Dropped off my $60,000 truck that I paid thousands extra to have the extended maintenance warranty and they "skipped" over my paperwork and are just now getting to it. I tried calling 3 times and each time no one knew crap!!! Service manager tries to apologize and says "We won't charge you"...yeah you won't charge me because I already paid for it!!!! I'm so pissed right now! I will never bring my truck back or purchase another vehicle from this place. I just wasted thousands on an extended maintenance contract!!! So this time on how can richford screw me over they have done this, at 45,000 miles they just canceled my maintenance plan that on the paperwork I signed guarantees me through 65,000 and 6 years. That is per the maintenance plan they gave me when they screwed me out of the trade in value of my truck. I have shown them paperwork that says I bought 6 years and 65,000 miles, but they are choosing to no longer honor something I have purchased. They're supervision or management has already looked at my paperwork, they have tried to update it in the system but the owners or whoever is the administrator of that system simply will not approve something I purchased from them. Now I'm sure the reply will be something like that's not how we do business, that's not how we act, we have an awesome rating with the bbb, however this is the fact, this is what's happened and I wouldn't recommend Rich Ford to my worst enemy on the planet if I had one. No one in a right mind should have to go through any of this ever. The only benefit of this happening is this means I never have to set foot in that place again and the 12,000 they have screwed me out of is worth it to not have to deal with anybody in that building ever again. There isn't a worse dealership in town. Very disappointed in the service department here. Took my truck in to the "fast lane" for an oil change, tire rotation and to check the recalls. Dropped it off at 8:15, arrived back to dealership at 4:30 to find out they did nothing other than pull the recall codes. Said they had to order the parts and we're too busy to do my oil change after leaving in sit all day. No phone call, nothing. Service writer coul give two shits about me being unhappy. OK very embarrassing situation I had purchased a 2017 Ford F150 I've been having issues with it ever since I purchased it I've had it in the shop I think a total of 5 times. So when I gave a bad review for having such a bad truck they respond saying that they cannot post my review because it isn't what they expected so now I know why Ford keeps a five star rating is because they do not post the bad reviews then I have the retention manager call me and say hey maybe you should come in and we can see what we can do for you. We were traveling from the Grand Canyon back to Maine and started to notice a problem with our car about 90 miles west of Albuquerque- we googled Ford dealers in Albuquerque and chose this one / called them from the road and got in by 5:30pm where we were greeted by J.C. who treated us with such concern and respect - he took the car out for a test drive to help determine the problem and figured out it was a wheel bearing. We had to spend the night in a local hotel while they worked on it the next day. J.C. Kept us informed by the hour and we were back on the road by 2pm ! Drove my vehicle in to check low power issue and check engine light. Was not making any sounds. Told me to leave vehicle and they would let me know once they run diagnostics. Manager Tony told me to call him with warranty service number. I called before closing to check my vehicle. Tony told me it would be a few days until they could run diagnostics. They ran diagnostics week later and told me the timing belt needed to be replaced and they got approval from warranty company. But parts were on back order and it could be at least 6 weeks. They received the parts 5 weeks later and told me the tech was backlogged and couldn't get to my vehicle for another week and it was a 2-3 day job. They called me back and recommended an engine replacement but said that warranty would only cover 4500 on a 14000 job. I told them just to replace the timing chain. Tony called me this morning to tell me the tech started the job. Then he called me back same day to tell me that the tech was done. He told me they did not start the vehicle and recommended I tow it out because he didn't know how long it would last. I told him that I drive it in and it should drive out. Well we came to pick it up and it's making a loud clinking/grinding noise and leaking oil which it was not doing at all. Tony is rude and horrible to work with. Ok, this review was years ago but I have to tell this story. Myself, and two friends (all 3 college age) took a cross country trip. Sadly the trip didn't get past Albuquerque. There were a few reasons for that. One, we were driving an 1986 Aerostar. Two, when it eventually broke down we took it to Rich Ford for repairs. We were stuck in Albuquerque for a full 2 weeks for the first repair. The van was still running rough so we took it back. Sadly (and probably fortunate) we decided to head home to Torrance, Ca. But about an hour from home THE DAMN DRIVETRAIN FELL OFF! We towed it back home for the final hour. So 2 trips to Rich Ford ended up a 3 week stay and the van still fell apart after repair. These guys used to suck. I do hope it is under new ownership now. We saw all of New Mexico that's for sure. read more

