Took me a minute to figure out parking. I saw there was a drive through but I was hoping to get out of the rain and sit down to some warm food. I didn't realize it was a carry out only. Very friendly gentleman working that day. Told me he had just taken the brisket off the grill. Oh boy! That's what I was there for. Ordered a two way combo with brisket, ribs, Mac and cheese, and potato salad. It came with two rolls. He asked if I wanted BBQ sauce. Yes please on the side. I was expecting a small 1-2 oz side portion. Boy! I think it was pint of sauce. I literally dipped like 4 times. I hated to waste all that sauce cause it was really good. Got back to the hotel to enjoy my lunch. Opened up the containers and no potato salad. Little disappointed. The beans were good. Mac and cheese cold so I decided to save it for later. Brisket was nice and tender and had a lot of smoke flavor. A little too much for me but i still enjoyed it. The ribs were fall off the bone. I'm not saying this is what happened but this is what I thought. I thought the rib meat was placed in the box with the bone next to it so you could see it was a rib. lol. The first few bites were very dry and tough. The rib meat underneath was a bit more tender. Later, when I reheated the Mac and cheese it was good. Had some sweetness too it that I'm not used to but it was good. I would visit again to try other things on the menu. I did let him know I was missing something sweet. . . like a peach cobbler or sweet potato pie. lol. read more

Emma’s BBQ - 2 way dinner combo with brisket and ribs, Mac and cheese, beans, and rolls. - Barbeque Near Me - Bremerton, Washington

I really wanted to support this place because the food is good when you can actually get it. Honestly, it's almost impossible. They are never open, even when their hours online say they are. The phone is constantly busy, and half the time the restaurant is closed while their system still accepts online orders. It's extremely frustrating. On the rare chance you can place an order, the portions are pretty small for the price. The food tastes great, but what's the point if customers can't ever get any? Emma's BBQ needs to update their hours, answer the phone, and stop accepting orders when they're closed. I'm tired of trying to support a spot that makes it this hard to give them business. Crazy work. read more

Food is absolutely delicious. Meat is smoky and tender, I picked mild sauce and it's a great BBQ flavor. They are cash only, though there may be someone there that knows how to work the square machine. If not, they have an atm inside. I knocked a star off because the prices are a bit high for being a cash only establishment. My plate was $21 and that does not include a drink. (The hot link made the plate more than $20) However the owner inside comped a drink for me since I initially wanted to pay with card. All in all, can't complain at all about the food. It really is scrumptious!! read more

Emma’s BBQ - Pulled pork sandwich with a SPIKE (hot link) bbq baked beans and potato salad - Barbeque Near Me - Bremerton, Washington

Owners have been known for good BBQ in a couple of places. I'm sure you will recognize them. My wife and I shared the $34.99 3 meat plate. We got beans and coleslaw as our sides. Food was good I'm going to say the ribs were the highlight. Coleslaw was sweet and tangy. Soft open, mask required, great food for West Bremerton right next to cookies. read more

We enjoyed the ribs from Emma's BBQ. I will visit again to try sandwiches and other BBQ items, as I am big on supporting local. I will likely pass on the Macaroni and Cheese going forward, despite it typically being my favorite side with BBQ. Unfortunately, the Macaroni and Cheese fell short to me, and to the two others that tried it as well. read more

Just from my one experience I thought it was excellent. No fat in my sandwich. Great Sauce. Beans and potato salad were good. I don't know what people expect, maybe it's a city thing. I'm a truck driver and been all over the country trying BBQ. This is worth the stop. read more

Overpriced! Ordered pulled pork dinner ($25) basically some cut up fatty ribs (I hate fatty ribs), canned beans, potato salad and a store bought dinner roll. Never had to pull my own pulled pork off the bone until we tried this place. The pork was mostly fat and bone! Will never go back to this bbq joint! read more

Emma’s BBQ - Pulled pork mostly fat and bones! - Barbeque Near Me - Bremerton, Washington

They had a sample offer when driving by and since we live near by, wanted to give it a try. The sample was a pulled pork sandwich. The barbq sauce had good flavor, but a bit too much sauce so you couldn't taste the quality or taste of the smoke in the meat. The roll was a Winco Hot Dog bun. They had stacks of Winco buns. Hopefully that is temporary and they don't plan on charging premium prices for food served on Winco buns. It fell apart instantly from the sauce. Ribs are normally my thing but their prices are insane so won't get to try them. Still worth driving to Smokin Robinsons vs the place in my back yard. lastly, they only accept cash which is a big negative. Willing to give it another try, but not at the current prices. read more

Food is extremely expensive. Foods not great the portions are small and you'll still be hungry after. Definitely wouldn't go there again.

