Yes, a friendly feline greets all of the customers, and if you are stressed out about waiting, or anything else, he'll come purrr in your lap. Topper Town definitely gets a full 5 stars from me! I ordered a LEER topper and a Bed Rug for my 2026 Tacoma, and turned it into a well insulated camper with "Windoor" ventilation, and auto lock/unlock (both are must-have options...). When I was considering ordering it I told Brenna (Sean's wife) that I had to do a pretty long trip in a few weeks, and needed to carry a lot of stuff with me that needed to be protected from the weather. But the shell would take appx. 6-12 weeks to arrive ... so she just says, "No problem! We'll just give u a FREE loaner shell until yours arrives." I replied, "You just got my business based on that!" Sean is extremely knowledgeable and adept at what he does, and he is very willing to share his passion for his business. It's actually becoming a 3rd generation business, as his father started it, and his daughter is being trained right now to eventually take over. I would call him a true engineer and a fabricator, because I have watched him work ... he even designed a way to make my tailgate way more comfortable to sit on when I go camping. If you have a problem that needs a creative solution, I'll bet he can figure something out. Brenna is definitely a master at the office side of the business. She is extremely knowledgeable, and knows her entire inventory by heart, and is kind, compassionate, patient, and impressive both on the phone and in person. She is a GREAT communicator. Just tell here basically what you want and then she will take the time to walk you through it all, and make sure you get what would serve you best. When my shell finally arrived, I went to pick it up, only to see that it was NOT the one that I had ordered accd. to the pics on the LEER website. At first I was a bit shocked and disappointed, but after some quick research it turned out that LEER had not updated its photos to include the 2026 Tacoma newly redesigned cap... It turns out that my truck was the first 2026 Taco that TT had installed, and so they were surprised too. So, Sean just says to me, "OK, since we didn't know, and we want you to drive away happy, I'll just comp. you another product." He gave me about 4 to choose from, and I took the mud guards, which I'm very happy with, and they look great on my truck. BTW, the newly designed shell is REALLY custom, and is designed to make your Taco look like an SUV ... and with the bed rug installed, your truck bed literally becomes a fully carpeted, knee-friendly SUV. Well, I purchased a 2022 Ford F250 with a snug top shell on it from the dealer. the rear glass window would not shut and lock. I pulled in a lot. There were some guys working on a truck inside the shop. They walked out and greeted me. I told them what's going on. Couple of the guys grab some tools from inside where they were working. And they adjusted all the locking brackets and fixed it. I could not believe they just stopped what they were doing to help me. I asked him how much I owed. He told me you know it's good man. Keep us in mind. If it's taking me awhile to get to this because I'm a busy person. But they treated me so well I need to make sure I get this out there. Purchased my second topper from topper town, this time a Leer 100XL cap. Unfortunately, with absolutely no fault of Topper Town or its employees, Leers quality control doesn't seem to be what it used too. Leer sent the cap with the wrong windows, there were some definitely poor workmanship issues with poor paint and gel coat defects as well as interior headliner not being properly attached with loose seams and loose screens on the windows. The owner of Topper Town and his employees did their absolute best and were more than patient with me even though the issues were with the manufacturer, not them. I would again highly recommend them for all your truck accessories. They are professional and understanding. I wouldn't purchase another Leer product though. I remember when Leer was considered the Cadillac of truck caps, not so much now from my recent experience. read more