Sales and service at Rich Ford leave a lot to be desired. Sales rep kept pushing a vehicle on me after I repeatedly told him I was not interested. He had 4 print outs of similar vehicles with different options. He would continually shuffle them when I would try to discern the vehicle differences. When I pointed out that he had two print outs of the same vehicle (the one I definitely did not want) he tried shuffling them again. Not sure if this usually works for him but it was enough for me to go out of state to purchase my Ford. Service likes to play the same shuffle/confuse trick. I asked for bulb change for the blinker in my mirror. In the process of changing the bulb they managed to break the mirror motor and damage both mirrors (pitted the smaller mirror and cracked the large mirror.) They replaced the glass for both mirrors. While waiting for the parts to fix the motor, the small mirror fell off the vehicle. Took the vehicle in for an alignment and oil change, so I showed them the how easily the mirror falls out. And it fell out onto the garage floor and broke. Service writer says it is not related to the work they performed and is not covered by extended warranty. $100 for parts and labor which I declined. Left the vehicle for the alignment and oil change. They completed the alignment but neglected the oil change. No excuses they just didn't do it. Luckily my extended warranty is good at any Ford dealer so I guess it's time to see how Power Ford treats their customers. read more

Buyer beware!! I recently bought a new/used F150 from Rich Ford. They sold me a Maintenance plan and service plan that totaled 16,500. I was told at the time this was the only way they could get me financed. I thought at the time this Package was priced too high but went ahead an made the deal. after a few days I started pricing these plans out online and discovered they had tripled the price of both plans. I read my contract for the two plans, and it stated that the plans were not required in order to get financed and that I had 30 days to return them for a full refund. The contract also stated that after returned, the money would be sent back to the finance company within 45 days. I returned to Rich Ford with a written request for both plans to be canceled. I also filled out a request to cancel form. The finance agent stated it would take 13 weeks to return the money. When I pointed out that both the contract and request to cancel said 45 days His reply was that We/ Rich ford take 13 weeks to return the money...Meanwhile I am paying interest on the 16,500. they are crooks and liars. it's been 5 weeks now and the plans are still showing active. I am seriously considering consulting a lawyer. Not only that both the salesman and finance rep. kept requesting a 5-star rating saying if they didn't get 5 stars they could get fired. First time buyer and Last time!!! read more

We took our Honda Pilot in because the emissions light came on. Rich Ford told us that we needed an all new engine for $10,000 we took to another reputable shop and they were able to fix it with replacing the valve cover gasket for a $1,000. read more

Rich Ford's service department has consistently let me down in the last year. I went in for tires and was told they would match prices, but when I found an alternative seller with the same product and showed the technician the price they told me I would need to print the webpage and bring it back. I was told I couldn't email them the web page and they did not offer to print it there. I took my business to Discount Tire instead. I wrote them a poor review on their website because of the tire incident and they asked if they could contact me about the issue. I said absolutely, and gave them permission to email me. Over the next month I received no email correspondence, but was called several times, interrupting classes, meetings, and other appointments. I politely told them to please stop calling and email me as requested. Apparently the service department does not understand email, as they continued calling. I eventually sent them an email asking them to stop calling and to feel free to respond to my email. I did not hear back. Recently I contacted them about my security system after my car had been burglarized. I asked them to email or call (since I know they don't like email) and four days later had still not heard from them. I will be taking my business to Power Ford, who have been highly responsive and very accommodating (amazing that just responding is the new baseline for "accommodating" after these experiences). Rich Ford was happy to make sales, but does not follow through and is not interested in me as a client. read more

Service is usually pretty good. One time though they forgot my car and I went to go get it after waiting so long and it never got done so they did it really quick and got me out of there. This time I had a sound in my car and they couldn't hear it it's still making the sound but I haven't taken it back yet because you know how I goes every time you take something back to let them hear It's not there! This service repair center is entirely inept at customer service and relaying information. I contacted them to schedule a time to get my 'urgent airbag safety recall' dealt with, was initially informed that it would take 24-hours and I would not be given a loaner car. When I informed this representative that I know it takes nowhere near 24 hours to replace an airbag, I requested to speak to her supervisor. I spoke with Crystal who informed me it would actually only take 2-3 hours to repair and that they did not have any information on replacing the airbag on my passenger side, but only on the driver side. When told that made me car unroadworthy, by DOT standards, and I needed to know when that part would be available, she placed me on speaker phone (without being told so) and Brian Gertig interjected with the information they haven't heard anything since April. I wanted to know the status of their relationship with ford because I find a 5 month gap between communications with your corporate entity extremely odd (especially with an urgent recall), I was repeatedly informed they were NOT Ford. I asked them to use their contractual relationship with Ford to figure out when a replacement would be issued. Evidently, he was not interested in using or discussing the legal tools at his disposal and decided to hang up on me. I suggest everyone who thinks of using Rich 'Ford' understand that the Ford in their name is not associated with Ford Motor Company, but must just be Rich's last name or something. read more

