I was expecting a small 1-2 oz side portion. Boy! I think it was pint of sauce. I literally dipped like 4 times. I hated to waste all that sauce cause it was really good. Got back to the hotel to enjoy my lunch. Opened up the containers and no potato salad. Little disappointed. The beans were good. Mac and cheese cold so I decided to save it for later. Brisket was nice and tender and had a lot of smoke flavor. A little too much for me but i still enjoyed it. The ribs were fall off the bone. I'm not saying this is what happened but this is what I thought. I thought the rib meat was placed in the box with the bone next to it so you could see it was a rib. lol. The first few bites were very dry and tough. The rib meat underneath was a bit more tender. Later, when I reheated the Mac and cheese it was good. Had some sweetness too it that I'm not used to but it was good. I would visit again to try other things on the menu. The phone is constantly busy, and half the time the restaurant is closed while their system still accepts online orders. It's extremely frustrating. On the rare chance you can place an order, the portions are pretty small for the price. The food tastes great, but what's the point if customers can't ever get any? Emma's BBQ needs to update their hours, answer the phone, and stop accepting orders when they're closed. I'm tired of trying to support a spot that makes it this hard to give them business. They told us they will not sell us a kids meal because we had no kid with us. Wow! Way to lose a customer! I personally don't understand that concept because the many surrounding restaurants in downtown bremerton have sold me a kids meal without a child with us. I can walk over to McDonald's for a cheaper kids meal than what Fritz here was selling theirs for, and McDonald's comes with a drink! It's $11.50 here with no drink. Ha! It's alright in there.
