Stopped here for lunch before shopping on the weekend. Counter staff was very helpful picking something from the vast menu. Ordered the gangnam chicken bowl. It was pretty good with a nice sweet but spicy sauce. For a dish that had a Chilli by the name it was not as spicy as I thought it would be, but it still had some heat. But if your not a hot food person, dont be scared. You will be fine. All things considered it was a nice quite place for lunch. read more

I ordered takeout from Rice Bowl Deluxe and it absolutely hit the spot. Everything arrived hot, fresh, and packed properly which already puts them ahead of half the places out there. We had the seafood laksa, tom yum soup, and a few starters, and every dish was full of flavor with seriously generous portions. The broth in both soups was rich and comforting, and you can tell they don't cheap out on ingredients. Perfect comfort food, especially when the weather sucks and you just want something satisfying. Service was fast, food quality was consistent, and the value for what you get is excellent. Definitely one of those spots you end up craving again the next day. Easy 5 stars. Will 100% be ordering again. read more

I went for a ny steak bowl after my flight back from bc, as I live in the Edmonton callingwood area. They were out of steak and have been for quite a while due to ordering issues. They suggested I get it with Korean beef rib but proceeded to try and charge me for the sesame sauce. I explained that I was getting the ny steak bowl subbed meat from there lack of stock. They insisted I had to pay for the sauce, so we all left from the silliness of the matter. Deluxe rice bowl callingwood has always been professionally lacking in this manner. I remember when they first opened in Callingwood, they wouldn't sub anything whether it was rice, veg, or meat, and you still can't sub your protein. They have poor customer service and enthusiasm to meet a customers needs from the very start, their professionalism has always been lacking and poor. I've tried to have this conversation with a female that has been there from the beginning numerous times but you can't explain any common sense into anyone there. read more

Disappointed in the lack of customer service we received from rice bowl. We ordered the katsu pork curry rice bowl, it didn't come with sauce or curry which it is supposed to come with on the menu it's says that it comes with (carrots, potato and Japanese sauce) but it only had the meat and rice. We called them to ask if we could come pick up some sauce or something and they said there was nothing they could do to help us. We order from rice bowl often as it's our favourite place, but we will be looking elsewhere from now on read more

Long story short, food poisoning and 5 days in hospital in October 2022. November 14 and I'm still not back to normal function. When the 104 st manager was informed, he was disinterested and defensive, suggesting I had made myself sick. Apparently he knows more than the three U of A doctors that helped me. Food arrived looking fine on top, but half way in it turned into a hard gelatinous mess of noodles. Someone else's leftovers?? read more

This noodle and rice fast food chain is amazing for their portion size. The flavours are nicely done and with a little chilli sauce it leaves your taste buds tingling. I enjoy coming here mainly due to the convenience of it being right next to my gym. For a large serving of noodles it will cost you $13. There is probably enough for two lunches or a dinner for one. The restaurant has plenty of seating and you order off their menu fast food style. There is frozen yogurt available for dessert. The restaurant is also really clean which I appreciate with friendly staff. Give this place a try, it always leaves my taste buds tingling! read more

I got takeout from here and it was SO good I'm seriously tempted to get it again tonight! We had the seafood laksa, and a ton yum soup (because its totally soup weather right now) with some starters. All the dishes were amazing and huge portions with the only exception being the fried chilli tofu, which had no spice at all. Otherwise I would be smashing out a solid 5 star for these guys right now, and may update it in the future after I undoubtedly eat here again, probably this week read more

I was feeling a little under the weather and figured a trip to Rice Bowl Deluxe would be a great way to beat the tickle forming in my throat. I decided on ordering the green onion cakes and the tom yum soup. The green onion cakes were good, crispy on the outside and slightly chewy on the outside. Pretty standard for these type of places. The tom yum soup was good, but nothing great. Now I didn't truly expect authentic tom yum but this soup was lacking a little bit. The only veggies that were included were broccoli and mushrooms, along with the addition of tofu. The broth was good, not as spicy as I prefer but I like things really hot. The service was quick. I walked in and most of the tables were full and there were three orders ahead of me. From time of order until I was walking out the door with my food was just a little over 5 minutes. I would stop back in to try one of the rice bowls that look delicious. Overall the food was good, fresh and tasty. Not too bad for a pop up eatery. read more

