We loved being able to dine out on the deck overlooking the lake. The service and food were good and the prices were very fair.

The food was very good. Loved the tower of onion rings. Nice view of the lake and marina. The service was friendly and quick. 3 adults had the fish and chips that was delicious. My son had the Philly cheesesteak, and my daughter had the BLT. Everything was a hit. This will definitely be a stop the next time we are at monkey Island. read more

Everything was good...EXCEPT THE FLIES!! Put in some screens and get this under control. To be honest the Health Dept should get involved. It wouldn't be that expensive to get screens for all the doors and windows. Fans placed strategically to push the flies from the entry locations. read more

The atmosphere is really nice, right on the water, easy to get too from a boat and main road. The food was just ok, nothing great but good drink prices. The service isn't very good at all unless a person arrives on a boat or looks a certain way. It took over 10 minutes to get any service at all. Other people around us who came in behind us had service right away. Since we didn't look a certain way or come in from a boat, we had very poor service. Regardless of someone's image, they should get the same service. We were out driving our corvette and stopped in for lunch. We were younger than most and received lower quality of service. When we are in the area, we typically stop at Roadhog Saloon, where service has always been good. The scenery is beautiful but poor service and so so food.....not enough to ever come back. Even on a hot day, The Quarterdeck was cool and inviting. It's pool side and on the Tera Miranda marina. If you're tooling around the lake, you can pool up at a courtesy dock. It was a pretty busy Saturday when we were there and people were jockeying for space in the marina. Service was a bit slow but still attentive. The manager on duty was making sure everything was good for guests and checking in. We tried the green chile burger, the mushroom Swiss burger and a monstrous looking Meat 'n Mac (pulled pork topped with Mac 'n Cheese). Fries were good and onion rings were fantastic. It was nice that they literally cut one of the burgers in half, portioned out the fries and brought it out in two baskets when they knew we were splitting one. The Bloody Mary was fantastic. It came with large celery stalk, skewered olive and okra and pepper, and a bacon slice. (I'm not one to like bacon in my cocktail so I passed the slice along to a table mate---I was told it was delicious.) It seemed to be a popular place on a Saturday afternoon. We will be back! Casual, clean atmosphere. The deck faces the lake, isn't a fabulous view, but the large fans give off a nice breeze and it's cozy. We started with Moscow mules which were cold and good. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful in making menu choices. We shared a Philly with onion rings...should have gotten the tower, they were so good! The side salad was fresh and had cucumbers, cheese, tomatoes and more! If in the area again, we will for sure come back! read more

Very good. Had the loaded grilled chicken salad on croissant. It was good & fresh. Portions are great no enormous. Have fresh fruit as an option instead of fries & chips. Pool available to cafe guests. Bathrooms are clean. Have onion ring towers. read more

Where to start? First they make a really good Bloody Mary. The onion rings are very good. The staff is totally untrained and management seems to not care. We ordered a side of onion rings and we split a Green chili burger. When our order of Onion rings arrived, delivered by someone from the kitchen, it was the Tower of Rings (10.95) vs. side of rings 4.95. I told the lady we had the wrong order but she told us to just keep them and she would see the order was adjusted. As you might guess the check reflected 10.95 instead of 4.95. I asked our server about the discrepancy and she said" you ate part of them so I have to charge you for delivery". My next words were let me speak to your manager. In the next room I could see her in an extended conversation with a young guy , I assume was the manager. She disappears for 10 minutes. The manager never looks at us despite the restaurant being relatively empty at 5:00 on a Thursday evening. Finally the server arrives with the correct check. Overall just a bad experience. Love this place....they are really serving great from scratch food. So far I have had the Chicken Fried Steak and the Turkey sandwich. I love Chicken Fried Steak...it might make my "before the electric chair" meal. My friend Shannon is from Illinois and has never had a Chicken Fried Steak. She says it seems gross and unhealthy. I will agree with the latter but I'm sure my friend Candy could justify the meal as being "not that bad". She's good at that. I'm thinking I can get Shannon to try the CFS sometime this summer. She likes to jog a lot. My wife is from Brasil and she even likes CFS. Although everyone knows South Americans don't believe in gravy. They do believe in ham. My wife is getting more Americanized everyday. IMO...when you start eating gravy you pretty much have adopted our great culture. That and she has started wearing jean shorts, tennis shoes and an eskimo joe's t shirt. They put Barrel of Monkeys on every table. I'm not really sure how the game works but it's nice to have something to do while sitting there. If someone knows how to plays this could you please email me. Food is very expensive. Wifi reaches kind of far but NEVER works. I've tried MANY times in the past 4 or 5 years.

We arrived by boat. Restaurant instructed us to walk up a muddy and wet ramp and then I and my 2 year old daughter fell and were injured. They never asked if we were ok or needed assistance. When my dad told the manager that they should post a warning sign they yelled at him and told us to leave. read more

Excellent food, it's an all you can eat breakfast buffet on the weekend. It is all cooked from scratch and delicious. The cinnamon rolls were excellent as was the blueberry and chocolate chip pancakes. If here on the weekend we'd come back. Also best service we received in our two weeks on Grand Lake were at this restaurant. read more

Manager was very rude!! Tried to get a table two nights in a row. First night we waited 20 minutes and left. We never were asked to even put our name on the list. Just went back and had to go find someone to ask to be put on the waiting list. She then told us it would be an hour and a half. There were many tables open. I told her our experience from the night before. Her response was "Look around sister". Needless to say we left. Very poor people skills!!! read more

Best food on Grand. Matt is an awesome chef. Great family run business located at Tera Mirada Marina. They do a breakfast buffet which has OMG so good cinnamon rolls. They also have lunch and dinner menu. I kept asking Matt to make me a portabello sandwich so they put on the menu and its excellent! Even my beef loving friends love it. read more

I have never written a review on a restaurant in my entire life. Had to download the app just because. Upon arrival initially checked in with the hostess and was told a 45 minute wait. I understand it's the 4th of July weekend. At just under an hour my wife checked back in with the hostess and still nothing available. At 1 hour and 10 minutes I checked in with the hostess and still nothing available. However there were seats near the bar and outside that could accommodate a table of two. I explained to the hostess that we would be happy to sit at the bar, sit outside, or sit at what appeared to be an open high top near the bar where someone had obviously previously been served. I even offered to just order and take our food Togo but was told we would be at the bottom of the list. Long story short avoid this place at all cost. The owner let's it be run by teenagers that do not understand where their paycheck comes from! Rant over. Avoid this place. read more

Went for the breakfast buffet. Service was fine to our table. Buffet had flies hovering the food the entire time. Looking back, our party would have rather stayed home and made the same dish options homemade and been way better off without the wait and could have kept the kids entertained. Unfortunately they use styrofoam plates and cups, plastic utensils. I hope they recycle, but not likely. I'm not normally a green freak either, but it's hard not to notice the trash overflowing with styrofoam/plastic products. Price was very stern at $13.95 per adult. $7.95 kids 12 and under. I hate to give bad reviews but we just had the worst service I have ever experience. We arrived at 2:30 and did not get our food until 3:45. We were seated before several groups but they received their food before us. We ordered several drinks that never arrived (which were comped but it is hard to comp something you never receive). i've been here for lunch several times and each time it has been very good! prices are a little high for the quality of the food but the wings and appetizers are very good! i like the pool and the staff is overall very friendly! drinks are priced good and they have a full bar. the kids especially enjoy the dirt cups with pudding that they give to us! read more
