I never give reviews, but I was blown away by these guys. I needed a new bumper on my Tesla. They worked directly with the insurance company, making it very easy for me. They matched the other estimate I got. They provided a loaner Prius at $25/day which is what the insurance company covered. When I went to pick it up, there was one spot they missed. They were very apologetic, as it was in the estimate. To make up for the delay, they went way out of their way to make me happy. Complete detailing of my car, removed some minor scratches and fixed a couple of small rock dents in the hood. Then they waxed the whole car. I looked like it just came off the showroom. if I could give it 0 stars I would . undffortunately I have to write a bad review which I hate to do . I'm writing this because I took my car to this shop after and accident I explained what needed to be fixed and they said yes . I had the insurance drop it off to them just for them to add more damage to the car and they totaled it after both the insurance and the shop said they could fix it . they left me with a 3,500 balance which the insurance deducted from the car beacause of the added damage. I looked up 5 star body shops around me and Whitmans came up , who doesn't like 5 star places although in this situation it clearly isn't . I do not recommend this place at all . read more

I have been bringing my car bear for the last seven years. Patrick is who I usually get on the phone. He is straight forward, a no nonsense guy and his assessment of whatever issues I have with my car, are never over estimated. The quality of work is stellar. I also had some chips in my paint due to dings and rather than tell me to come in for an expensive pain job, he had me come in and saw that all they needed were some touch ups so as not to rust, I could do myself with a paint applicator I could buy from them. I have a classic BMW M6 that had a few scrapes on the front spoiler and someone I know suggested I go to Whitman's. I went over to Whitman's and Patrick took a look at it and immediately gave me a price and gave me some additional great advice for the car. When the work was done I went over the pick up the car and I was amazed at the job that Patrick and his team did!!! The paint job was great and the detail job took out many imperfections. I sent a quote request via yelp for a small scratch. Or what I thought was a scratch in a crevice of my back gate. They responded right away and suggested I stop by for an accurate quote. Walked in and Patrick was the only one in the office and super busy but he popped up to help. Walked out to the car and he realized I just had a sticker left over on the car (and it looked like a scratch). Doh! He pulled it off, cleaned it and sent me on my way. I drive a 75 steel body, my only car. Gets hit and takes very slight damage to rear bumper where the left bottom corner has slightly rolled in a few inches sooner than designed; the exhaust is also moved to the right slightly; and my taillight broke, but had no body damage Told a week for fix, they have the insurance !!Start work in January, get car back in April!! MONTHS later, after being told 1 week each week instead of a realistic timeline - not allowing me to plan for the long haul. I'm biking and bussing and taxiing everywhere. Someone must have bribed and jumped the line - was told it was a parts delay for tail light (but my cousin with later model of same vehicle just had practically the exact same job done in LA in two days; I've found it's usually worth the drive down to get things done) I finally get the car, and the bumper's been put back on so the trunk won't open, and they used the wrong light in tail light. The exhaust has been slightly pitched back in the proper direction, but it's seal is broken and not been repaired. Told that's an extra cost. I ended up having this all corrected with another shop I wish I'd never got my car taken here. The damage to body was barely noticeable and I could have hand moved the exhaust back the same quality as they'd done The car was also stored outside during that time, with no protection. Had both RUST for the first time, as well as SUN damage to leather, cloth, plastic, and wood If there truly was a delay in parts, I would have appreciated their releasing the car to me until parts arrived - and not dissembling and waiting Possible this wasn't allowed because insurance They did a nice job at least navigating insurance to properly cover repairs. They were all pleasant individuals and very grateful for my patience - but the storage damage and stuck trunk, with wrong light after all that time - I was done. The wait alone had really upset my life. read more
