Just about as good could be. I had damage behind the bumper cover and, as a Lexus owner, I was nervous about the cost of repair. Found Rhody just down the lane from Lexus and everything about the experience was great. He was flexible, gave a well detailed estimate, with a few maybes. He met the estimate and the repair looks and feels great. Hopefully won't need him for a while but Rhodwork will be my high quality go to for any car repairs. read more

I couldn't have received better service! My damaged car was returned to me in perfect condition. Not only was the repair work flawless, but the inside and outside of my car was cleaner than it has ever been. And last, but not least, the interaction with both the receptionist, Kim, and the owner of the shop, Rhody, was both professional and super friendly. Thanks Rhodwork! You are the best! read more

Rhody Ringrose and Rhodwork is without doubt the most professional, highest quality service and attention to detail than any other body shop I have ever used. More knowledgeable than anyone I know, he explains the process from start to finish and does an impeccable job. Plus, he delivered my car cleaner than it's been in months - inside and out. If ever you need your car worked on, don't hesitate to call them. The best bodyshop in the business!!! read more

I have nothing but great things to say about Rhodwork! After the front of my brand new car was ran over by a 17' Uhaul I knew I wouldn't let anyone else do the work on my car! I brought my car here because I trust Rhodwork and the work they do! My car was finished and repaired as good as new! As I knew it would be! I can't thank the crew at Rhodwork enough for making my car beautiful once again! There is no doubt in my mind that should anything happen to my car again... Rhodwork will be the first place I call!!! read more

If there were a picture next to the phrase "customer service"...it would be Rhody! He was recommended to me by my mechanic of 25 years as being honest. To that I would add candid, informative, supportive and a helpful advisor. His followup is phenomenal. He went beyond anything I imagined! Front office staff were also friendly, personable, efficient. Anyone who wants a superb body work job that is also a pleasant experience must work with Rhody and his team at Rhodwork! read more

Another great experience with Rhodwork. Thank you for taking time with me to explain what was wrong with my front end, why it was important and fixing it with care. Feel lucky to know you're there for me due to my master curb skills. read more

Rhody did an amazing job repairing the front passenger end and light of our recently purchased Camry. Rhody was helpful from the first phone call we made telling him about the problem. He gave us good suggestions, took time to explain things, and repaired the car to be good as new. We highly recommend Rhody. Thank you. read more

If you want your car done by a true group of professionals this is the place to go!!! I was in an accident and got an estimate at Rhodworks and I had gone to two other places as well. Rhody took the time to explain to me what they would do to my car and why. I said I would get back to him in a few days. A couple of days later Rhody called me to see if I was OK and if there was anything else he could do to make my situation any easier. WOW!! I thought what great customer service! I explained to him that I would be bringing my car in to be repaired. When I picked up my car a few days later I couldn't believe how great it looked! If you want your car done right take it here!! You'll be glad you did! I know I am!! Thanks guys! read more

Rhodworks is awesome. I recently got in a big accident and my poor prius was pretty banged up. I also had a complicated insurance situation and everyone at Rhodworks really went above and beyond to help me in any way they could. Marko is a sweet, honest, good guy that really took the time to explain all my different options, listened to my concerns, answered all my many questions and went the extra mile. Even Marylin, the lovely lady in the office, was offering her help and support. The Rhodworks team are compassionate and genuine (tough to find) and to top that the car turned out great! They made a rough time much more bearable. Thank you! If anyone needs bodywork this is the place to go :) read more

I read all the reviews before I went to see Rhody. Everything other people said on Yelp was definitely true. From the very beginning, Rhody took the time to talk me through the process. He knew all the ins and outs of dealing with insurance. He immediately put ease in my mind knowing my wife's baby was in good hands. When I picked up the car after the holiday break, I realize Rhody not only can talk, his workmanship is superb. The dent was gone. The paint job was seamless. I hope I do not have to use Rhody's help anymore, but if some unlucky one out there searching for help, please, please talk to Rhody first. read more