They ordered the part I needed, R&R'd the rest of the windows and doors to minimize the leaks, and replaced the main seal on the truck bed. I was visiting family in New Mexico and the day I was supposed to leave, my Snug Top truck topper would not stay closed and I was anxious to drive home without being able to lock the back of my truck. I found Topper Town listed on the Snug Top website as one of only two authorized Snug Top dealers in all of New Mexico, so I figured if I needed replacement parts or anything, they would have it. I called in the morning and described my problem and they told me to come in and they would check it out. When I arrived, I was extremely impressed by the reception staff, a very friendly gray tabby cat and charming bulldog, who kept me occupied for a minute or two until the gentleman at the desk finished with the phone call he was on. He took a look at my problem, came back with a screwdriver and a wrench, tightened a few things, loosened a few things, bent the internal clasps back into place (I had inadvertently squished them slightly while trying to get the back to stay closed, oops!) and got the clasp and locking mechanism functioning better than when I got the truck three years ago! It only took a few minutes, but he didn't charge me and refused to accept a tip or anything, which I was so grateful for! Even though I live out of state, I would coordinate a visit with my family in New Mexico and make the 14 hour drive next time I need a new truck topper or maintenance on the one I currently have, just to support this excellent, family run, business. read more

I purchased my top back in March and it took the standard three weeks to come in. Once in, there was no phone call letting me know it had arrived but it had been there roughly four days. I went in to have it placed on my truck. After it was fitted, it was the wrong color. Associate advised to give it a couple months as the UV will "fade the color Rolf the topped to a darker color and match the color of the truck". I have never heard of the sun sending UV rays that will fade an auto paint to a darker color. But ok. I came back in two weeks because the install left my brake lights and turn signals inoperative. They said it was a bad switch and replaced it. I waited the two months recommended then came back to advise not only the sun not doing its job in fading to a darker color but also the wiring had again left my truck with the brake and turn signals inoperative. Topper Town representative took the top off to send back for repaint. I was told it would take 4-6 weeks for its return. Knowing the calling situation, at week 4, I called to ask status. Wasn't done yet. The next week, not done yet, the week after that, should be on the next shipment and arriving that Tuesday. Called on that Tuesday and was told the manufacturer was having a hard time matching the paint. They asked that we come down to their shop so they can remove the gas lid off the truck to send to the manufacturer for paint match. Went to their shop and they discovered the gas cap couldn't be removed so they took pictures of the truck instead. Said they would FedEx the pictures so the top would be expedited back to us. We advised Topper Town we were leaving in two weeks and needed the top for the trip. We were assured the top would be ready. After a week, we called for status (it was supposed to come in the Tuesday) but the driver delivering the top bypassed Albuquerque to go to California. Last call made while I was out of town said the top would be in by this week but just in case, they would have a white spare for our use for the trip. I went to the shop today (Monday) but they are closed. I will again drive over there because calling only allows excuse and excuse and excuse, to determine what the heck is going on. At this point, I am looking for a refund because this is absolutely insane! To date, I still don't have my top or any top and my right turn signal and brake light don't work .........again. This will be updated as soon as an update is made woefully apparent. UPDATE- I got a call today (Tuesday) expressing my top was in. After work I arrived and I could tell it had been a long day for them but just the same, it was a long day for all! They put the top on and the color matched. The brake light on the cab was working. Turn signal and brake light still no bueno. They tore the light apart and showed me what the causes may have been and honestly, it's not on them. Over all, the customer service is pretty good in the shop. I went with ATC and I would stay away from that brand as it makes Topper Town look bad. Maybe I'm not seeing the bigger picture but it's a hard pill to swallow waiting so long for a top that was not done right the first time. And again, it's more on ATC than it is on Topper Town. I'll do business again with them as I have had two previous cabs through them and this was the first and only unfortunate experience. read more

I was in the market for a topper/shell for my 2014 Ram truck. So I called them on the phone and A Gentleman named Mike answered the phone. I told him what I was looking for and he told me he had a black Painted Snug Top brand and a white ATC brand in stock. I told him I was only visiting Albuquerque for a day and would stop by. Upon arrival at the store I was met by the biggest and coolest cat I've ever seen (see photo). I was shortly greeted by Mike and found out he was the owner! He gladly showed me the two toppers he had in stock and he spent a great deal of time explaining the features and information for them both! It was close to closing time and Mike took the time to explain things well and I never felt rushed, even though it was almost closing time. We made a deal on the black SnugTop topper and even though they were booked the next day, he told me to come in early and they would fit me in.