The whole company should take a class on ethics. We had a car sold form under us. As we doing paper work with an new employee. Not his fault that it was taking time to fill out what was required. The Car was by an under handed sales "team" member. We are new parents with a 3 month old trying to buy our first family car. Staff didn't care until they saw the 860 credit score. After that senior staff wasted 3 hours of our time trying to sell us S@#t from invintory they didn't know, from the hole in the ground. We got my husband's Ford Escape Hybrid SUV repaired here when we the car kept shutting down stating, "Stop vehicle safetly now." There was some problem with the car battery coolant and it costs us over $900!!!! Over half of the costs were labor, which I thought was absurd (over $600 were labor)!!! It took them about 4 days before even beginning the repair work on the vehicle. And took a week for the repair. They tried to talk us into trading it in for another vehicle because supposedly Ford Hybrid's have to get new batteries after approximately 100,000 miles and the batteries costs $10,000 plus labor - I can only imagine the labor costs for that! We won't be using this place again. Ever. read more

I just want to update my feelings on the ad and respondto the post by the dealership. It said "100% of original base MSRP..." There was no fine print, not even when I called did they tell me there was and I specifically asked what the stipulations were. Still didn't tell when I arrived for my appt. My car was not even checked out although that's what my appt was for. When I called to the other location I asked the same questions. Was actually given the ballpark price on the phone. But...even the staff there seemed surprised when they couldn't honor it. I resent being told I "misunderstood". I misunderstood nothing. As far as i'm concerned it was false advertising. I've now noticed they changed the ad and put fine print at the beginning of the ad to say "Up to". Obviously I'm not the only one who questioned it. Blaming it on the customer does not want me to ever recommend this dealership. WORST SERVICE EXPERIENCE EVER! There are 7 pages of bad reviews regarding the service department over a long period of time, and apparently NOTHING is being done about it except some glossed over comments from a business manager. My truck sat for 4 months before anyone called me to say "they needed a down payment before they could order the parts". I then paid and the parts arrived and yet 2 weeks later nothing has been done and their comment to me is "well, we have other trucks in here longer than yours". Really? how is that my problem? Sounds like you all need to get more mechanics, but probably don't want to pay anyone a decent wage so the consumer, me, suffers. I have NEVER had a company ask for more than half the money up front before doing anything, and even if, I would expect the service to be done promptly after such payment. Rich Ford service has ruined Ford's reputation and therefore I have a buyer for my Ford truck if Rich Ford will ever fix it and I have bought a Dodge Ram...much better truck and service. Meanwhile, as I wait for the sea of vehicles in the service department to get worked on BEFORE MINE, my biggest fear is that based on the terrible reviews of other customers that my truck will not be fixed right and continue to have problems. I was extremely unhappy with their service department. My truck was part of the Takata air bag recall, you know the one where the airbags could blow pieces of metal into your face if deployed? Anyhow, I called them up to see when I could get my truck in there to get this issue fixed, and I was told that this would be two-day repair and that Ford did NOT authorize a rental for the time that it would be in the repair shop. I explained to the woman that I spoke with that I would not be able to do this as I rely heavily on my truck for transportation to work. The lady in the service department told me that the best they could do to accommodate my repair and my work schedule would be for me to drop off my vehicle on a Friday and they would have it by the end of the day on Saturday. I explained to her that I would have to get out of work early to get my truck there, and the earliest I could have it in there would be at 430pm. I was told this was okay, and they would still be able to meet the deadlines as agreed. I get out of work early to take my vehicle in only to be told that they only have 1 airbag in stock, and that there would be no way possible for them to get my vehicle out any sooner than Tuesday. I voiced my frustration with them and was pretty much told "sorry that's just the way it is." I ended out getting in my truck and leaving. I called the main office to file a complaint and was only transferred back to the service department (no help). I even contacted Ford's national customer service center to file a complaint, which they did, but I still have not heard anything back. Overall, I was extremely happy with Rich Ford when I purchased my vehicle, but I am extremely dissatisfied with how I was treated by their service department. My recommendation to them is to stay true to your word. Your dishonesty and your failure to follow up or remedy the situation is not appreciated. I do not recommend wasting your time here. read more