Another ridiculously satisfied customer here. These folks are as good as it gets.....knowledgeable, quick and reasonable. Thanks again for finding a simple quick solution to my bumper problems. Kim has a magic wand to fix whatever you break on your car. read more

Best Auto Body Shop in San Rafael. Took two of my trucks there when I lived in Marin County. Rhody was referred to me by a coworker as I was new to the area. Good quality work, and I'm a really picky guy. If it's not perfect, I'm complaining. They did perfect work at a fair price. I'd recommend then to anyone in Marin County. read more

Rhodwork - San Rafael Autobody Shop - Body Shops Near Me - San Rafael, California

After my car was vandalized and splashed with paint Rhody immediately took care of all my estimated insurance paperwork needs efficiently. I loved his compassion, professionalism and knowledge on cars. My car is looking good again. read more

Did a super wonderful repair on my car. Not the first time. I would recommend them to anyone. Caring, personable, excellent work, kept us up to date. Thank you read more

Luckily I don't need an auto body shop often but this is where I always go and I've been coming here for years. They do very good work and Rhody is always a pleasure to talk with. This is the number one place to go for fine bodywork. If you love your car bring it here. If you don't love it, you will when it's done. read more

It's easy to like this place. They do the work, do it right and get you out the door. I would give them a 5* but I don't want anyone to think I am being disingenuous. read more

I cannot praise these guys enough! 5 stars truly isn't enough recognition!! They are the utmost professionals and work fast! Let me go into a bit more detail and explain why I am so happy with my experience(s). Back in June, I was in a front end collision when someone pulled out in front of me and allowed me to hit them in my 1966 Cadillac Coupe Deville Convertible. The front end was completely smashed, radiator busted, and looked beyond repair. I wasn't sure if insurance would cover it or if I would even be able to find a shop that could find parts for a car so old. After calling at least 5 different shops in Napa Valley (where I currently live), I finally called another auto body shop in Marin that I have had great work done by. They referred me to Rhodwork since I was wanting a classic worked on and they told me that Rhode (the owner) is the best in the business. After calling Rhode, and having a 30 minute conversation with me about what my options were with not only insurance but also never had any doubt he could fix my baby. Unlike every other shop I called which said they didn't want to take on the job because it would take up too much space and time, Rhode told me that he prefers to work on classics and that they specialize in them. I was confident after speaking with him I found the right body shop, They actually even arranged to have my car towed from Fairfield (where another shop refused to work on it) to Marin without me having to worry about it. After 3 months, he not only fixed my car, he made it look even better than it was before! The paint had been a little bit off from sun damage and he was able to match the original color!!! We also had the chrome redone and it looks brand new! They are absolute perfectionists and when I brought the car back for a touch up, Rhode actually found a couple other spots that needed to be touched up (from age not the accident) and insisted on fixing them at no extra cost. This shop epitomizes what good business is! I will from now on take my classic car to them and only them for any body work or paint work needed in the future. For anyone that has a classic car in the Bay Area, do yourself a favor and save time, money, and a headache by going to Rhodwork before anywhere else!! Trust me, I went through the hassle for you!! read more

Dude. What?! Really?!! These guys are amazing. And when I say these guys, I mean the whole entire lot of them working here. My car was damaged while it was parked, by a guy backing up. Fortunately it wasn't a hit and run and I was able to get his insurance. Unfortunately, it took me almost a year to finally get my baby in the shop. When I took it in, I noted to Rhody & Marcus (who are just absolutely adorable) some other things I needed to get fixed, including some work that wasn't exactly body work. They worked closely with the insurance company to make sure they'd cover all the issues the accident caused, including getting me a rental for almost 2 weeks, and then went WAAAAY above and beyond by not only fixing the other things I requested, and returning my baby to me looking better than new (seriously) but the price they charged me is ludicrous!! I mean that in the best way possible. I have no idea how they did what they did, for the price they did, but being as broke as I am (because I have this stupid car payment) it's SOOOO AMAZING to have my car looking as it should. And not only did they work their magic on my car or my wallet, but the consistent phone calls, and messages they left when I couldn't answer, explaining the whole situation of what was going on, really put me at ease. Marcus has an amazing bedside manner, if you will, and a voice that is very calming. Marilyn was just such a doll. She even ended up talking to my mom when the insurance company was being annoying and I was working a lot. And Rhody, where to begin with him... He is not only a master at what he does, but an incredible person too. Plus he's a Burner so you know he's got his values in check. ;) read more