I love this place, I've been ordering through ubereats all summer but now that I've moved back to the Park it takes a special trip. Their location is in an annoying parking lot but the inside is very nice. They have a ton of selection but I'm personally obsessed with the Korean Gangnam Chicken.... sometimes I order two so I have lunch for a couple days. read more

Tried the jumbo coconut shrimp. I found the too greasy and only ok. I did enjoy the honey curry dip. I will come back sometime in the future and try one of the rice bowls as quite a few reviews said they were quite good and looked really good when I saw them. I found the seating surprisingly comfortable for basically a modern picnic table. read more

When you're not sure what type of Asian food you'd like to eat. This restaurant has Asia's greatest hits. All tasty and pretty authentic. I've had pho, coconut fried shrimp, gyoza, pad Thai, Singapore noodles and the onion cake so far. My least favourite was the pad thai. Huge value for the price I could share one bowl and be very satisfied. Very clean modern establishment friendly service and they have frozen yogurt and bubble tea as well. read more

Stopped by on saturday afternoon, ordered the small wonton soup which was under 8 bucks, it comes with 4 wontons and brocalli and green onions, the large order has 8 wontons I was told for under 13 bucks. There were 5 people in the restaurant one waiting for her take out order, and 4 others eating. While waiting for the small wonton soup, checked the menu and seen they have several new menu items, so I decided to order the bbq pork entree for 12 bucks. I got the bbq pork order first and the realized the soup had been waiting to be picked up but they didnt call. I seen it sitting on the serve counter but thought it was someone else order. It was not busy in the place. The soup was a cloudy broth which is not a wonton soup, but it did come with the 4 wontons promised, the new item bbq pork was about 9 medium sliced pieces that were very fatty and greasy. So for almost 19 bucks not worth the food quality or quantity. With 3 staff standing around the service was also very poor. Assuming the food and stock are frozen and powdered, just go home and spend 12 minutes in the kitchen and save yourself a 20.00 bill. China town shops has great bbq pork for about 5 bucks the same amount and you can pick the pieces you want. If this place would be busy maybe food quality would go up, along with the service. seek else where and you will find much better. Love the menu options but they did not deliver. read more

Slow service and terrible food quality. After waiting around 15 minutes for my order of Speedo chicken, I got a bowl of slightly warm rubbery chicken, and some poorly cooked rice. I do not recommend his place. It marks the first time I've ever walked out of a restaurant without eating more than a few bites. read more

My group came here recently for lunch and we enjoyed bubble tea and various different bowls. I had the thai green curry bowl and it was delicious though I would have probably preferred less sauce or more rice. It was delicious. The bubble tea was decent. We were served pretty quickly. I wish that there was less packaging on the food, but otherwise it was delicious. I think overall we all had more sauce than necessary from our various meals. I would return as it was a good meal. read more

Rice Bowl Deluxe offers a great range of choices - not just rice bowls, but noodle bowls, soups, and appetizers. I really love their Pad Thai and Tom Yum Soup. The ingredients are fresh, the noodles are cooked perfectly, and I love being able to choose my choice of protein. Their bubble tea menu is great as well since you can choose your milk preference and pick from a large selection of flavours. I'd recommend coconut or piña colada - delicious!! read more

I got one of those take out menus on my mail the other day, so on my way home, I decided to stop at Rice Bowl Deluxe. The atmosphere is great. The place is very modern and very clean. I ordered the Szechuan Beef Rice Bowl ( it comes with rice, onions and bell peppers) and I found it to be very yummy. The beef was at the top in a see through plastic bowl and the rice was at the bottom in the bigger bowl. I like the way that the meal is set up since I like to add the meat onto the rice as I eat it. All bowls are $9.29-10.29 Except: veggie bowl- $7.29 and kid's teriyaki bowl $5.29 read more

Delivery: food always arrived within 30 minutes of ordering. If you live close by, your food will arrive hot. Bubble tea will arrive in a bag of ice so it is nice and cold! To the reviewer who complained about the service, the campus map is extremely confusing and was unreasonable in her expectations that the driver should be able to figure it out. Food: pretty good for a place that offers a variety of asian cuisines. Their curries and stew are quite good, as well as their fried meats (Japanese pork and coconut shrimp). I felt their Chinese and Vietnamese bowls were weak- chow fun noodles had a weird ginger taste and much better at Buddy's across the street, and I would probably not order their Vietnamese noodle bowl again. Their pad thai has been consistently decent, though some days a little too sweet. Overall, great place with reasonable prices. The food is well cooked and I love the variety. My new go to place when needing a quick delivery for dinner! read more

