My very first time ever here & what a cool venue! The acoustics here are perfect for any kind of music, as I found out. Great bartenders here for your drink pleasures but the only food you can get here are snack-sized bags of chips or pretzels. Small dance floor & as far as seats go it's wise to arrive early if you want to sit & enjoy the band. Parking lot is small too. I was here to see Cold Shott & the Hurricane Horns & they draw a great crowd.

This place has been on my Phoenix bucket list! What a cool live music venue! Cash cover at the door so that was a little inconvenient, but otherwise it was awesome. You need to get there fairly early to get a table depending on The band I'm guessing. The band was incredible. Cold Shott and the Hurricane Horns. If you love a good fuck band you need to see them play. Drinks were average price for Phoenix.

This is a great venue to visit if you like being up and close to the band. The Rhythm Room has been around for as long as I can remember and holds a couple hundred people. They have been voted "Best Club for Blues" in Phoenix in previous years. My buddy and I used to come here quite regularly to see rockabilly shows before he passed away. Over the years, we saw Dale Watson, Johnny Boyd, JD McPherson, The 5.6.7.8's and The Reverend Horton Heat. I miss catching these shows with that guy. The Rhythm Room can get pretty crowded, but it is a fun venue. There is an area outside that you can hang out to smoke or if you just want to get some fresh air. The only thing that sucks is that the parking lot is really small. Get here early if you want a spot or you have to park across the street on some side street and hope you don't get towed. This area of town is a little sketchy too.

Went to this bar after a dinner date for the first time but will not be my last. I love live music and I love me some Blues. There was some talent on that stage for sure! I'm from the south and moved to Az in November. This place felt like home in many ways. It was a mature crowd , no drama; just good fun and great service at the bar!

I can't believe I have not been here before! Had the opportunity on Sunday evening to see Taj Farrant who is an unbelievable guitarist at just 15 years old. Never saw Hendrix or Prince before, and Sunday, they must have been smiling down on the Rhythm Room. This venue has been around since 1991and if you like the Blues, you need to checkout the venue. The building has a large bar, four walls and a stage. If you are early, you may get to sit on a bar stool or folding chair. It's really not about the ambience, it's about the music and being in a room with many people who appreciate great music.

This place is the one of the oldest blues/jazz clubs in Phoenix. It wears its' age with style and grace.... Some would simply call it COOOOL! There's no food except for an occasional food truck but the bar is stocked and the beer is cold. The venue itself provides a stage for acts from a bygone era in music. And God Bless Them for doing so! Bob C, you're a legend.

As local music venues go this one doesn't get much better. Nice intimate space where you can listen (and drink) to local and famous alike! You never know what or who is going to show up at the Rhythm Room. Get on there mailing list and check this place out. Best place and best price to see an intimate show.

Ask the Community - Rhythm Room

My wife and I were in Phoenix on New Years Eve last year and were looking for a place to dance to blues/ funk bands and found the perfect venue at the Rhythm Room. If we go on another date is it going to be as good?

What?! You're the only judge of that. You need to call them for assurances.

    Is it 21+ only?

    Yes.

    Is the room non-smoking?

Since the remodel, it has a really swanky vibe that gives you that jazz club feeling. (Just bring a sweater because it can get really chilly in there!) Unfortunately, the drink situation is a bit of a racket. You cannot get water without paying for it (they only will sell pricey bottled waters), and even if you're just getting soda water from the fountain, they will charge your four dollars for a refill! My husband paid $12 for 3 small cups of soda water with a bunch of ice on a recent visit. You can buy cases of seltzer for that price! Their cocktails and wines are on point with other local establishments, but charging $4 for water - especially in Phoenix - feels a little scammy.

This RoRo staple has gotten even better since the remodel a couple years back! We most recently stopped by for a free First Friday performance, when a lovely quartet took the stage. Seats cleared out quickly during the break, and we were able to grab a nice side view. The acoustics were perfect all throughout the room -- loud enough to be immersed in the music, but quiet enough for groups to easily chat. The gorgeous lighting and velvety curtains behind the stage really add to the ambiance. The staff was super attentive, walking around to take drink and food orders. The food isn't anything crazy, but I still enjoyed the charcuterie plate as little snack (and a way to support this amazing local venue during the free set!). Highly recommend this incredible jazz club!