Brought my car in here recently after a referral from a friend. They were incredibly friendly and very helpful. Although they were not on my insurer's list of approved autobody shops they matched the insurer's prices. At the same time, my damaged car has been around the block, and they were willing to work with me to make sure that the car's repairs were covered by the insurance even though the damages were creeping close to the "totaled" value of the car. I'd definitely use them again. read more

This is my second, or maybe third time, using Rhodworks and they are fantastic. Top notch service and customer service is fantastic. I can't recommend them enough. Marco is a good honest guy and I'd recommend them w/out hesitation. read more

I was lucky enough to be recommended to Rhodwork by both Mellow Motors and Marin Motorsports, two excellent shops who have both worked on my Minicooper. I had been trying to clean some bird crap off my car door and had accidentally used an abrasive and damaged the paint. I don't mean just a little spot either; there were a good few inches of solid white. I immediately thought that this was something that was going to cost me anywhere upward from five hundred dollars. Not only did Marco do the work for slightly over a $100, he actually spent twenty minutes removing tree sap from my car completely for free. And this was before I'd even set an appointment or paid him a dime for the paint job! Other than the SUPERIOR service and (EXTREMELY) reasonable rates here's what I appreciated most. We all know the feeling of taking our cars into a mechanic or autotech after we've done something stupid and dreading not just the estimate but that look from the guy behind the counter that seems to say.... "you moron." Even the best mechanics are guilty of this, and in this case (where I'd single-handedly ruined my own paint job) I had a sinking feeling every time I thought of the look I'd be getting. But not with Marcos. He maintained his affable smile and just said "yeah I see things like this all the time" then gave me an estimate and helped me with the sap. read more

A few weeks ago, my Prius was rear ended, just days before we were planning to sell it. We'd taken our other car to Rhodworks and I remembered how great the service was. So when the Prius was banged up, I just drove it directly to Rhodworks. The office staff was very sympathetic and helpful in determining how to proceed with the claim. I explained that we were hoping to sell the car soon. Everyone there worked together to get the repair scheduled and completed promptly. They helped me with the insurance claim from start to finish, so I didn't have to worry about the cost. Everyone at this company is kind, professional and helpful. If you have to have your car in the shop, this is the way to actually enjoy it! Thank you to everyone at Rhodwork! read more

My boyfirend recommended this shop and Marco. Someone hit my front bumper in a parking lot and broke the clips on my front bumper. I have been in graduate school and haven't had the time to get it fixed. Marco patiently worked on getting the bumper back in place with the proper clips. I didn't think it could be fixed I let it go so long. Rhodework "ROCKS!". My 10 year old V70 Volvo looks good again. Thanks Marco! In my experience...so many other body shops in San Rafael are so greedy. read more

Hard to find enough superlatives for Rhody and his entire staff -- I can't think of anything that hasn't been said already, and all the words of praise are spot-on! He is beyond superbly competent, knowledgable, gracious, patient, not to mention funny, personable, and always a gentleman; he's an artist who cares about you, about doing the job right, and he will tutor and guide you through every aspect of the process, and then some -- he knows how to deal with the insurance companies and knows all their individual quirks, and will work with the adjustors to get the absolute most bang for your buck. I've had more occasions to go to him than I care to think about over the years (not my fault, I swear, just bad luck!), and my car ALWAYS comes back looking better than ever. Don't think twice, he's the best you'll find. read more