Our sales guy was a little older, so we didn't really feel pressured, Truth be told, we knew what we wanted going in and used USAA to locate the truck at this dealership, so there was a little advantage on our end. We also had our finance pre-arranged, so again, we pre-empted the typical car sales BS. Decent inventory on the lot, and nice facilities. They had some good stuff in the show room, especially when it came to demonstrating my rolling tonneau cover. Made appointment online to take my company vehicle to fix a recall issue and get a oil change. Like I said, made appointment online, requested a shuttle that everything was set up. I sat there in their line for a good 30 minutes watch the donut lady come I was excited to get a doughnut when the garage opened at seven Service barely took the time to talk to me and tell me that they couldn't see me because I was in a company vehicle that I would have to go down to fleet vehicles but that's not what I signed up for so I had to go through their obstacle course of a parking lot to get over to Fleet where I ended up waiting 45 minutes for the shuttle which is already was requested in my original appointment. When I was moved over to Fleet, I asked the gentleman why they were moving me to Fleet am I not good enough to be with every day citizens and he said fleet would roll out the red carpet for me. We'll fleet didn't roll out nothing. I never got a donut and feel like they shooed me of because I'm in a work truck. read more

Those things should cost 80 dollars at most and I could have probably got it done for less than 50 dollars at other places! Also, the dealership knows all Ford Focus have transmission problems, so they just pretended to work on it until the warranty expired. Easiest car purchase of a lifetime. I ended up leasing a 2015 Escape. I got exactly what I wanted for a good price. The sales team were fantastic....however Frank was such a great salesman. He wasn't pushy... he was informative and really knew his stuff. When he didn't know the answer... he always found a resource to get the correct answer. I live out of state (AZ) and leased my car here because the service was so fantastic...plus i felt like i got a great deal. My only complaint would be that i completed all of my paperwork and went to drive the car off the lot and realized the A/C wasnt working. The were not able to fix it that night... but I drove the car back to AZ and hope to get the A/C fixed sometime this week at my local dealership. read more

Great experience with Rich Ford. Was looking at new Transit Connect on Edmund.com when they referred me to Rich Ford. Follow up call within the hour by John Bell, Commercial Account Manager, who showed me various options, making sure to listen to what I wanted. Turns out there was a Class C RV on site from trade-in. John worked with me and made sure my concerns were addressed, including on the RV itself. Couldn't have been better and I now have a RV! If I could give negative stars it wouldn't be enough to convey our experience with this Service Center. We broke down on I40 on a Friday night and had our truck and trailer towed off the highway in the wee hours of Saturday morning. Arrived at the Rich Ford service desk by 7 am Sat. They agreed the give us at least a diagnostic once over because the truck would not even crank. Tow service dropped the truck off by 8:30 and we sat in the dealership lot for 6 hours. Travis told us the computer is non-responsive and needs to be replaced, in their opinion. Based on the circumstances of the breakdown and the age of the truck , we did not buy that answer. He also told us it would take 14 days to get the parts. He suggested we take the truck to another diesel performance shop locally and he would not charge us for the diagnosis, but he also said his A Team mechanics could look at it Monday. We waited until Monday, arrived back at 12:00 and they had not even looked at it again. Now we ask for the keys back so we can tow it out to another shop and they proceeded to charge us $150 for the non-diagnosis they did. Long story short, the other shop had the truck running in 10 minutes after changing 3 fuses and found out the fan clutch needed to be replaced. Part replaced first thing Tuesday am and back on the road! Drove all they way to Chicago without issues, DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO RICH FORD!!! They want to sell you parts you don't need and won't fix your problems only to sell you more. read more

Poor and very shiesty company. All they do is lie to get the sale. They over price their vehicles and tell you that they have to make money. This is what happened to me: I found a Tundra at Rich Ford, great truck right? They told me it was a limited, but it was a base model. I signed all paperwork, but two days later they call and say they need an additional $4,800, as the bank wouldn't lend me the full amount; and I have a credit score over 700. I asked them why do you need so much more money? There response was, "we gotta make money". Come to find out that the bank would not lend more money than the truck was worth. They told me the truck was a limited edition, but after research it was a plain base model. I handed back the keys, but not before the little short guy kept and ran off with my keys! Talk about infuriating! A couple of days later, I went to QUALITY BY DI LORENZO, which is right down the street and found the truck of my dreams. I told them what I wanted to pay. They crunched some numbers, and I drove off with the best Tundra of them all, a 1794 Edition! The people at Rich Ford were horrible. I will NEVER go there AGAIN. First to Review I was recently in the market for a used car and saw a 2011 Mustang on the website at Rich Ford. It was a one owner car that was well maintained so I filled out an online app and was contacted by a young salesman named Patrick Smith. I have had some challenges in purchasing a vehicle and was already unable to make a deal at two other dealerships. They could not meet what I needed for a payment and trade in. Patrick Smith went above and beyond to get me into the vehicle that I wanted - the Mustang - and not just any old vehicle I could qualify for. He got me a lower interest rate than I could qualify for anywhere else and really listened to what I had to say. Everyone that I interacted with at the dealership was great to work with. Additionally, the finance officer Ryan really worked to make sure I was able to get into an affordable loan. I am very happy with my experience at Rich Ford and especially Patrick Smith and am really enjoying my new-to-me Mustang. read more

