    Eye fillet steak with gravy.
    David T.

While in town on a business trip a work mate and I decided to stop by as we were craving steak. I believe I ordered the eye fillet steak and gravy for sauce (writing this review a bit late but pretty sure it was the eye fillet.) At $34.90 I got quite a large plate full which is great. The steak was cooked very well but only slightly missed the mark of being amazing (too much char). The chips were yummy and the salad delicious. I walked away nursing a bit of a food baby after our visit. One big downside was that the venue is completely non-alcoholic. When ordering I was searching the drinks menu for a beer list when my work colleague asked for a bourbon in a tall glass. The waitress informed him that it was a non-alcoholic bourbon. I didn't even know non-alcoholic bourbon existed and remember the price being something around $9, which is ridiculous for something with no alcohol (Online menu shows $5.90 I'm guessing for a small glass). We both ended up going with standard coke. Their website doesn't list anything about BYO either. Overall the food was nice, service was quick for us but it was a very quiet night, so it might not be on other nights. If you're not a drinker and looking for a good steak stopping here shouldn't let you down. Their menu also contains a large variety of other options such as pizza, chicken and pasta choices.

We have been here twice and both on a voucher. Cold water is served by glass as soon as you sit down. Lunchtime was a seafood platter to share. The fish was the pick on the platter. Prawns were good too. It is served on a board which is covered in chips. We could have done without the huge amount of chips but that may suit others. The salad was very fresh and not an afterthought as it often in is other restaurants. The soft drink was served in one of the largest glasses I have seen in Australia so generally you shouldn't have to order a second glass. Breakfast was the protein platter with eggs done in a little Spanish pan. They kept hot throughout the meal. There was mashed avocado to have with the grilled chicken; butter for the toast and fresh asparagus as well. This was an excellent breakfast. On both occasions we have arrived 30 minutes after the advertised opening times only to be either met with a shut door (lunchtime 12:30pm) or to be told that breakfast isn't served until 10:00am (after being advertised as 9:00am). On the lunchtime occasion all we could do was walk around the block as we had booked for 12:30. There was no booking needed for the breakfast so when we were told it would be another 30mins before the cook was on duty I suggested sitting and having a coffee could be a plan. On neither occasion, were our enquiries about opening times actually explained. Once our food was ordered it came out in a timely fashion. The restaurant was quite empty on both occasions so I am not sure how they would handle high volume. There are plenty of TVs on the walls inside the restaurant and there is seating outside under cover. Keep a lookout for the vouchers as it it worth a try but be mindful it may not be open when you get there.

Awesome steakhouse with great service and excellent meat. I found this place on my first trip to Sydney, Australia. I would recommend this place.

They had a living social breakfast voucher with two different options. We showed up on a Saturday morning and had a delightful breakfast. It was a huge platter to share . Very good service from the wait staff and lovely cappuccinos. Good value for money and great vibe in parramatta on a Saturday morning. We had an outdoor patio seat . Good experience and well presented food

Volcano's steakhouse ribs with mash potato Love the potato meat is tender but could be better if there wasn't a lot of excess fat

This place is a place you would go once in a while the first time I came here was last year we all had separate food in the afternoon I had seafood pasta it was good by itself My dads ribs were tender and I love the potato mash but I wouldn't eat more than one meal it would overwhelm the flavour and it will be hard to eat Its better off picking one meal and stick to one meal Yesterday I've eaten the ribs with potato mash it was good but it could've been better without the layer of fat it made me a little sick sadly I couldn't manage to finish Seafood pasta was good Signature dish an interesting dish with a lot of combination Sauteed mushroom were excellent with the meat however the top meat was dry for a medium rare the one below was just right tomatoes were lovely but not sun dried as it says on the menu and prawns on the corner were a little greasy This steakhouse is overall great but it can be greater if they improve on their meat by getting rid of the excess fat And also note to all customers eat one meal and that's it don't eat and munch on another This steakhouse food proportions are big so I suggest to pick one meal each person If you're a little fragile like me

    Review Highlights - Volcano's steakhouse

This restaurant was booked out, however they were kind enough to allow us to have a meal with no booking at a table that was reserved about 90 minutes later (time enough to have a relaxing meal).

