It is a drive through Asian food restaurant for super easy access. That is a super appealing feature for me. They have a pretty extensive menu with enough variety that should satisfy most people. Most of their stir fry is a bit soggy and basic in flavor, but generously portioned. The teriyaki is ok. I like the lumpia much better than their egg rolls. There's just something about the crunch and crispiness of their lumpia versus the sogginess of the egg rolls. This has got to be some of the worst food locally. I needed a bite in a pinch and got the closest thing to me which was regrettably this spot. I got the small chicken bowl which came out to about 12 bucks. It was maybe one entire chicken thigh served at room temp with a ton of rice and piping hot veggies. The rice was unseasoned and the veggies were swimming in grease. I threw out the entire thing because it was inedible. Prices may be higher but you can't just serve garbage like this. Have driven by a few times and finally went in to grab some lunch. Interior was very dingy and smelled like cleaning supplies so we opted Togo. Ordered the bento box with tempura and the teriyaki chicken with gyozas. The teriyaki chicken was good, tempura was very good except the zucchini which was cut to thick making it hard in the middle. The gyozas were just some cheap frozen gyozas as well as the egg roll, fried up and overcooked! The rice was good as well as the little salad you receive. I gotta say first of all I LOVE that this is drive-thru terryaki place. You don't see many of those and its nice to have a drive-thru that is not fast food or coffee. Expands your options if you don't want to get out of your car. I will say thought the location of the menu board and speaker box is a bit confusing. Looking at the building from the street enter the from the right side of the building. Then keep driving past the building and just beyond the building on the right hand side is the entrance to a tiny turn around which is where the menu and speaker board are. I ordered the Orange Chicken with Fried Rice. And 2 egg rolls The orange chicken was actually amazing. Not your run of the mill orange chicken but actually mixed in with some veggies which also took on the orange flavor and I loved that. The Fried rice was a bit bland and honestly burnt. However a positive was that it looked like the rice they used was a bit bigger grain than the normal fried rice you might get at another place. The Egg Rolls were good but are the size of Spring Rolls. But the flavor was great. All in all good experience. Will be back read more

'Tempura' shrimp was thickly coated, not tempura battered, with raw dough on the inside and extremely over cooked and chewy shrimp. Gyoza were not gyoza, rather deep fried pre-fab potstickers. Same for egg roll and cream cheese won tons. Won tons are supposed to be light and flaky, not thick and hard and still doughy on the inside. Katsu sauce was a gravy. Meat was super thin and dry. Didn't ever get a notification that it wasn't coming but looked at the order at about 805 and it said the order was cancelled. Total bummer! Can't find out why the order was cancelled thru Uber. Totally willing to update this review if my question is ever answered but tonight I guess I'm kinda emotional and hungry. Came here with a friend. I ordered the Teriyaki, he got the Orange Chicken. We both came in not expecting much. We were both surprised how well made food was, the Orange Chicken was my favorite, it had the right amount of spiciness. The teriyaki we noticed was smoked with charcoal or something else similar to that. They unfortunately for me do not accept tips, from the receipt they crossed out the tip section. I cannot show my appreciation through tipping. The decor was decent except their tables were made of beautiful marble which dazzles me. I've been coming to this place since I was in elementary school. It's so underrated. I have since moved from the area and still go for the teriyaki. The price is just right and they give generous portions. My go to's are the teriyaki, chicken katsu, or the bento box. Why would I choose this place over the other awesome teriyaki places in Bremerton? Cause the drive thru only takes about 10 min and their California rolls have never made me sick.. The only complaint I would have is that sometimes the salad is brown and the salad dressing has changed over the years and now has a more yogurt texture. But I don't go for the salad so I'm not mad about it. read more

What drew me in was that they advertised having Sushi. All they had on the menu was a California Roll. Sushi is not plurl I guess. So this place is pretty garbage. The broth of the soup was good, but the potstickers inside were meh. The tempura veggies were a huge disappointment. Another time I went in, I got general tso chicken, egg rolls, and wonton soup for almost $20. The chicken was so salty I could hardly eat it. You definitely don't get what you're paying for. I really want to like this place because the girl who is always working there is SUPER nice. I just can't bring myself to do it. My favorites were the Honey Chicken and the Tempura Veggies (from the Bento Box -the side salad was good too & the sushi rolls were mild, not exciting but I ate all 4). Ordered a chicken teriyaki plate combo, Mongolian chicken entree