When we arrived the girl that was mopping the restroom quickly put the broom aside and told us they were out of brisket and fries. I said we were here for the ribs. She grabbed 2 menus and silverware and We were seated. When the waitress came to take our order and I ordered ribs she informed us that we should have been told that they were out of ribs, brisket and fries. We drove an hour to celebrate our anniversary at the Rib Crib. It was 7:30pm and they are supposed to be open until 10 pm. We left, very disappointed. I never thought to check the yelp ratings prior to dinner as I have had great experiences at other locations. After checking it seems running out of food happens at this location. read more

I love RibCrib, it's awesome and super good and welcoming. The online ordering though isn't their specialty. Had a raw potato (wasn't cooked fully and was HARD) and when I was waiting for my order the lady at the window wasn't even paying attention and sat on her phone for 10 minutes before one of her coworkers told her that we were there. Visiting OK and decided to take some family out to dinner for ribs. Ordered the half stack and the ribs were very tender! Tasty and very good portion and filling! The sauces were on the table so you could choose which one you like. Had Marconi and cheese and okra along with them. From Texas, very picky about BBQ. This exceeded my expectations. I have tried many other restaurants in Grove and this is tops. I know you can't compare different genres... but this is the best food in Grove. The brisket is tender and flavorful with a perfect smokiness. I have not previously had pulled pork I liked (tried so so many) but RibCrib took the cake on it....yum. It melts in your mouth. We ended up buying a bottle of the BBQ sauce (mild of course, I'm a weenie for spicy). The hot links are spicy....warning.. flavor is good though.. We waited 25 minutes for two meals and everything but the fried okra was cold. The meat was actually cool and the mashed potatoes were as if they had been heated in the microwave to warm. They we're not hot by any means and had spots that were like they came out of the refrigerator. the Mac and cheese was barely above room temperature. The waitress was polite, didn't offer any explanation why we waited 25 minutes for cold food when they weren't even busy. Her response was to give us $5 off. We won't be back. read more

We have eaten at Rib Cribs for over 20 years. We have to the Grove location sine it opened. However since the remodel and reopening the management and service may be the worse I've ever experienced in the food industry. We tried to eat at this location about 3 weeks ago. We ordered chicken. The we're out. We ordered brisket, they were out. We gave up. We tried again today. We ordered takeout. First there phone is horrible. Maybe it's their headset. Regardless I ordered a chicken salad. I was told ok. I also ordered a chicken sandwich and I was told they were out of chicken? I got hung up on. I called back and was told they just got some chicken in? I placed my order and went through the drive through. The woman at the window couldn't have been more surly. She tried to hand me a bag that was covered in grease. She took the boxes out of the bag and literally through the boxes in a new bag. I asked if she included BBQ sauce. She said it's in the boxes. She never smiled or thanked me. We got home - no sauce. Luckily we had a bottle of Billy Sims BBQ sauce. What a disappointment. They need a née manager at minimum. It was fine before remodel. read more

Good flavor, only reason for 2 stars. $16 plate had about half the expected food, and half the meat was nothing but fat. Probably more meat in total on the salad. If you're going to have the word rib in your name, it's probably a good idea to make sure it at least tastes better than a McRib from McDonalds. A cucumber has better flavor than this. Came in on a Sunday, stood for about 5 minutes and then left. I worked in restaurants growing up and understand how they work. In the 5 minutes we were there there was about 4 dirty tables dishes piled on each one, a bunch of people waiting to be seated. I understand being busy, but i couldn't count the amount of employees walking by dishes, and standing around talking. Dishes piled high on the edge of the counters by the computer... it was disgusting. Poor leadership is the cause of these issues. read more

Sadly, we cannot continue to recommend. For 10-15 years we have been customers of this Grove branch. The only side available for me due to allergies, is a baked potato plain. I have ordered this with a meat for a very long time. The potato is usually much too big but as I said, it's all they have I can eat. The single meat meal usually runs around $12 nowadays. This time they were adamant about charging me $4 extra for the potato and ($12 just for meat) instead of substituting for the other sides that I can't have. They blamed it on COVID. Well these kinds of decisions may also have tough consequences. Everyone's pockets feel COVID ... why punish your customers?! We normally go with lots of friends or family and this would make it possible for me to eat as well. In the future, when we all dine together, we have agreed to go elsewhere until the management removes this policy. A very disappointed customer. read more

Good plentiful food. Wasn't too crowded when we dined but the waitress wasn't very attentive. They may have other duties so it wasn't a big deal to us. But we are patient people. Service is typically slower than you would expect but if you look at the age of those that work here you are dealing with the entitlement generation. Rib Crib , including this one , is one of those places where you need to keep on moving. Ordered the Pigman sandwich(brisket, pulled pork, smoked sausage, pickles and onion on a bun. It came with a huge basket of fries and I had the sweet tea. The tea was good and she kept my glass full. The sandwich had a nasty taste I couldn't identify. I know this much it didn't taste like slow smoked meat. The fries were bland. The grease they were cooked in was the only taste they had. Then I had the "Bourbon Street pecan pie and ice cream. Sunday late afternoon 2 cooks & 2 waitresses on duty with no other patrons in the restsurant and it took over an hour to get our food because the waitress put 1 persons order in wrong so they left everyone else's food sitting in the window until that order was done too. The best pulled pork...when I saw that it could be ordered by the pound......I just use the drive thru..... I have a structural issue with my TMJ.... I love meat.....cannot eat a lot of things, not because they are not tender, such as (my fav. Service was TERRIBLE!!! and the food very poorly cooked....... The night before I believe..... Because it was awful!!! Ribs were dry and mushy, not even sure how you get that combo...? Place is filthy. The staff appears to be totally oblivious to dirty tables, napkins were laying on the floor, there was a wet rag laying under one of the tables right next to a fork. When we were there, they were not busy and there is absolutely no excuse for the staff to leave the dining area in that disarray. It's hard to get good help in Grove. Sad. read more

my family has been going here and ordering takeout from here for years and there always seems to be something wrong with our order. this past summer we ordered four orders of meat, fried okra, and some sides of coleslaw and beans. when we took home our food and opened up the bag, we knew right away this would not be enough for 13 people. the sides were enough for one person and our order didn't even come with the sauces or the loaf of bread! the food is so-so, but we will definitely not be rushing back to this restaurant! read more
