I have had many vehicles towed in the past and never had a problem with any service guy that came out to help me. The other night I need a tow and.Ricci's came and it was obvious the vehicle need to be towed, but it was 10:55pm and the driver would not tow it because he said he was off at 11 PM. This company claims they are a 24 seven towing service and they would not tow it. I argued with the driver. He was so pissed that he jumped out of the truck and chest bumped three times. I would highly recommend another towing service. read more

Initiated a battery check via the AAA app. Said it would take about 1.5 hrs, but Ricci's arrived in about 20 minutes. The tech was great, started my car and we were done in 5 minutes. Me and 2 others Watched the driver scratch my brand new paint job s2000 front lower spoiler. Before he scratched my front lower spoiler I was telling him to stop and he just kept on going and says to me I have pictures. My paint job cost me 10k you think I'm worried about a 100 dollar tow? He called me a liar thinking I wanted a free tow? I just had the car painted for a few days I don't need anything from your company other than a tow. I called them specifically for a car that's low. On Tuesday, June 10, 2025, my husband was in a motorcycle accident and either the State police or Macedon police called Ricci's for towing. According to the bill I received, someone named Rach picked up the bike. There were no problems with wheels or tires, yet the bike was dragged from someone's front yard up on the truck on its side doing more damage than what was done in the accident. The bike was taken to the impound lot on route 31F. My daughter and son-in-law stopped a few hours after the accident to pick up the bike, they were told that they couldn't have it because the paperwork was locked in the building and they would have to come back the next morning. Ricci's had the bike for approximately 18 hours, but they charged us for 2 days of storage. To make things even worse, the driver also left the bike on its side at the impound lot, causing the oil and gas to leak out. Doing this removed a large amount of paint from the gas tank, right down to the bare metal. Now the gas tank has to be either replaced or repainted. As I said, the wheels and tires were alright, and the kickstand was fine so there was no reason to drag the bike out on its side or leave it that way. If it were possible to give them less than one star, I would. read more

Yesterday afternoon I discovered that my car, which was scheduled for repairs at a dealership, would not start. AAA sent a Ricci tow vehicle. He arrived quickly, diagnosed the problem as the battery, and called AAA for a batter truck - also a Ricci truck. Before leaving he confirmed that the battery service was on its way. Initially called to tow a truck in December, however, they hooked it up wrong and the truck slid into a telephone pole, on State Route 5&20 at the Canandigua bypass. Shady people took advantage of an older woman. Inspection was illegal- our current mechanic won't let us drive it off their lot because it's unsafe. Recommend different, competent towing services, at least in the Canandaigua area. read more

I screwed up and was mowing a little too close to hill on my tractor and nearly flipped it. Due to the incline, I couldn't get it out on my own. I called towing services in the area. 2 didn't answer, 1 said they were to busy to help me, and Ricci's was here in about 30 minutes. Patrick recovered my Kubota with no major damage. I was VERY pleasantly surprised that this tow company was so easy to work with. They told me that someone would be there in 25 minutes, and they were there right on time! The man who came was very friendly and the whole process was quick, easy, and professional. He was also wearing a mask (COVID-19) during our interactions, so another plus for professionalism! Ricci's towed my car after an accident last week. The Sheriff called for the tow so I didn't really have a choice who was used. Upon arrival, the gentleman asked for my car key which he immediately put into his mouth while he used his hands to grab various items such as his pants, a pen, etc. You can imagine my initial horror; that my car key is now inside the mouth of a man I don't know, but especially because I'm 8 months pregnant and hygiene affects both my health and my babies health. After I pushed aside my initial disgust, I then thought to myself, 'That key is totally going to get lost'. No tag was placed on the key, no receipt was given to me identifying my car key.... I was given a business card and watched him throw my key inside my vehicle from the driver side door. Fast Forward to several days later when my car needs to go to a collision shop, where my key INDEED WAS LOST. The third party company that came to retrieve my vehicle from Ricci's was only given a receipt and no key... when they showed up later that day to inquire where my key was, so that ultimately my car could be opened, the owner's son confessed he didn't know where the key was and they would 'need to look for it'. Because my key was never tagged or identified internally, and because the employees/ownership have a serious lack of judgment and care for quality service, I had to make separate trips to give my spare key. I also had to arrange to get a new key made and paid for, for which Ricci's never offered to compensate me for. All while 8 months pregnant. The local Sheriffs office has a contract with them, and when I complained to them directly about my experience they acknowledged the consistent poor service and stated they didn't have a choice in the matter. There is nothing fun about knowing you are going to need a tow; you call AAA and wait 3 hours, tow truck shows up and is missing something needed, its expensive. But my experience with Riccis was by far some of the best I have ever seen. I had to do some work on a back lot of our farm, 400 yards off the pavement, over a hill and through the woods, 1/4 mile from grandmothers house we went. i was buried up to my sub frame without a winch long enough to pull from solid ground. I didn't need a tow, i needed a recovery. i called these guys up just to see how it all works, and called them back to schedule a time to get them out the following day to not screw up their evening as it was already 10 at night when i gave up on my own efforts. They were there by 1130 that night with 4 trucks, and the full crew. 20 minutes later i was driving my truck back home at an incredibly reasonable rate....there is a reason these guys are the #1 recovery service i the area read more

Apartment complex uses this service for unauthorized parking. Came home twice to somebody in my space. Would need to park extremely far away just to get home. Called ricci's and was hung up on 6 times. If you're not 24/7 don't advertise that way.