and a side of fried rice to go - just a hair over $22.00 and took around 10 minutes from the time I ordered to the time I walked out the door. My family has ordered from here plenty of times, mostly they the drive thru because of its convenience. Though the handful of occasions we've been in I didn't think cleanliness was a problem. The restaurant was clean enough... the bathroom downstairs though (or the dungeon?!) is another story... but don't let that deter you from coming. Seriously, one of my favorite places for chicken teriyaki in Kitsap. I ordered the Mongolian chicken for the first time today and I don't think I've enjoyed a chicken dish that much in A LOOONG time. It was SOO good. It wasn't too greasy, had really good flavor and my kids scarfed their plates down in minutes so it's obviously kid friendly. Service has always been fine. The food is always good, and the drive thru makes it convenient. So why the 4 stars? Like I said, the service is always just fine, never rude, just not always friendly (approachable). I have eaten here many times, used to think it was the best teriyaki in Kitsap county! If tonight is any indication of their food now, I will not go back! I always used to order the teriyaki chicken and tempura shrimp dinner, it was great, lots of food, great taste, all round my fave. Tonight I had a taste for tempura so I went with the tempura shrimp platter for $9. I got two shrimp that had no taste whatsoever. The veggies were good but most of it was potato, I don't know who ever said potato should be in tempura but it should not! It is awful! I got less than half a thing of sauce not enough to even finish dipping my veggies in let alone pour any on my rice. In the tempura dinner I got less tempura then I used to get when I ordered a mixed meal with teriyaki and tempura!!! Not worth the money at all! I ordered online from the yelp menu and expected to pay the price as advertised on the yelp menu. I got there and the price was almost double what was stated on here. I explained to the lady that's not what was online and she laughed and said oh well that's probably the old menu and offered me the new menu. The food was good enough but pretty disappointed they didn't quote me a price on the phone nor was it the same on here. Forget all the past negative reviews as I was just here this past Friday and was beyond pleasantly surprised at the service and the food. Yes, it seems weird that a teriyaki place has a drive thru, but as a mother with 3 young children it is such an ingenious idea! especially with our rainy weather, I love not having to unload the kids just to load them back up to eat at home. I have searched long and hard for a local place that knows how to make Chicken Katsu without over drying the chicken and I am so damn happy to say I FOUND THE PLACE!! The katsu was cooked to perfection. The chicken was moist with a crunchy panko crusted outside! The sauce was balanced with just enough sweetness to it. The chicken teriyaki is good as well but nothing to wright home about. Beef short ribs are good as well. Overall you should definitely check this place out. Besides good food, the location is right off of 303 making it easy to grab food and head home. You can also call ahead and order your food and pick it up thru the drive thru!! We have always loved their food so tonight I took my 10 year old to dine in. We were the only ones in the restaurant and criminal minds was on tv a show I watch myself but this one was very graphic and I asked if they could change the channel. I was told no they aren't aloud to touch it. I asked for to go containers and as we were walking out I asked the gentlemen if he was the owner and I explained that I had asked to change the channel and told him what was on tv and he said oh just basic cable. Oh goodness... I remember coming here for a sushi fix, but there was nothing much on their sushi menu. Therefore, I opted for the California Roll. It was THE MOST DISGUSTING, SAD ROLL OF SUSHI I HAVE EVER SEEN OR EATEN IN MY LIFE. The rice was wet and soggy. Yes. WET and SOGGY to the point where it pretty much looked like a solid layer of white. When I ate it, it was so disgusting. The soy sauce there didn't help. I usually look forward to salad at teriyaki places because they always seem to have amazing salad dressing. My experience is solely based on the drive thru as I have not been inside the restaurant. I was on my way home from a busy day and the last thing I wanted to do was cook. I hadn't been here before but I remembered that this place had a drive thru. Great! The menu was very heavy on the teriyaki. The restaurant is named Sunny Teriyaki so that was to be expected. Not a lot of vegetarian options. I opted for a few appetizers instead of a meal as there wasn't much on the menu that I was interested in. I will say that the food came out quickly and hot. The girl at the window was friendly. But the food itself was less than appetizing. The veggie egg rolls were disgusting to be exact. The outside was crisp like you would expect an egg roll to be but the inside was a soggy mess. No flavor and no amount of soy sauce would do. They went uneaten. Next up, the crispy shrimp: they didn't resemble shrimp at all. I could see a tail but the overall shape etc was off. They were edible but certainly not good.