We used the valet parking as the signage was a bit unclear, so it seemed the easier solution than going up and down stairs to find Geordie's. The entrance had the open feeling of a grand house, with the wrought iron staircase and the beautiful ceiling, terracotta tiles and wood furnishings. There was a wedding party in the large restaurant area that we passed on the way to our table in a separate area. The table was set with care and the rose petals were such a thoughtful touch! As a European I was pleasantly surprised by a small velvet covered stool, placed by my side, for my purse: these touches made the evening even more memorable. No rushing to seat more people or a check arriving while still deciding if something else was going to be ordered. I do enjoy a real meal in a real restaurant, with table linens, linen napkins, the proper glasses, the good silverware. Nick was taking care of our table and was very attentive to anything we may have needed. The cocktails we had were the " Ready, Fire, Aim" with rye whiskey, Drambuie, St Remy and bitters, and the "Dr Vincent's Penicillin" with scotch, lemon, honey, ginger and Laphroaig spritz: both were delicious. For the meal I had the Risotto made with Carnaroli rice, oyster mushrooms, truffle and asparagus; for me the risotto was just a bit over but it was creamy and all of it eaten! The Scallop Ceviche was fabulous, thinly sliced served with auicos, sliced jalapeño, leche de tigre : my chile allergy wouldn't let me taste this dish, but my partner ate it all so definitely good :) The main course consisted of the prime Filet for me, cooked perfectly!! to my medium-rare with emphasis on rare, served on pommes purée and enjoyed to the last bite; the other order was for the dry smoked Branzino (sea bass) with olive tapenade, artichoke and tomato: the fish was so moist and tasty, the skin crispy, and was presented beautifully. For dessert we shared the "Milk and Honey" which is a twist on panna cotta with brown buttercream and honeycomb. With dessert I had my usual after dinner espresso with a shot Sambuca to go with it. Thank you Nick for taking such good care of us. A perfect meal and ambiance for a special night

The venue felt significantly oversold, to the point where it was nearly impossible to move comfortably. From where I was standing, I couldn't see the stage at all, which made it hard to enjoy the performance I came to see. Beyond just being crowded, it felt unsafe. The number of people packed into the space seemed excessive, and I genuinely question whether it exceeded fire code limits. People were standing all the way back into the bar area. Navigating through the crowd was difficult, and there didn't appear to be enough room for people to exit easily if needed. I've been to this venue since its 2017 opening and had much better experiences, but this event felt poorly managed. I hope they take crowd capacity and guest safety more seriously in the future.

Last time we were there was to see one of our favorites, Black Pistol Fire, this past spring. We love that band and have seen them perform many times, we were happy they played at crescent. They have such great energy during shows and the lead singer always gets into the crowd, last time he went over to the back bar and played guitar on it. Was pretty awesome! This recent time we went to see rapper Intuition from LA. He was opening for Wax & Dj Hoppa. They were new to me, but it was a great hip hop show. Generally the sound is good in the venue and they have a bar up front with some seating. Behind the curtain where the stage is, there's a bar back too. There are also bleachers but I usually don't sit on them, but they are there if needed. Cocktails are like regular bar prices, and good thing, they are quality drinks. I had the whiskey sour and old fashioned. Both were very good with quality spirits. At $16, they should be good and not some afterthought cocktail. They also have beers on tap for like $8. I'll definitely be back for another show at some point. Until then, cheers!

Our family has loved watching these films for quite some time now so we were excited to hear the music performed live by a string quartet. Of course, the huge draw here is to watch these musicians perform surrounded by dozens and dozens of candles. The ambiance you feel when entering the room is very calming and zen. Honestly, I think they could have done a little better- maybe had more candles lifted off the ground or had them more artfully arranged. Also for the price of admission I wish the artists would have played longer. Those two gripes aside, the quartet who played was fantastic. They were skilled musicians who were very enthusiastic. The music was beautifully choreographed, the transitions were tight, and everything felt really well-timed and intentional. Nothing dragged, nothing felt sloppy -- just solid production all around. And let's talk about the standout moment for me: "Chop Suey!" by System of a Down. When I tell you it was ON POINT -- I mean chills. Absolute chef's kiss. For $86 a ticket, I 100% felt like I got my money's worth. Ninety minutes, great musicians, strong production, and a totally different kind of concert experience than your typical night out. I'd definitely go again. Also -- stage décor was phenomenal. The candles + lighting + drama? Yes. It really pulled the whole thing together. If you like rock, orchestral twists, and a little theatrical flair (or a lot of it), this is worth checking out. A perfect date night for a couple that's into new and exciting experiences with a bit of a price tag.
