    Eye fillet steak with gravy.
    David T.

While in town on a business trip a work mate and I decided to stop by as we were craving steak. I believe I ordered the eye fillet steak and gravy for sauce (writing this review a bit late but pretty sure it was the eye fillet.) At $34.90 I got quite a large plate full which is great. The steak was cooked very well but only slightly missed the mark of being amazing (too much char). The chips were yummy and the salad delicious. I walked away nursing a bit of a food baby after our visit. One big downside was that the venue is completely non-alcoholic. When ordering I was searching the drinks menu for a beer list when my work colleague asked for a bourbon in a tall glass. The waitress informed him that it was a non-alcoholic bourbon. I didn't even know non-alcoholic bourbon existed and remember the price being something around $9, which is ridiculous for something with no alcohol (Online menu shows $5.90 I'm guessing for a small glass). We both ended up going with standard coke. Their website doesn't list anything about BYO either. Overall the food was nice, service was quick for us but it was a very quiet night, so it might not be on other nights. If you're not a drinker and looking for a good steak stopping here shouldn't let you down. Their menu also contains a large variety of other options such as pizza, chicken and pasta choices.

We have been here twice and both on a voucher. Cold water is served by glass as soon as you sit down. Lunchtime was a seafood platter to share. The fish was the pick on the platter. Prawns were good too. It is served on a board which is covered in chips. We could have done without the huge amount of chips but that may suit others. The salad was very fresh and not an afterthought as it often in is other restaurants. The soft drink was served in one of the largest glasses I have seen in Australia so generally you shouldn't have to order a second glass. Breakfast was the protein platter with eggs done in a little Spanish pan. They kept hot throughout the meal. There was mashed avocado to have with the grilled chicken; butter for the toast and fresh asparagus as well. This was an excellent breakfast. On both occasions we have arrived 30 minutes after the advertised opening times only to be either met with a shut door (lunchtime 12:30pm) or to be told that breakfast isn't served until 10:00am (after being advertised as 9:00am). On the lunchtime occasion all we could do was walk around the block as we had booked for 12:30. There was no booking needed for the breakfast so when we were told it would be another 30mins before the cook was on duty I suggested sitting and having a coffee could be a plan. On neither occasion, were our enquiries about opening times actually explained. Once our food was ordered it came out in a timely fashion. The restaurant was quite empty on both occasions so I am not sure how they would handle high volume. There are plenty of TVs on the walls inside the restaurant and there is seating outside under cover. Keep a lookout for the vouchers as it it worth a try but be mindful it may not be open when you get there.

Awesome steakhouse with great service and excellent meat. I found this place on my first trip to Sydney, Australia. I would recommend this place.

They had a living social breakfast voucher with two different options. We showed up on a Saturday morning and had a delightful breakfast. It was a huge platter to share . Very good service from the wait staff and lovely cappuccinos. Good value for money and great vibe in parramatta on a Saturday morning. We had an outdoor patio seat . Good experience and well presented food

Volcano's steakhouse ribs with mash potato Love the potato meat is tender but could be better if there wasn't a lot of excess fat

This place is a place you would go once in a while the first time I came here was last year we all had separate food in the afternoon I had seafood pasta it was good by itself My dads ribs were tender and I love the potato mash but I wouldn't eat more than one meal it would overwhelm the flavour and it will be hard to eat Its better off picking one meal and stick to one meal Yesterday I've eaten the ribs with potato mash it was good but it could've been better without the layer of fat it made me a little sick sadly I couldn't manage to finish Seafood pasta was good Signature dish an interesting dish with a lot of combination Sauteed mushroom were excellent with the meat however the top meat was dry for a medium rare the one below was just right tomatoes were lovely but not sun dried as it says on the menu and prawns on the corner were a little greasy This steakhouse is overall great but it can be greater if they improve on their meat by getting rid of the excess fat And also note to all customers eat one meal and that's it don't eat and munch on another This steakhouse food proportions are big so I suggest to pick one meal each person If you're a little fragile like me

    Review Highlights - Volcano's steakhouse

This restaurant was booked out, however they were kind enough to allow us to have a meal with no booking at a table that was reserved about 90 minutes later (time enough to have a relaxing meal).

Parking is metered at this end of Parramatta but you can park a little further away and walk. The restaurant faces a courtyard and is next to another similar restaurant; healthy competition? Our waitress was on the ball. Whilst we were four adults on a voucher, we had two children in tow. She was mindful that a baby cino might need more than one marshmallow..we ended up with four. She was clear on what was and what wasn't included in the voucher and double checked on how we wanted our eggs & toast. As for the food....very good and generous portions. We did add to the meal with iced coffee and other drinks. The coffee was very good. The restaurant has seating inside and outside. It is quite open and there is plenty of room to park a stroller. There is also a bar that serves beer and wine. As it was breakfast we gave that a miss this time.

The coffee was okay which is why I didn't go back (and only reason for 4 stars instead of 5) but I can say it was good just not great. That said, I loved the vibe of this quaint lil' spot. Now, I know what you are going to say- they are just the finished- the actual maple waffles were there and it was pretty- but that does not make it ok! If the restaurant does not have the ingredients for a dish and said ingredients ARE ON THE MENU DESCRIPTION- don't freakin serve it until you have verified with the customer that the substitutions are acceptable- give them a chance to pick something else or go ahead with the order. It's really cute here and very bright. it reminded me of a really adorable cafe in the streets of europe. RED VELVET LATTE I didn't like this latte. It was way too sweet. The consistency was a nice thickness and I could taste the red velvet, but it was very rich. MORNING GLORY- mango, peach, and passionfruit I really liked this refreshing drink. It's definitely something to order on a warm day. The fruit flavors were very good and sweet. This could perhaps be a mimosa in the making. THE FRENCHY- vanilla mascarpone, maple, berries, caramelised banana, mochi rice cake This dish was very sweet. It was a mistake ordering this because everything on the plate was sweet. I did like the french toast. It had a good thick texture on the edges, but still soft and moist in the center. The fresh fruits helped to balance out some of the sweetness of the dish, but unfortunately there was not enough fruits. The maple was too sweet and the caramelised banana was also very rich with the mascarpone. Most likely we won't be ordering this in the future. ARIGATO WAFFLES- furikake chicken waffles, cheddar, crispy bacon, and miso hollandaise This was my favorite dish of the meal. It was absolutely perfect. I'm giving this place an extra star because of this dish. The waffles were perfect. It was crisp and so light. The chicken was also very crispy and moist. The miso hollandaise sauce really tied everything together and added a sweet and savory factor. The bacon was not as crisp as I would've liked. I would've preferred the fattier bacon for texture purposes and also because it's more flavorful. Overall, it was the perfect dish for my palate. I will come back solely for the arigato waffles. It was so good. Other than that, everything else was ehh~ Service was not great. It took the girls forever to get our orders. The decor is definitely something to come for.