I am so surprised I haven't reviewed this place yet! I LOVE Rice Bowl Deluxe. It is a great alternative to other Asian fast food places like Edo, Mongoli Grill, Tokyo Express etc. as there are just so many options to satisfy whatever your are craving. While they are called Rice Bowl Deluxe, they do have a number of noodle bowls to choose from as well. As an office, we go there for lunch often because everyone always finds something that they are craving and overall the food is pretty consistent. There have been times where my meat is a bit too grisly for my liking, but not enough that I can really complain. Having been as many times as I have, I've been able to sample quite a few bowls, and by far the Thai Green Curry is still my favorite. The food comes in two separate steamers so you mix the meat/veggies with the rice or noodles. It's especially nice with the curry bowl because if I only plan on eating half, I can control how much sauce gets on the rice and have delicious left overs. I think it is great value for what you get, and the quality has always been great. They also have FroYo but because I never have any room left over I haven't tried any yet! read more

Rice Bowl Deluxe - Menu is big, bright, and easy to read - Chinese Near Me - Edmonton, Alberta

I actually was stopping at the organic market next door, and see this rice place. I decided heck I am hungry try something new. This place is really great. The ingredients are like as promised, and fresh. This is some of the best rice I have every had. It is as good as what I had, in Hong Kong. I had the Korean BBQ chicken bowl and you get it in to seperate bowl steamers. I really loved it, and my Grandpa would of loved it as well. Its kind of a old country thing. I dont have much complanints really, except when they promote healthy food...they dont really have that in a drink option. Overall this is a great place. We stopped into Rice Bowl Deluxe for supper last night (Monday) and tried a couple of their rice bowls. The service was quick and the food was hot and fresh. We ordered the szechuan beef (with peppers and onion) and chicken fried rice. I loved how the beef was served in a tray that sat in the bowl on top of the rice, so you can eat them separately. The beef was perfectly cooked and the rice was not dry (an issue I encounter often). There was also plenty of sauce. The Chicken fried rice was maybe the best fried rice we've ever had. The chicken was tender and not over cooked. Both dishes were flavorful and plentiful. The vegetables were cooked just enough. We went with bottled drinks, but they also have smoothies and Yogurt. The place was very clean and very modern. The staff were polite and attentive, though they sometimes seemed to stare at customers. There are two washrooms with an outside sink in between the doors, which almost seemed odd at first, but was practical. We will definitely be back again. For less than $25 for two people, it was a pretty good value. read more

For fast food, we were impressed with how fresh the food was. The menu offers a lot of options! Hubby ordered the Filipino garlic ribs and I ordered the Cantonese sweet and sour. Both were super tasty! Veggies in my meal were really crisp and fresh. I also liked that the meat was not served directly on the rice. The place is clean and service was good. Prices are higher (about $10 per meal) than let's say Edo, but the taste and quality are worth the few extra dollars. Will have to try the bubble tea next time. Our little one has froyo for dessert and she gave it 2 thumbs up. read more

Stay away from the butter chicken and lemon chicken. They are both served with super fatty chicken. On top of the skin being left on (under a sauce skin turns rubbery), there was a lot of fat and fascia not cut off. I got it home and actually got back in my car and returned for a refund, it was that bad. The owner/manager kept defending his fatty chicken and never apologized. The cashier did the apologizing. Mr. manager, you should be embarrassed! read more

We loved the curry shrimp so much I wish I had gotten a curry bowl. The rice bowls we ordered were good the only thing was there seemed to be an oil on everything? Not necessarily grease but it was odd. We will be back for the curry for sure. read more

