I have been a patient of Dr. Hakim for a number of years. He is like the family doctor (Dr. Donald Crocker in Lynwood and Yorba Linda) I had as a child, teenager, and young adult. Both Hakim and Crocker care about the entire patient and take time to understand the underlying condition. Dr. Hakim is someone that I would highly recommend. I have read a few negative reviews here which can only be described as outliers (hint: some folks are very hard to please and sometimes only want to hear one thing). If you are looking for an old school doctor who has Ivy league credentials with the manners of the small town doctors in middle America then Dr Said Hakim is the right choice. read more

I made an appointment as a new patient to see Dr Hakim. At the time I called to make the appointment I provided my PPO insurance details. I showed up for the appointment two days later to be told by front office staff my insurance is not in network and he can not see me. They were not even apologetic for not letting me know prior to the appointment, instead waited until I showed up to let me know. Unfortunately, because of this I wasted my time off from work for nothing. read more

My husband and I were new patients for him.he is so kind and professional, Very patient and clearly explained to us,my finger was injury for 3 months already,my previous family doctor,said just ice apply,pain medication,I asked her,how about rehabilitation,she refused me,said it does not help.so my finger pain for 3 months still pain,but Dr. Hakim said I had a tendinitis ,because your insurance request general treatment first,so I want you take ibuprofen and rehabilitation first,if still does not work,I will refer to hand specialist,as a patient,it make me feel a big different. read more

I have been with this doctor for several years but it has become apparent this doctor only cares about collecting as much co-pay/c-insurance he can. Getting test results regardless if the results are good or bad requires a visit. Asking small medical advice questions requires a visit. This doctor's office only aims to milk as much money out of his patents. read more

I'm completely disappointed with my experience with the unprofessional Dr. Hakim. But, it is a blessing in disguise because I found out sooner rather than later to change primary physicians. My experience with him was so unprofessional and uncomfortable it really shocked me. I'm in a very difficult time in my life, out of work and in the middle of severe mental health issues. Yet, Dr. Hakim only worries about paperwork and the amount of work that is brought unto him rather than his patient's health and wellbeing. (This is all during a phone call). Rather than him informing me politely that he could not fill out and submit certain documents, and informing me on what I should do and guiding me, he starts blaming me for sending so many documents to his office. As if I am purposely trying to make his life harder? lol. I am a patient in need on a time-sensitive case -- but he did not understand this, apparently. I don't think he understands the vulnerable situation I am in and how I have no prior knowledge on the steps to get state disability and leave of absences from work. It was very disheartening and frustrating dealing with a man who wouldn't let me speak, talk over me, and blame me for things I have no knowledge on. I hope this experience does not happen to anyone else that finds themselves in the same position as me. A lot of people are happy with him, and I am happy for them. But I want to be heard by the crappy experience I had with this man. It was very weird and very unprofessional. read more

Though I am a brand new patient to Dr. Hakim's office, I am super confident about this 5-star review. I came in for a check-up and to get help for my recent stomach pains, and Dr. Hakim took his time to get to know me, shared stories, and during the diagnosis he broke everything down for me so it was easy to understand what exactly was going on in my body. Dr. Hakim is kind, nurturing, and funny, and really knows how to keep a fun environment all while being professional. He's knowledgable and really takes his time listening to you and explaining things so you leave without any concerns or questions. When diagnosing my stomach problems, he took my personality type and career into consideration to suggest that stress might be a big factor. I listened to his advice and started meditating and finding ways to relax myself, and my stomach problems vanished almost completely. His office is uses very modern technology including paperless forms, touchscreen computers, and an online patient portal. He even carries around a laptop to take notes while he listens to you! Dr. Hakim is the best family practice doctor in Orange County! I even chose my insurance on Covered California based on which plan I could have him as my PCP with. He's patient, takes the time to listen, makes informed recommendations, and even notices body language. A funny example: During my last annual well visit he noticed I rubbed my arms and asked if I was cold, and when I said yes but it was okay, he went out and turned the heater up to be sure I'd be comfortable. read more

Dr. Hakim is a throwback to the days when you had a family doctor that you knew and could trust. He is professional yet extremely personable and friendly. He also has the rare skill of being able to explain what is going on without making it seem that he is talking down to you. He made sure I understood the reasons for the course of treatment he prescribed and what to expect. We also chatted about the current studies pertaining to my current case and it was enlightening. Even though I was in considerable distress, I throughly enjoyed coming to see Dr. Hakim -- the smile you see in the photo is real. His office staff has the unenviable job of dealing with insurance companies among other duties, but they are gracious and kind. When I have a problem or question, they took the time to explain what the issue was to my satisfaction. I appreciated their assistance and it saved me a lot of stress. My husband and I moved to south O.C. and so he had to switch doctors. I looked online and saw Dr. Hakim had good reviews so we gave him a try and were not disappointed! He had amazing bedside manner. He calmly took his time to explain everything during the wellness exam and we felt like he was very focused on my husband and was very thorough. There was a no-rush vibe, and yet the appointment was only 20 minutes or so. He quickly ordered a prescription refill for us, and made everything else super easy. If you're not a fan of doctors or doctor appointments (like my husband); I would definitely give Dr. Hakim a try. Came in today to take care of some vaccines that I need for school and I was super impressed! The girls in the front were so nice and very helpful when it came to helping me understand all the stuff that I needed to get done. When something came up that they weren't too sure about, they asked the doctor for confirmation and instead of just relaying the message, he came over and actually took the time to explain to me what I needed to get done and he was SO nice about it! I really appreciated that! I wish I could remember her name, but the girl who actually administered my vaccines and blood work was awesome! Last time I had to get a shot, I definitely cried from being scared and because it kind of hurt, but I hardly felt anything at all! Even the TDAP didn't hurt like it usually does. Super easy & quick. The other nice woman in the front (I really need to start asking names) was super cool and let me know that she would help me find a place to get any remaining vaccines I might need at a reasonable price. As a student who barely gets to work anymore, that is SO appreciated! I would highly recommend this place to anyone who needs to get blood work or vaccines done. Even though I didn't get to spend a lot of time with Dr. Hakim, I could tell he has an awesome bedside manner and genuinely loves what he does, and would recommend him to anyone looking for a doctor!