I was on my way to get Chinese food until I drove past this location and got a whiff of the smoker. I knew right then and there I'm eating at this place tonight. I ordered the beef brisket sandwich and a slab of ribs. The brisket and ribs were so good, I didn't need any sauce . Seasoned to perfection . The lady inside was so sweet and had excellent customer service. I will definitely visit again. read more

Wish I'd read reviews before spending almost $30 on brisket dinner. The brisket, while a good-sized portion, was horribly fatty, and tough and stringy. Part of the toughness might have been due to the fact that they had carved the meat improperly, not cross-grain as is mandatory for fibrous meats like brisket. The 'spicy' sauce had zero heat and featureless flavor. I tasted the coleslaw before ordering, it was awful, so I opted for potato salad and the obligatory beans. Got 2 pieces of sliced store-bought white bread with the meal and a tiny sliver of a very good dill pickle. That tiny pickle was the best part of the meal! Overall, extremely disappointing. Even the smoke on the meat was borderline. I'll stick to eating at BBQ2U in Gig Harbor. read more

I have read the reviews , but tried this place despite the low rating. I am very glad I went because the BBQ is amazing. I ordered a pound of brisket and finished it in one sitting. Service may be slow, but the food was amazing...as long as you go in knowing that, you will enjoy stopping in to Emma's read more

Canned pork and beans, yuck, ribs over cooked, way overpriced. I would go back if it was offered free of charge.

Prices are truly stunning--like, I don't understand how they maintain enough customers to stay in business. When they handed me the menu I initially thought they only served banquet portions, and I had to confirm the dinners and combos were single entrees. The two-meat combo offered two selections and choice of two sides; that plus one drink came to just over $40 with tax. It was definitely enough meat for leftovers or two light eaters to share, but the sides weren't containers--they just filled the side portions of a single-meal styrofoam takeout tray. Chicken and ribs were tasty and tender; sides were unexceptional. I see that another reviewer posted the menu seven months earlier than my visit--my purchase was the same price as back then--so recent inflation is not a factor. read more

I hate complaining but holy shit... Now let me say this, the lady working was a very nice person and has good customer service. Now let me tell you, I never felt so let down and played in my life. Spent $8 on a side of literal craft Mac n cheese that is easily made better at home. $20 on a "hot link" dinner. Just ballpark hotdogs cut in fours, store bought potato salad with pickle put on top. Also had the brisket dinner, wasn't terrible, I have had worse and gave good amount of food. It had more fat than it should have but okay at best. Definitely $24 worth, I get meat prices went up but this is just over the top. Total cost for 2dinners Mac n cheese and can of soda, $59.80. Either cut ur prices in half or just do better. read more

Ordered rib sandwich and brisket sandwich. Ribs were absolutely amazing and brisket was good in itself but not as much of a highlight as the ribs. Sides were disappointing I must admit: potatoe salad and beans were store bought I am assuming because the Mac and cheese was from a teeny frozen dinner tray that we saw microwaved then transferred to a to-go container, this didn't sit well with me due to the insane price of $8. I assumed it'd be homemade due to the high price of the side and that was disappointing seeing what I paid versus provided (honestly felt a little ripped off). Basically meat and sauces are the only homemade item from what I can see, sides and buns are store bought. If I had a recommendation for retaining customers it would be to lower prices since the only thing of actual quality and price somewhat correctly is the meat. There are options to just buy the meat alone and although meat is pricey I think I'd do this again for the ribs but not too often then I'd just make or get my own sides. Would like to emphasize although there were disappointing aspects of this place the ribs were quite good though! read more
