The food and interior ambiance are decent. However the service could seriously be improved. We were a group of 20 people and as it seems to be the case in most restaurants in Sydney, they did not want to divide the bill. You can easily imagine that it was pretty hefty for my friend who decided to pay. They don't keep track of who ordered what, so obviously we kept being interrupted every time a new dish would come. Not to mention those who forgot the name of what they order or who thought they ordered something different. The waiters are not properly trained to serve wine. Note to North American clients: there is no tipping policy in Australia.

My oh my what a taste of home... I use Togo here all the time back in Toronto before they closed them down.. There was no way I was going to cone here and not order the blooming onion!! Its a must for anyone who comes here.. As always its a big ball of yummy goodness.. I was a bit disappointed it seemed to be a bit over cooked but the flavours were still the same..Next I decided on the Alice Spring chicken which is something I do not remember being an option back home.. It was grilled chicken breast topped with honey mustard, sauteed mushrooms, crispy strips of bacon and melted cheese... Do I need to say more?? It was like heaven in my mouth.. So good.. And it was served with chips.. Always a good side dish.. They also brought the hot roll and butter.. Such a lovely added treat.. This place was packed (being a Friday night) and I wasn't surprised.. The atmosphere was modern, upbeat and with great music.. The service was great.. And on the ball.. All in all great experience

We have a large group of 17 here tonight & our waitress was very patient and helpful tonight. She did an amazing group catering to 17 people. Our food came out very quickly and the food was cooked perfectly. I always have my steaks blue.. YES BLUE.. and it was cook perfectly! It was also very busy here tonight and they manage to still keep up the good service. A big thank you to our waitress Zee, you are amazing!!!

My friends and I were coming back from the Blue Mountains and we decided to stop by Outback Steakhouse because why the hell not? What's more ironic than a group of Americans going to an American restaurant posing as an Australian restaurant, except that it's IN Australia??? We rocked up on a Saturday night around 7pm and we were surprised to find a huge queue waiting. We were told it would be a 40 minute wait and we didn't care one bit because lo and behold, they were showing ESPN and MLB at the bar. It felt like America. We ordered beers and some diet cokes (haha) and we were pleasantly surprised to find out that soft drinks had free refills. FREE REFILLS?!?! IN AUSTRALIA?!?!? It felt like America. After a short wait we were promptly seated and since we came all the way to Outback Steakhouse we HAD to order the Bloomin' Onion as well as steaks and ribs. Service was great by the way, super friendly. The Bloomin' Onion was a bit smaller than what we're accustomed to, but it was still good. The onion was a little different too but it was good. For those who are expecting the same as back in America, it's not. I ordered baby back ribs and my friends ordered all types of steaks. I didn't get to try all the steaks but the prime rib was tender and fatty enough, as was the rib eye, can't go wrong with both. The baby back ribs were decent, not bad but not amazing. Hurricane's ribs are better, but you get better bang for your buck here. I would eat here again if I was in the area.

Our server was Eric and he was wonderful. It is St Patrick's Day and we just asked if he had any green cocktails, he has two off the menu, one was a caramel apple and one a creme' de mint (I think) if you happen to go be sure to ask him, they are fabulous. We also had Liz check in on us and she was perfect, definitely a five star.

Service is excellent here! Friendly and easy to get the attention of . The food for me was good, had the chicken and ribs combo but my partners steak wasn't cooked right! Wasnt medium rare and this is a steak house? A little expensive here but it's prices you expect to pay! My partner would of given this a lower score

The…read moreexpensive hardware store or the vet next door was in Yelp before this place hahah obviously peoples mind set isn't in the right place lol This steak house is tucked away in an almost one way back street of Mortdale :)! Its close to the pub which only locals stick too & is also really close to the well known Mortdale Bike shed. People probably not aware of this place cause its only open from 12pm on fridays & Saturdays and every other day is open fron 5pm. As soon as you walk into the restaurant you notice all the old school Fire station memorabilia hung up all over the walls :)!! So the the name Fire house Grill is the perfect name for this place :). Was here at the restaurant for a mother's day dinner with the family to beat the hustle & bustle rush of the real mothers day tomorrow :)!! We ordered a mixed entrée with, ribs off the bone, tasty pork belly with a creamy slaw topping, king prawns with a crumbed cheese coating, haloumi cheese, salad with 2 dipping sauces (garlic & tzatziki). For dinner majority had fillet mignone with chips salad and dipping sauce of your choice, i had a oven roasted duck with a tasty salad and mum had the braised beef cheek which tasted a bit over cooked and dry byt all the other maibs were very nice :)!! For dessert 2 people had the mango creme Bruleé which was outstanding, my sister had a perfection sticky date pudding which is never served big enough to satisfy your needs lol & i had a freesh fruit & Cheese platter with a peppermint tea.. the perfect tasty end to a nice dinner night out with the family :)!! Really enjoyed dining at this place.. been here about 4 times now and would recommend it to anyone i know .. and must mention again that while waiting for your food to come out and if you weren't conversing it was really nice to stare around the restaurant & study all the fire house memorabilia they had to offer :)

Enjoy watching the culinary art of cooking while you dine. Reservations are good idea although we did not have any and were directed to sit at the bar. After meeting the manager and the chef we were seated at a table. The chef is from Colombia and is excellent! Everything was delicious. The steak was cooked to perfection, charred exterior from the high heat cast iron sear, the meat was rich and melted in your mouth. Vegetables were tender and succulent. The sauces are tasty and the sweet potato fries had the perfect balance of a sweet savory light coating offering that maximizing crunch and fluffy tender interior. Excellent! Would highly recommend this restaurant.

We had questions about the menu, but finally resorted to ordering off the QR code on the table. My husband and I ordered the Waygu Tomahawk steak, medium rare. It came with grilled veggies that were cold but still the start of the show, flavor wise. Our steak was halfway to transitioning to beef jerky. It was laborious to chew, dry, and far from buttery as one would expect of a $160 cut of Waygu. No one asked us how we were enjoying our meal, beyond having the food dropped off no one even acknowledged we exist. Deeply disappointing.
