Steak and potatoes. Good ole reliable.
Thien N.

It was a little place a lot of people were heading towards after the convention. It seemed like it would be better than a regular steak joint. I felt surprised by the experience. We got our table relatively quickly. I saw a T-Bone on the menu and immediately ordered that. The place wasn't packed so I didn't understand why the service was taking so long. It took us a while to get more water or get the bill at the end. The steak was okay. It wasn't anything impressive. The mash potatoes were devoid of any flavor. My friends also had a mediocre experience. If you really want meat and not too particular about the details this place will hit the spot.

After a long discussion and no decision made as to what we were having for dinner we decided to go out to eat. We were walking through SOP when we decided on Ribs & Rumps. The restaurant was quiet so we managed to get a table for 2 without a booking. First came the drinks, I had the caramel coconut espresso martini. It was nice however left a horrible aftertaste. Then we ordered - cheese and garlic baguette for starter, I had the sliders with onion rings, the boy had the wagyu burger with chips. The baguette was melt in the mouth nice fresh bread, the contents of the sliders were delicious the bread however was so chewy and the wagyu burger wasn't the best it just tasted like a standard beef burger. Then came desert we ordered the molten cake and the mousse. The deserts stole the show. What can I say, chocolate with a side of melted chocolate! Delicious! Time to pay... We asked the waiter for the bill and mentioned we were paying with card which was met with a response of "I'll get the eftpos machine at the same time so you can pay at the table" we thought great a nice quick exit. Nope! No sign of our waiter after that. Fifteen minutes passed so we made our way to the counter to pay instead. It was disappointing because the staff had been really attentive all night, that just ruined it.

Mmmmmmmm ribs... - The Lowdown: The atmosphere was nice, presentation was great, and the basting sauce was delicious. Unfortunately though, my beef ribs, which I was sorely looking forward to, came out slightly under warm. They were also not quite as tender as I'd have liked, and the quantity was underwhelming. It was a disappointing experience. Though, I don't believe this is a regular occurrence here and hope that my experience was just an outlier. - Weapon of choice: Hands - Pro Tip: ask for your ribs hot? - ~$35 half rack (1/2kg noted on menu) ~$50 full rack (1kg noted on menu)

Good spot to grab dinner before a sporting event! Or work lunch. We grabbed their express lunch menu which runs from 12-3. All items are served in 15 mins. 14 options from $15 I went with the sliders. Three kinds including chicken, pulled pork and beef. Perfect bite size and really yummy except they all had the same coleslaw-sauce and I would have preferred a bit of variety. Colleagues got the veggie lasagna, chicken burger and wings. I've had better wings but the chips are crispy and salty!

I came across this place while out for a jog at Olympic Park and just wanted a spot of lunch. I felt compelled to review it mainly because the staff here were so friendly and polite. The food was on the heavy side - As expected though! The cheesy garlic bread and the sausages (entrees) stole the show for me, very tasty. I ordered the mushroom burger as my main which had a bit too much feta (never thought I'd say that about feta), but overall it was a great meal.

Came here on boxing day with my boyfriend around 4pm so it wasnt busy at all! We were craving seafood, so we tried the seafood platter - it was a pretty good selection of garlic prawns, grilled fish, lemon pepper calamari, with chips of course! Both having 3 prawns each and soon enough everything else was finished. Although I could say it was pretty satisfying my boyfriend thought the amount of fish wasnt worth what we paid for. With the sticky date cake for dessert our total spend was around $45. We kept it at that but we would definetly want come back and try more!

While the place is connected to Rhodes Shopping Centre you enter from the street. The place has a cool urban industrial look. It's a little out there and I like it. A row of meat grinders dividing tables. A graffiti artwork of children doing a graffiti artwork. Caged meat grinders. The tables and chairs are wooden with metal frameworks and supports. There is also outside seating. You order and pay at the counter. Each table has a number which you're supposed to remember for when you order. I guess so many people didn't know they were supposed to remember their table number so now you're given a number after ordering. So we sat at table 3 but were given number 47 to take back to the table. Whatever works. The burgers came out in good time along with our fries. The burgers are a decent size so I only ordered a small fries to share between two. I didn't think about ordering sauce and by the time we started eating I didn't care enough to go up and ask for some. Plus if I had to pay for it it would have been awkward and I didn't want to go through all that. The fries was nice and crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. Not too fat nor too thin. Fresh and very hot. It was salted but only slightly, needed a little more to make it perfect. Sauce would have resolved this problem. But again I was being lazy. The double cheeseburgers we're pretty darn good. Meat was cooked nicely. Not too greasy. The acidity of the onion paired well with the saltiness of the melted cheese. It was an awesome burger. There was a slight problem but I don't want it to negatively taint the restaurant in any way possible. We had a great night and a great meal, but I always ask myself in the event of something not quite right happening at a restaurant "What would Gordon Ramsay do?" My burger had a strip of wax paper stuck to the bottom of the bun. If I hadn't cut my burger up I might have eaten it unwittingly. I made sure I told the chef, it wasn't to complain but just as a way for them to know so it doesn't happen again. We'd finished our meals by that point. I made sure to tell them how much I still enjoyed the burger and we left. One of the staff called us back in so he could comp us the burger. I told him that he didn't need to do that as we still had a great meal but he insisted. I thought this was extremely decent of them. Would I come back here again? Indeed, I would. The staff are very nice and the food is very enjoyable, with or without wax paper.

The chips were crunchy and thick (just the way I like) My issue was as I was eating the burger was too saucy, (never thought I'd ever complain about too much sauce!) but it just got everywhere! I'll have to come back and try the ribs!

The staff were amazing and so friendly...we could have had the waitress having a drink at our table if the Boss wasn't looking. The food was exceptional. I am hopeless at cooking steak and when I go to a steak restaurant I want my dinner just right...guess what, they lived up to my expectations. The stark was perfect, medium rare and with a pepper sauce on the side. The chips just crispy and the salad very fresh. The reason we came here tonight was the 25% discount after attending a movie. Would you believe all the other restaurants were closed and this one was open and very welcoming. The wine flowed and the music was upbeat. I will come here again and bring some friends especially during the week. Well done Outback Jacks, Top Ryde City!

Staff are friendly and attentive. So far so good! Lighting is pretty bright here but then again it was a very gloomy day out. I ordered the banana milkshake and the Jack Daniel ribs. Milkshake was sweet and tasty reminded me of when I was a kid at restaurants. Ribs were a big serving with chips and salad and very saucy just how I like it! And I don't eat a lot of ribs so that's saying something. My sister enjoyed her meal too which was the Jackies Eye fillet I think with mash and veggies. It's my first visit and the place is still new so we shall see how far it goes! I gave it 2 1/2 to 3 stars because I did enjoy my ribs but for 2 meals and a kids meal came to $93! Pretty exy I think!
