I cannot praise these guys enough! 5 stars truly isn't enough recognition!! They are the utmost professionals and work fast! Let me go into a bit more detail and explain why I am so happy with my experience(s). Back in June, I was in a front end collision when someone pulled out in front of me and allowed me to hit them in my 1966 Cadillac Coupe Deville Convertible. The front end was completely smashed, radiator busted, and looked beyond repair. I wasn't sure if insurance would cover it or if I would even be able to find a shop that could find parts for a car so old. After calling at least 5 different shops in Napa Valley (where I currently live), I finally called another auto body shop in Marin that I have had great work done by. They referred me to Rhodwork since I was wanting a classic worked on and they told me that Rhode (the owner) is the best in the business. After calling Rhode, and having a 30 minute conversation with me about what my options were with not only insurance but also never had any doubt he could fix my baby. Unlike every other shop I called which said they didn't want to take on the job because it would take up too much space and time, Rhode told me that he prefers to work on classics and that they specialize in them. I was confident after speaking with him I found the right body shop, They actually even arranged to have my car towed from Fairfield (where another shop refused to work on it) to Marin without me having to worry about it. After 3 months, he not only fixed my car, he made it look even better than it was before! The paint had been a little bit off from sun damage and he was able to match the original color!!! We also had the chrome redone and it looks brand new! They are absolute perfectionists and when I brought the car back for a touch up, Rhode actually found a couple other spots that needed to be touched up (from age not the accident) and insisted on fixing them at no extra cost. This shop epitomizes what good business is! I will from now on take my classic car to them and only them for any body work or paint work needed in the future. For anyone that has a classic car in the Bay Area, do yourself a favor and save time, money, and a headache by going to Rhodwork before anywhere else!! Dude. What?! Really?!! These guys are amazing. And when I say these guys, I mean the whole entire lot of them working here. My car was damaged while it was parked, by a guy backing up. Fortunately it wasn't a hit and run and I was able to get his insurance. Unfortunately, it took me almost a year to finally get my baby in the shop. When I took it in, I noted to Rhody & Marcus (who are just absolutely adorable) some other things I needed to get fixed, including some work that wasn't exactly body work. They worked closely with the insurance company to make sure they'd cover all the issues the accident caused, including getting me a rental for almost 2 weeks, and then went WAAAAY above and beyond by not only fixing the other things I requested, and returning my baby to me looking better than new (seriously) but the price they charged me is ludicrous!! I mean that in the best way possible. I have no idea how they did what they did, for the price they did, but being as broke as I am (because I have this stupid car payment) it's SOOOO AMAZING to have my car looking as it should. And not only did they work their magic on my car or my wallet, but the consistent phone calls, and messages they left when I couldn't answer, explaining the whole situation of what was going on, really put me at ease. Marcus has an amazing bedside manner, if you will, and a voice that is very calming. Marilyn was just such a doll. Brought my car in here recently after a referral from a friend. They were incredibly friendly and very helpful. Although they were not on my insurer's list of approved autobody shops they matched the insurer's prices. At the same time, my damaged car has been around the block, and they were willing to work with me to make sure that the car's repairs were covered by the insurance even though the damages were creeping close to the "totaled" value of the car. I was lucky enough to be recommended to Rhodwork by both Mellow Motors and Marin Motorsports, two excellent shops who have both worked on my Minicooper. I had been trying to clean some bird crap off my car door and had accidentally used an abrasive and damaged the paint. I don't mean just a little spot either; there were a good few inches of solid white. I immediately thought that this was something that was going to cost me anywhere upward from five hundred dollars. Not only did Marco do the work for slightly over a $100, he actually spent twenty minutes removing tree sap from my car completely for free. And this was before I'd even set an appointment or paid him a dime for the paint job! Other than the SUPERIOR service and (EXTREMELY) reasonable rates here's what I appreciated most. We all know the feeling of taking our cars into a mechanic or autotech after we've done something stupid and dreading not just the estimate but that look from the guy behind the counter that seems to say.... "you moron." Even the best mechanics are guilty of this, and in this case (where I'd single-handedly ruined my own paint job) I had a sinking feeling every time I thought of the look I'd be getting. But not with Marcos. He maintained his affable smile and just said "yeah I see things like this all the time" then gave me an estimate and helped me with the sap. read more

He is beyond superbly competent, knowledgable, gracious, patient, not to mention funny, personable, and always a gentleman; he's an artist who cares about you, about doing the job right, and he will tutor and guide you through every aspect of the process, and then some -- he knows how to deal with the insurance companies and knows all their individual quirks, and will work with the adjustors to get the absolute most bang for your buck. great owners! I forgot his name but I brought my minivan in to fix the bumper before we sell it. I have a Toyota Sienna and a Lexus LX 470. We cant keep 3 cars in Marin for space reasons. We decided to get rid of the minivan for ski reasons, though my kids and I were sad to see it go. The bumper was looking like it wouldpop out of the car and we thought it was because of the way it was either made or our parking skills or lack of parking skills. He could have gotten us to pay $3k to replace the whole darn thing (I pointed out the Lexus, because it pretty much has the same bumper and that's how much my last body shop in NM charged to get it fixed (definitely not our fault, someone backed into us in a parking lot). But Rhodworks said it was because of the after market hitch I had installed on it for the bike rack. He came up with a very clever and cheap solution (some washers) and fixed it for me on the spot for $20. I will definitely recommend him and bring my cars back if ( hopefully not) they need it. read more

My 10+ year old RAV4 looks almost like new; Rhody and his crew fixed two banged-up fenders, and removed or cosmetically-hid a lot of small dings, and found and repaired a rattle somewhere in the back. In addition, when they were repairing the rear fender, they discovered (behind the banged-up fender) a broken passenger cabin air filter valve (something like that, anyhow), told me about it and got it repaired (so no one would get asphyxiated!). Between me and my daughter parking and driving daily in Marin and SF, we've dented a bunch of cars---BMW, Mini, VW, Miata---some our fault and some the fault of the other driver. So I have multiple experiences with this company and they're always great. No matter what the situation, I find that Rhody is fair and honest, a clear communicator, and also one of my people---a music lover and long-time marin resident.