They only open thursdsy through to Sunday from 5pm - 10pm, pretty decent hours for a late night appetizer :D!! The menu is at the front of the shop making it nice and easy to see what's on offer :). They had the Philly cheese steak rolls, loaded Hot dogs, loaded and plain fries and deep fried oreos :) I opted for the mushroom Philly cheese steak, love mushrooms haha!! Also got the the Philly hot dog which was a schnitzel crumbed Vienna hot dog and then deep fried .. :D, got chips and a drink with the deep fried oreos as a no brainer to order haha !! 2 mates both got the Philly cheese steak roll meal aswell & an NY Hot dog with a serving of deep fried oreos each aswell :). It was a cool lay out with libe American football on the TV to the left of the counter, 2 wooden bench table for seating, a small table ro the right of the counter with sauces/pickles to add on and a drum fire in the centre to warm up :), slightly 10 times better than those crappy tall gas heaters you see at all the restaurants everywhere these days haha The Cheese steak rolls were big and cheesy and on the tasty side .. wasn't on the hard side to scoff it down before you thought about taking it slow haha.. the hot dogs were on the average side but still not bad tasting but if i went back i would just stick to the Philly cheese steaks :)!! Last but not least the deep fried oreos, they weren't ready when we got our meals handed to us but they were conveniently ready when we had finished eating so it was perfect timing :). Is what a perfect amount of Batter on the oreos and it xame with oreo ice cream aswell :). My highlight of ths night was definitely the Oreos :D!! This place definitely kicks the butts of the majority of try hard Ameican places that have opened up in the city. The quality for the city places gets lost in trying to be the best when this place has a basic menu, the food qaulity is on point and for it being in a semi industrial area with the exception of a cafe and Italian restaurant beside it, it still got younger and older crowds, also a few families coming past for the cookies :D Also the people who were working there were super friendly and helpful :D!!

A decent size group of blokes, maybe six or seven of us. The staff was ultra cool with us, making jokes and having a laugh while we waited for our orders. I must admit I was impressed how quickly they got all our meals out. Not a huge place inside. Only a few tables, one big one we managed to all squeeze on. The atmosphere was lacking a little something, not sure what though. The art style on the walls were wild. Some form of mad crazy hip hop street art (really showing my age now). The tables and chairs where pretty plain but I've come to the conclusion that this was done on purpose as they want the magic to be the food on top of the table. Who cares about a table? No one remembers a table... well, except for me. I went with the Blame Canada burger ($17). Beef pattie, American cheese, maple glazed bacon, maple aioli, and poutine on a BL milk bun. In case you don't know what poutine is it's a Canadian thing of chips and gravy - you MUST try it. This burger is all types of right. The saltiness of the cheese and bacon mixing with the sweetness of the maple leaves a flavour eruption in your mouth like no other. The beef pattie is cooked perfectly and just remembering this now makes me want to drive out there again and wait overnight for the place to open just like those lads waiting in line for the new iPhone to come out. Unlike the iPhone though these burgers are very much intended to be eaten and is far more delicious. If you're ever out this way and you have a burger craving and you want to try some real American inspired burgers, you can't skip this place. I'd hate to see it busy due to limited seating. However you can always get the meal takeaway and retreat to somewhere quieter.

I can't tell you how bad my food envy was the day a workmate and I ordered our burgers - he ordered like any normal burger craving person would - normal bun, with normal filling .. I had to go all 'calorie cutting ninja' on my burger and it ruined it. The filling was great, I have no issues with the filling, but let me try and describe the bun. First and foremost, its flat - its like a pita bread but not as thin. Its slightly thicker, same diameter as a burger bun and the texture of a crumbly gluten free bread - dear lord the crumbs, I couldn't stop it. Second, the taste - what is this? Cardboard laced with honey? At least give us a neutral taste that won't compete with the otherwise delicious flavours from the filling. Ohhh seeeee now I get it, no wonder its called low carb - you flick the bun to the side to get to the good stuff .. no bread = low carb .. makes sense. I will only take the 1 star away from the review for the bun (was my bad, but they could have warned me HA). 4 stars though go to the thorough service and the obviously amazing burgers they're pumping out to a FULL restaurant !! Excellent choice for a quick take-out option for lunch .. and a much better choice than Maccas.

They're not dripping in grease and do not contain processed foods. The menu is HUGE! I'm a bit of a traditionalist so I always go for the Simply Grill'd - which is your basic burger for $9.50, $10.50 if you want to add cheese. Sound pricey? For what you get, not really! It's massive and if you do want chips, share a regular with your friends for $4.50. They have gluten free buns as well, which I've noticed is an increasing trend in burger places. You can also opt for a panini, white or wholemeal bun. They have something for everyone! Chicken, beef, lamb, salads, vegie burgers, kids menu and a snack menu - everyone leaves happy!

I drove all the way there (45 minutes from Eastern suburbs) because my friend had recommended the wings. I see I am not the only one who has ventured here for wings. They were not as good as the ones in North America but I have written an entire blog post http://www.abroad-abroad.ca/Best+Sydney+wings about my wing search and these were by far the best. The crunch was there, the sauce was almost there and while the ranch dipping sauce didn't quite have the thickness and flavour of North America, the wings came with celery and carrots which made them the closest thing you can find. We actually shared the buffalo platter which came with chicken strips, shrimp and wings and all were tasty. We had a side of curly fries just to ensure maximum caloric intake and they were good too. The server was friendly and checked on us more often than many places I have been to in Australia. They were all quite pretty as one would expect. The overweight, balding male managers added a certain Je Ne Sais Quoi that just added to the whole experience. I will go back for sure!