I bought a truck here back in November. I live out of state and searched all over the country to find a dealership that didn't mark up over msrp. After negotiating with Mike at Rich Ford, we came to an agreement. My Fiancé and I traveled about 800 miles and Mike picked us up at the airport. We got to the dealership and the truck had the wrong tailgate. They agreed verbally to knock off more of the price to account for the error. We get to signing the papers and noticed the price... they tried to charge us $1500 over msrp! The New Car Manager was called in and explained that ALL OF THEIR SALES ARE OVER MSRP and tried to convince us we are still getting a great deal. He repeatedly refused to look at my evidence of communication with his sales person. Knowing full well we were stuck there without a car, he went all in on a BAIT AND SWITCH tactic. After a while, he finally agreed to look at the evidence, and reluctantly agreed to the original negotiated price. He immediately stormed out of the office literally huffing and puffing, avoiding any eye contact. The entire process took 4 hours, and upper management made the car buying process an absolute nightmare. Our sales person we originally worked with was great and a pleasure to work with. As well as their finance team. But their upper management is why I am writing this poor review. The new car sales manager and director of sales repeatedly bashed and belittled the sales person we worked with in front of us. The cherry on top was when we got home, the tailgate had a huge dent that we didn't notice. This was our fault for not noticing it, but because the experience was so terrible my fiancé begged me to not call them about the dent. So we left with the wrong damaged tailgate, and the bait and switch resulted in us having to pay for the tailgate. read more

I am waiting to hear when my 1993 Ford Ranger will be diagnosed & fixed. I took it in on 10.7 and got it back on 1013. I informed them of several issues, and after $1400.00, with 4 days, the same issues, check engine light and high rpms when stopping, sluggish. Took it back, now after day 3, now it's going to get put on the "older machine". I took my truck there because they are "Ford" and should be the experts on their own vehicles. Tony, the rep, does communicate with me, I have to call a lot. But, seriously, it has a recent rebuilt engine, timing belt, and many other things. Concerned and want to share. Great place to buy a truck or get service on your ford. Bought my new 2017 F250 diesel and got a great deal and the service center has been great. Will buy again from Rich Ford. If you want to buy a diesel ask for Cage, he was my salesman and a former Ford diesel mechanic. So being my first diesel, he spend a lot of extra time teaching me about the 6.7 PowerStroke. He also delivered the truck to my house at 8:00pm on a Saturday night because I was out of town and didn't fly back to ABQ until 6:30 that evening. I bought a used VW Touareg from Rich Ford and the sales agent, Aaron Warden, told me that the tire pressure indicator was on but did not indicate any problem, that it just required adjustment by Discount Tire and that Rich Ford would reimburse me for any charges for that. It turned out that the tire pressure was excessively low and I had a serious blowout at night on Interstate 40. I was told by the company who changed the tire that the blowout was due to low pressure. After an unnecessarily long process, I was reimbursed by Rich Ford for the tire. Then I proceeded to try to get the tire pressure indicator fixed but it required replacement by VW. That had to be ordered and cost me $253. Since that time, I have been in touch with a manager, Justin Bowling, at Rich Ford who assured me this would get addressed and I would be reimbursed, but after several email exchanges, he is no longer responding. So both the sales agent and manager have behaved in an unprofessional way and I was basically lied to about the pressure gage. In addition to having a dangerous and frightening blowout, I have spent myriad hours trying to get this resolved (2 hours waiting for help with tire; several hours at Discount Tire getting new tire and trying to resolve pressure gauge issue; several hours at VW while waiting for pressure installation). As a professional myself, I would never treat a client in this way and I feel that I was purposefully misled by Mr. Warden and then ignored by both him and his manager. read more
