Buffalo Trace bourbon on tap!
Jim S.

Took my wife out for birthday. Great experience at the Summit. Ty he room is warm and big, but cozy and comfortable . Nice place for a special occasion or to impress clients or a special someone. First they had Buffalo Trace bourbon which is getting harder to find. I had Pork Tenderloin in a bed of mushroom hash. My wife had the Salmon. Both were well executed, fresh and delicious. Would order both again. Staff were attentive, friendly and helpful with suggestions. I would recommend highly. Bill for two with tip $120

This restaurant will not allow you to sit by a window unless you are a member. Since there won't be any good view, why not go somewhere else to celebrate a special occasion? For the money, you will easily be able to find another nice restaurant with better ambiance, romance, and basic respect. Also, don't let allow them to push the Coconut cream pie. It's a cheap frozen pie. The rest of the food did not make up for the snobbery.

Love this restaurant. It's been fabulous every time we've visited from OKC. My filet was delicious. Hubby had Rib Eye! Fabulous. Crab Cake great. Pretzel charcuterie was fun! Service always so nice.

Amazing desserts at the Summit!

Having grown up with Grand Lake as a second home on the weekends, I was excited about the recent changes in Shangri-La with the beautifully redesigned golf course (with white sand!) and the gorgeous new clubhouse with the Summit restaurant, Buffalo Bar, and pro shop in it. The Summit is on the second floor immediately when you walk in the front doors with plenty of parking. I called to make dinner reservations for my mom's birthday the day of the dinner without any problem. Upon arriving, we were immediately seated at a table with large, leather chairs. They have no booths, but the chairs are amazing and comfortable. The interior design has a wooden cabin feel, but with high-end elegance. Some people were dressed up, some golfers were there after playing. No one wore jeans, but I saw hats and tennis shoes. You don't have to be a member to eat there, but if you are, you can charge the meal to your member account. Pros: - Two different breads arrive before the meal, one has olives in it and tastes like bread dipped in olive oil and the other is plump breadsticks with a light garlic taste- yum! - The filet mignon comes out as a hearty 10 ounces, plenty big for a filet and has very good flavor! - The BBQ salmon arrives as a good portion too with yummy square potatoes in a creamy sauce on the side! - They brought my mother a complimentary dessert trio including mint pie with Oreo crust, coconut crème pie, and peanut butter pie, and all three were delicious! - The wine list is nice, and I enjoyed their cabernet sauvignon options ($11-$14 a glass). - The staff was very kind, accommodating, and made our evening wonderful! Cons: - The sides are very small, so order soup or salad before your meal arrives. Their ranch dressing is very good! With the filet mignon, I received three pieces of asparagus and three pieces of zucchini/squash, that's all. It normally comes with a few fingerling potatoes, but it's not anymore in portion. - The "special of the night" came with fried okra, and I didn't get the special, but wanted a side of okra. I told them I would even pay extra for a side of the okra, but the waitress said the chef only had enough okra for those who ordered the special. Really? That's lame. Why not keep it in stock (easy to store in the freezer) and have it available as an up-sale for those, like me, who really craved fried okra after it was mentioned by the waitress?! Expectations: - The prices at the Summit are comparable to a good Dallas steakhouse, so I was not shocked by the sticker prices having lived in Dallas for 5 years now, but those used to Tulsa restaurants need to expect to pay more for a bit less at the Summit when comparing them. The seabass and filet mignon run around $45 just for the meat and small sides. They also have vegetarian plates for around $28, so there is food variety which I really like in case you're not in the mood for meat or fish. Reservations recommended in advance! We will definitely go back since we spend a lot of weekends at our lake house nearby and would like to try lunch next time!

Dinner last night was awesome ! Quail poppers and scallops for appetizers ! Salmon, steak and swordfish (catch of the day) were all great! Food and one round of drinks $354... Perfect! Six of us came by boat, tied up Shangri-La Marina, and called the shuttle bus. 918.257.4200, thanks Denise!

This was absolutely terrible! chicken was stuffed with absolutely nothing. And potatoes were cold!

The Shebang - Very tough pork chop

The Shebang

We booked a reservation for a bachelorette party and received a confirmation text the morning of…read morethat our reservation was still upheld. We show up and there is a sign on the door that says "temporarily closed." Tell me why we got a confirmation text confirming our reservation when they are obviously not open. We called them multiple times throughout the day and got voicemail. The voicemail never said they were temporarily closed. I am disappointed by the way that this was handled by them!

Food: should've known that expectations for food were down in the dumps when we asked what wine…read morethey had and instead of saying regions or vintages, our waitress listed types of wine. The Cabernet was cloyingly sweet and set the tone for a pretty meh meal. The pork chops I ordered can only be described as tasting like shoe leather. They were some of toughest I ever had and I highly regret ordering it. Salad was also WAY too salty. My wife ordered a salad where half of the ingredients were missing because they were out of it. Key elements like candied pecans and the dressing were missing. I know it's off season but the lack of ingredients and the lack of cooking finesse are inexcusable for a restaurant. Service: server was nice. However, she neglected to tell us various things were out of stock including half of the ingredients on the salad. It's almost laughable, one of the main menu items was a ribeye, and they were out of that. We had a reservation at 5pm so it's crazy that they were out of stock of so many things at that time of day. Ambiance: very crazy and unique atmosphere as far as the decorations and the menu descriptions. However it felt too much at times, and the lack of music in the restaurant kind of killed the mood.