Clearly the staff is underqualified. I ordered 2 items, a butter chicken and Pho. when got there they missed the Pho? I ordered from this place through Uber Eats. The food was delicious. I was a big fan of everything I had: The Shanghai Pork Bowl with Bok Choy rice, the jumbo coconut shrimp, and the dragon eye roll. Ordered the Korean beef bbq rib bowl, had no ribs in it and the meat was 80% fat, worst food I had in Edmonton. The manager was rude and started arguing that the food was good enough when I complained. I wouldn't serve that crap to my dogs. Wouldn't go back even if they offered me a free meal. When we went here it looked nice and clean inside. And a good place to grab a bite. Once we got our food it was horrible. Chicken didn't resemble chicken. Tasted microwaved and bland. I honestly had microwaved food taste better. I'm not a picky eater, was hungry but couldn't eat it. Took 2 bites of mine and tried my boyfriends and left. Both of our dishes were awful. We were the only ppl in there at the time and being that we left soon after trying our food you think would tell them something. I regret not saying something to the owner before leaving as we threw away money on a poor quality product. I can't imagine anyone eating here. No exaggeration. It was really that bad. They better clean up their act else I can't imagine it being open much longer. read more

We've eaten here many times, even back when they were upstairs on 149 Street. We fell in love with a number of their signature dishes and enjoyed the new entries as well. I have found that the food quality has slightly declined over time and this last visit was disappointing. We had the Teriyaki chicken bowl and Satay shrimp bowl. Both came with sauce on the side, and a measly portion at that. Some may like getting the sauce on the side, but that should be on request only. If I wanted to take ingredients and mix them up I would stay home and do that. read more

Service at this location is absolutely terrible. Been here several times and the wait time for even just a bubble tea when they aren't even busy is unacceptable. Many times the staff are unpacking boxes or off talking and not working when people are waiting. Have been to this location a few times for the mixed fruit bubble tea. It has been very good and it has made me return however today it was ordered and it was terrible. Girl who made it looked like she was in training and must have made it wrong. Tastes like watered down milk with no fruit flavour. Undrinkable - total waste of money. If I hadn't left the store and wasn't stuck stuck in traffic I would have taken it back it was so bad. Now will not return to this location as if they have someone new training they should be watching them and ensure their menu is made correctly. read more

When our first choice for a grab and go lunch was closed on a Sunday we were pleased to come across rice bowl deluxe. It's a cute, modern restaurant with a number of enticing choices. I'm a sucker for pictures on the menu board and each dish is accompanied by a photo so you know what to expect. We tried the green curry with chicken, pad thai with tofu and szechuan beef. They were all flavourful and hit the spot. Any of the dishes can be ordered with tofu which means there are still lots of options for our veggie friends. I thought the take out container design was pretty smart. The rice and curry are kept separate to be combined as you eat. It was quite a large portion and made it easy to keep for leftovers. We were also offered sample cups to try the frozen yogurt. There were some interesting flavours including butter popcorn which were surprisingly... okay. read more

The long and short of it is that I ordered from this business on Saturday and a few hours after I ate my meal (Deluxe Dragon Eye Roll and Watermelon Bubble Tea), I suffered the worst food poisoning of my life. I have never written a Yelp review before but I promised myself that as I lay clinging to the toilet , sweating and vomiting up my insides, I would go online and try to see to it that no one suffer the same pain that I was going through. Over the course of about 24 hours I threw up several times and with such ferocity that the capillaries under my eyes ruptured. My apologies but this isn't a pretty review with flowery writing. To be fair, I have eaten here before without incident but this experience was beyond unacceptable. I don't know what happened in their kitchen but I really hope they take this review as an opportunity to improve. Thank you. read more

My wife and I went to eat there 3 weeks ago. We are both Vegan. Asked our questions and where assured that our choices on their menu where Vegan without fish sauce, Meats, or dairy of any kind. The guy who worked behind the till even said he has relatives who eat there because of the Vegan options on the menu. So today we where in the area since it's right beside Planet Organic and decided to give it another try. Today we where informed by two different people behind the counter that they offered NO VEGAN Options! WTF? Everything they have is based off of a chicken broth! So not only did we not eat there....but apparently they LIED to us 3 weeks ago in order to sell us bowls of soup? So, NO....We will NEVER be back. Pisses me off so much that their staff doesn't take this seriously. read more

We get Rice Bowl every few weeks now. It's close by and in a good location. We have tried many items on their menu and all have been really good. It's nice that they separate the rice on the bottom for the rice bowls since we usually take it to go. It's not greasy like a lot of other Chinese food. The staff is always friendly and the service is speedy. The place is clean and has a nice atmosphere. The prices are a bit high for fast food. Overall, it's a great place. read more
