at this particular moment. He's attentive, gracious, and a great physician. I would highly recommend him to anyone that would ask me. read more

While on the way, I called to inform them I would be about 5 minutes late, but I was told I had no appointment and that the doctor was not accepting new patients, despite the fact that I had already been scheduled and selected under my insurance. I want to mention that the office itself was clean, quiet, and well organized. There were two receptionists present, and both of them were respectful, kind, and did their best to assist us professionally. After insisting, I was told to come in. My father was in a wheelchair, weak and confused, and needed care. Unfortunately, Dr. Sheidaei's behavior was very unprofessional. He appeared impatient, dismissive, and spoke to us in a disrespectful manner. He also stated that he does not accept Medi-Cal patients, which was confusing given the prior confirmation. What was most upsetting was the tone and attitude we received during such a vulnerable moment. Instead of compassion, we felt judged and unwelcome. When I asked if he could also see my mother in the future, he responded in a very inappropriate and humiliating way, saying in a threatening tone that I should "not push things" or he might refuse to see my father as well. This was extremely distressing and unacceptable, especially given my father's condition. I understand that medical offices are busy, but basic respect and professionalism should always be present, especially when dealing with patients in critical conditions.
