I would have never thought there would be a body shop in San Anselmo until one of my friends brought me to this hidden gem of a location. It is in the heart of Downtown San Anselmo in between a gas station and service station and right across from the old Safeway. Went to visit the shop after someone backed up into my car which resulted in damage to the front grill area. Also came here because it's a Lexus Authorized Collision Center and because I heard about the great work performed. The process on getting the damage fixed was clear and straight forward. I dropped my vehicle and picked it up a week later and was greeted with a finished product; the front grill and any associated parts were put well in place (looks stock). Almost three years ago, I had moved to Marin from SF and needed some minor work done on my 2008 Honda Fit's bumpers and pulled into Luxe. Lorenzo immediately put me at ease, even though the bill came out way more than I expected. Problem was that they had to order specialized parts for my "Old Sport" and the driver's side of the front bumper was missing a screw and had become dettached. Luxe did a really beautiful job of making the car look pretty near to new again. But, within a couple of weeks, the front dislodged itself again. At a routine service check, Honda of Marin installed another new screw in the same spot. But, last month the scraping sound that had accompanied the loosening of the front came back on and daily became louder. Now, I had a real fear of going back to the auto body shop which also intensified with time. How could I make them understand and believe that my car was still not fixed? Now, I am a strong woman, having become a widow at 56 when my husband of 35 years passed away suddenly while we were on a Fourth of July vacation with our two youngest children. So, I've faced a lot of fears! But, as a disabled widow, I'm used to not being listened to or even glanced at and was really intimidated. But, it turned out that I needn't be as Diego at Luxe patiently listened to my pity party and correctly discovered a radiator cover hanging loose under my car. Luxe Collision - Car wedged against tree stump - Body Shops Near Me - San Anselmo, California

After searching Marin County and one shop in Sonoma County for total car painting services, I was most fortunate to find Lux Collision in San Anselmo. Lux Collison was one of four different auto body shops that I was considering for the work. Norberto Salas, the owner, took a special labor-of-love interest in my 2001 Jaguar S-type and gave me several proposals on how to best proceed with repainting the vehicle. The car's clear coat finish was sun burnt on the hood and roof and was beginning to show signs of faded paint in other previously repaired areas. There were other relatively minor collision related issues that needed fixing. I was looking for a 1st class, high quality paint job without shortcuts and Norberto walked me through the entire process and gave me a tour of his painting facility which included the latest modern technology available for body work repair and repainting. Instead of calling Uber to take me to a rental car company in Mill Valley, Norberto drove me there in his personal vehicle and we each had a chance to discuss our past backgrounds, particular Norberto's. He has a long history of auto body repair work which started with his upbringing in Mexico. After moving to the United States, Norberto's auto body repair skills improved to the extent that he owned 3 reputable Bay Area body shops (San Anselmo, Fremont and San Rafael). Norberto, being very quality focused, found himself spending too much time windshield time traveling between the three shops to insure that his quality standards were being maintained. He decided to sell the Fremont and San Rafael shops and focused his energy and finances on making Lux Collision his pride and joy. One only needs to visit his shop to see first-hand the quality and capabilities of the facility, not to mention, a full house of customers' vehicles in for collision repair. The total time in shop turned out to be about 5 to 6 weeks but boy was it worth it. Norberto invited me over for several viewings of the progress and after the first viewing, there was little doubt that I had found the right shop for the quality of painting that I expected. All the glass was removed, including exterior trim and chrome. The interior door panels were removed as was the headliner which required replacement due to age. Some interior pieces that required replacement were hard to find given the vintage of my car but Norberto and his team were able to overcome these issues and found the parts to complete the interior work. The color match was perfect with the original paint and the clear coat that was applied was an extraordinarily high quality material. By the time the car was ready to be picked, it looked better than new which I never imagined could be possible. The reassembly of parts was carefully done to the extent that you couldn't tell they had ever been removed. There were a few minor interior reassembly issues that were promptly fixed to the extent that there was nothing short of 100% customer satisfaction. Lux Collision gives you a lifetime warranty to the paint job for as long as you own the vehicle. What more could you ask for! Who knew that collision repair could be such a pleasant experience. Our new car was damaged by a valet driver in Los Angelos and so when we got home, we dropped it by Luxe Collision for repair. It was our first time working with Luxe. Noberto and his group are amazing. They're about the nicest people one can imagine working with. They did a great job replacing the sunroof and repairing pretty serious damage. When we picked up the car, it made a squeaky old-car sort of groan. After a bit of sleuthing, Norberto walked me through why the car was making the noise (a welding issue by the manufacturer), and sent us an email with photos and an explanation we can now send on to the manufacture to have them repair as part of our warranty. Recently, our family managed a grand slam: my car, my wife's, and our son's all were damaged within a week! We all really care about our rides, and based on work Luxe Collision had done for us a few years ago, we put all three in their hands. Was the work outstanding? In all three cases - absolutely! Lily and her husband were very friendly and helpful during the repair intake process. However, it took them over FOUR WEEKS to repair our vehicle after they stated it would originally take 10-12 day. We also took advantage of their loaner car program during this extended time frame. We returned the car with a few minor scratches and they charged $800 to repair THEIR OWN CAR. Norberto is such a great person. His team has worked on my previous Lexus 400h 3 times before it's final demise from a large Fedex truck on 9/25. The body work done on all 3 occasions was excellent. When looking for a replacement I ordered a 2017 Lexus NX 200t F Sport - which came from Vroom in Texas. The car was originally from FL. My husband noted it looked like it had some body work done to it, so I took it to Norberto for an evaluation. He measure the paint across the entire body, and followed up with an email to Vroom. The car needed $10k in bodywork, and he advised me to return the car. He found bodywork even under the hood! LUXE COLLISION SAVES THE DAY. A dealership sold me a car with baked in waterspots. Then when they took it back to try and fix it, they backed into something or rear ended my brand new car and tried to give it back to me with swirl marks and a crazy dent. I had taken it for a few estimates, but Lorenzo at Luxe laid out a plan in detail, and made total sense. The part took longer to get than anticipated, COVID strikes again, but I got my car back and it was BEAUTIFUL. They polished out the whole car, made the black shine. Once I filed the initial claim with my insurance company, Luxe completely took over, working closely with my insurance company and making sure all of the estimates were submitted and approved. I never had to contact my insurance company again. They ordered parts, repaired the car, took it to BMW to get it recalibrated and detailed it in just over a week! They kept us informed along the way and completely took the sting out of having an accident. Their prices are competitive if not slightly lower. We dropped off the car at 7am because we were told that if we dropped it off when they open the job will be done by closing. We were told that if there are any changes they'd call. There were no phone calls. We called ahead to make sure that the car was ready but no one picked up like all the other times we've tried to call. When we went to pick up the car, they told us it won't be ready till the next day. It's a huge hassle to get there and be told that your car is not ready. read more

My car was involved in a 3 car crash. Original estimate was $24,200 and 1 month. After one month estimate was increased to $39,000 and another month. When I went to pick it up (now it had been there 2 months), I was asked to sign an estimate for $47,200. When I asked who authorized the additional $7800, the answer was no one. Eventually our insurance company paid the $47,200 which is higher than Kelly Blue Book market value. What a horrible experience. read more
