While traveling…read morethrough the Albuquerque area, my Jeep started sputtering smoke and missing, losing power near Bernalillo, NM. Diagnosis and repair were very good. The hourly rate is a little pricey but well-worth it compared to dealerships. And also worth the money for the professionalism and skills they have on staff. Fortunately, I called Anytime and Kit answered. I was told to bring it in although they were booked because it was urgent to get me on the road again. Well, after many mechanics have worked on the Jeep, the diagnosis of these problems concerning fuel system management has confounded many of them. I gave a little bit of history of the Jeep. And Matt went to work in between the regular scheduled work. Matt was professional, kind, understanding and thorough. He explained how he would approach the problem after listening to the history of repairs that I could remember. He used a reasonably advanced OBD2 diagnosis tool. Every time they started the SUV, it gassed them out of the shop. But they nailed down the problem after systematic logical diagnosis. There were 2 fuel injectors stuck wide open and dumping fuel into the cylinders. Fuel was dripping, splattering out my exhaust, totally dangerous! They ordered the parts (took the most time, not their fault) and fixed it swiftly. I appreciate Matt's logical approach solving this mystery. I was told, by other mechanics, it was the MAP sensor, O2 sensors, plugged catalytic converters, bad fuel pump, bad fuel filter. One mechanic at Sonny's Straight A's shop said he wasn't even willing to try to work on it and just to check the fuel rail pressure myself. I would definitely recommend working with Matt at this shop. I didn't run into any of the negative experiences that I saw on Yelp.

! CHECK ENGINE Alert dash light came along with sharp drop in MH power 40 miles East of Albuquerque…read moreimmediately before eastern summit climb and long, steep down grade into Albuquerque. Stopped on I-40 shoulder, Friday afternoon 3:30pm and googled/contacted Cummins Sales & Service of Albuquerque asking to speak with a tech if possible. Was immediately connected to 'Mike' (actually ultimately spoke with two different Mike's' over 2 calls) who both carefully explained various possibilities but without knowing the system codes(s) generating the Alert couldn't provide definitive solutions and recommended we drive (limp my word) to their facility Monday for 12 noon appointment. After a slow journey on old Route 66 and arriving at Cummins I met with Service Coordinator 'Tanner', very possibly the most kind, calm, knowledgeable and detailed Service individual I've ever experienced in my 80 years. After explaining the codes obtained from the MH he explained the problem and recommendations for correction, including estimated costs. I approved the work to be performed which ultimately would take one to two days depending on part availability. They allow us to remain in our MH overnight in their secured lot with electricity. Tanner was successful in locating and obtaining the part from another Cummins Service Center that afternoon and had it the next in Albuquerque. Tanner kept me informed along the way regarding both parts and service progress and never minded an interruption if I had an inquiry either. The bad part was replaced along with having another service I requested completed and we left the facility at 5:00pm Tuesday afternoon. WOW WOW WOW Although life's hiccups don't always go as smoothly as my encounter with Cummins in Albuquerque I must shout.......... MY EXPERIENCE WITH CUMMINS, TANNER, MIKE and TECHNICIAN STAFF ABSOLUTELY COULD NOT BEEN BETTER...PERIOD!!! THANK YOU

These days, it's more like a three week book out, which must mean business is good. For this particular visit, we had several mileage maintenance issues that needed to be addressed. We were given a list by the Ford Dealership, and we brought that in for a quote with Cedar Crest Tire. The Ford Dealership also noted that we had evidence of an engine oil leak. I made the appointment at the beginning of July, and I got in on July 20th. They have a key drop box that we were able to use and leave the vehicle there the weekend prior. I got a call on Tuesday afternoon that my vehicle was ready for pick up. On my way into town, I swung by to pay the bill and get the key. I know that they have a ride service available, but I hoped by daughter would help me with the ride. We looked over the invoice and didn't see anything addressing the engine oil leak. He got a hold of the technician, and he said there was no evidence of a leak. Before bringing in the vehicle, I did call back to add an emissions service to the list of items, and that one was overlooked, but I wasn't billed for it either. I feel like my correspondence with them have always been professional, and my vehicles have always been repaired.