great owners! I forgot his name but I brought my minivan in to fix the bumper before we sell it. I have a Toyota Sienna and a Lexus LX 470. We cant keep 3 cars in Marin for space reasons. We decided to get rid of the minivan for ski reasons, though my kids and I were sad to see it go. The bumper was looking like it wouldpop out of the car and we thought it was because of the way it was either made or our parking skills or lack of parking skills. He could have gotten us to pay $3k to replace the whole darn thing (I pointed out the Lexus, because it pretty much has the same bumper and that's how much my last body shop in NM charged to get it fixed (definitely not our fault, someone backed into us in a parking lot). But Rhodworks said it was because of the after market hitch I had installed on it for the bike rack. He came up with a very clever and cheap solution (some washers) and fixed it for me on the spot for $20. I will definitely recommend him and bring my cars back if ( hopefully not) they need it. read more

Thank you Rhodwork for repairing my leased car so that it looks like I never backed into my husbands car that was hiding in the driveway. : ) This team is professional, honest and got a quote back to me right away. Even though it was a busy time, all the work was done right away, working with me to get the car back so that I could pick up relatives that were coming to visit from out of town. read more

Rhodework is simply the best, I have had two great experiences here with my own vehicles and now that I've referred my father, he now gets all of his body work done with Rhode. Honest, and amazing results. read more

Rhodworks Auto Body is amazing! Rhody and Kevin are both very personable and extremely knowledgable. The free estimate gave me a good idea of what needed to be fixed right away and what could wait. They did the work quickly and I am highly satisfied with the results. I would definitely bring my car to them again if the need arose. I recommend them for both the capable work and affordability. read more

My 10+ year old RAV4 looks almost like new; Rhody and his crew fixed two banged-up fenders, and removed or cosmetically-hid a lot of small dings, and found and repaired a rattle somewhere in the back. In addition, when they were repairing the rear fender, they discovered (behind the banged-up fender) a broken passenger cabin air filter valve (something like that, anyhow), told me about it and got it repaired (so no one would get asphyxiated!). Reasonably and competitively priced. Definitely highly recommended! read more

The owner will draw you in to get the work, by making all kind of promises. Later on you will find out that not only he will not do what he said , but over bill you and sub contract some of the work. I would stay away from that shop at all cost. If you fall for the sales pitch you will find out the hard way by getting bills after bills and very little progress. Their competence is really limited and if you want a high quality job with little headache..move on $33,000 for a paint job plus dozen hours of babysitting..that's not really what you would call over delivering on their part.. you have been warned read more

My Toyota Sienna was rear-ended right before the holidays. I drove it to Rhodwork the next morning and they took care of the rest. I never even had to talk to the adjustor. And now that I have my car back, I couldn't be more pleased with the quality of work. Everything is perfect. My husband is much more critical than I and spent a long time looking at the details from every angle - and he said everything looks great. Did a nice job replacing front and back bumpers and headlight assembly. I can't say enough good things about Rhody! Great communicator, excellent work, great people skills and timely. I would recommend him to anyone without hesitation! read more

Rhodworks is the best body shop in San Rafael. Between me and my daughter parking and driving daily in Marin and SF, we've dented a bunch of cars---BMW, Mini, VW, Miata---some our fault and some the fault of the other driver. So I have multiple experiences with this company and they're always great. No matter what the situation, I find that Rhody is fair and honest, a clear communicator, and also one of my people---a music lover and long-time marin resident. He and Marko always give a fair estimate and go the extra mile to make sure we're not inconvenienced or overcharged. The lady in the office is great too--they've all been there for a long time, which says alot for Rhody and his approach to business. The work is performed quickly and it's always top-notch. I just really feel like they listen and advocate for their clients, and care about doing a great job. I'll always take my car there when I crash it! read more

Rhodwork's autobody repair is meticulous. They are honest and will do the best job for you

By far the best bodywork shop I've used. I have been to three bodyshops in Marin for different nicks here and there on my car and received shoty work or absurd prices but when I received my estimate here I was pleasantly surprised. After waiting an hour or so to get my paint repaired from malicious waterspots I came out to see what looked like a brand new paint job. I see no reason to go anywhere else if you care about quality workmanship and down to earth pricing. Thank you Rhodwork! read more
