They will give you a low price quote to get your business but by the time they have your stuff already loaded on the truck you will be out thousands more than what you expected. They use 3rd party companies throughout the whole process to the point that when they pick up your items you don't even really know who the people are that took them. And the customer service rep or Manager or whoever she is named Mary will insult you if you have any questions or misunderstandings about anything. They are a horrible company. Very satisfied with the services given by this moving firm. Our specialist was really helpful. Arranging an onsite estimate was going to be a challenge, yet when he discovered our apartment or condo was available for sale and also images were up on property sites, he pulled up the images and also evaluated each furniture. We scheduled a long distance cross country move that was brokered to them by another carrier - who is in the process of trying to find another company for us. Rhino called the night before the scheduled move, arrived on time with what looked like a rent a truck We already had over $3500 in deposits on file with the company brokering to them. We had on hand the additional $1500+ cashiers check for Rhino - and when they showed up - they demanded $3500 - ( This would be over the binding estimate we were given). They kept asking us to write a personal check for the additional difference. They kept saying the move was more poundage - ( 1000 sq. ft apartment - not taking couches or loveseat or ottoman). Offered to follow them to the weigh station to verify the poundage. They stated they had no idea where it was. Told them it was in Temecula - they had no idea where that was either. Told them to hit the road - this is a rip off outfit - steer clear...who knows what would have happened with our stuff - now we have to find another mover - good thing we left leeway time for our relocation. Avoid this company. 1) They gave us an estimate for the move, but of course, when the movers showed up, they told us it would be nearly twice as much. As we had to be out of our apartment, we had no recourse. 2) They didn't tell us when we booked them that they had a shortage of drivers. The foreman of our move told us our belongings would arrive in Nashville on the day we wanted them to--July 16th. When we called to check up on the delivery date, the customer service rep at said no, our stuff would arrive 21 business days after pick up. Mary at Rhino said 21 business days AFTER the first available day that we'd told the foreman (so 21 business days after July 16th). We were midway through our drive across the country with different dates of delivery from three people. 3) Our items arrived a shady 21 business days only because they were delivered on Saturday, the day following the 21st business day. There was only the driver of the van to unload our furniture and boxes. ONE MAN. We live on the second floor of a house. He arrived around six pm in the evening, and would have been working well past midnight if he had unloaded the van himself. There's also no way that he could have carried up our TV console, our keyboard, our queen sized mattress and box spring, our dressers, etc up those stairs by himself safely or without dragging those items and causing damage to them. My partner and I helped him unload the van for hours--well past ten pm. So even though we paid thousands of dollars to not have to move our stuff, we had to move our stuff or have them broken by the one mover and be terrible human beings. 4) Multiple items were damaged--items we paid Rhino to pack. Nothing we packed ourselves was broken. An irreplaceable lamp from my grandparents is broken. Several of my dresses were scattered about the truck. My grandmother's wedding china from 1945 was in a box that was completely crushed despite being labeled as fragile. Miraculously none of the china was broken, but our items were not handled safely or respected. We have various dings and scratches on other items that Rhino's team packed and wrapped for us: our coffee table, our bookcases, and some picture frames. I asked the crew to pack my Kitchen Aid mixer. It was just thrown in a box without any packaging material at all. Ultimately, none of this experience was acceptable. We paid a lot of money for services that we didn't receive: our stuff was disrespected, broken, and if we'd wanted to unpack a truck ourselves, we would have rented a U-Haul and saved a lot of money. We have complained to Rhino and followed through with their claims department since August 2017. It's now May 2018, and they've only offered a few hundred dollars. Use anyone else to move. read more

I rarely post poor service ratings but this experience has been god awful. I'd give them negative stars if possible. They are unclear in their agreement's terms and services regarding WHEN my items would ship and WHEN I would receive. I called 7x to get some dim-wit human to tell me they don't know where my items are. When my items finally got to the destination 2 months later, half of my items were damaged or broken. The other half, I had to climb into the truck to find myself. All of my items had been packed in boxes and bins and even my bins were gnarled and damaged. 'Care' is not something they take with your item, even if marked 'Fragile.' DO NOT book with them. 'Guaranteed price' or not, not worth the poor service, damaged goods and high blood pressure. All their 3rd party contractors don't fair any better in terms of service and 'care' either - they threw the boxes and bins down onto concrete when the item says 'Fragile.' I would have paid the extra few hundred dollars difference between them and their competitors for a better experience and maybe half my items would be intact and usable. read more

After arrival, they greeted me really expertly and got to work right away, scoping out the job and getting things moving. They moved quickly however thoroughly, taking additional caution around tight bends when moving big products like couches and desks. All three were very friendly individuals, striking up conversations with both each other and with me. Dealing with the administration was very businesslike and professional. Our interactions were mostly made up of filling out kinds and emailing backward and forward, however everything was really clear and concerns were answered immediately. Finishing the deal was extremely simple and I'm very pleased with the result. As previously mentioned, I expect to hire Adam's once again in the future! After packing whatever up, they followed me (in my automobile) to the location, and steered a tight parking area extremely well to discharge everything. They were simply as fast there, bringing whatever exactly where it needed to go. Perk points for my carpet being simply as clean when they showed up as when they left! I scheduled my relocation for first thing in the early morning to prevent being pushed later on in the day due to delays from earlier tasks, and the 3 gentlemen who were appointed to my relocation left and arrived within a few minutes of their estimate. Our move from Los Angeles to Seattle was beyond atrocious. Rhino Relocation bid on our move from Long Distance Movers and it appears disregarded the original contract. It has been almost 2 months and have yet to reach a resolution. $169 from the claims department, when we had close to $12,000 worth of damage will not suffice. Between the blood, comments about race & complete unprofessionalism I would expect a full refund even if our stuff arrived flawlessly, which I assure you it did not. -At arrival we paid each mover (there were 5) $50 in gratuity to set the intention of having a flawless move. We were told that that once the driver showed up at our house we would know the route and exactly when our stuff would arrive. In reality, the driver said that our stuff was going to be unloaded in a warehouse. This was a surprise to us since we were told that our belongings would only be on one truck. -When Long Distance Movers brokered the deal, we paid for our $12,000 tv to put put in a protected tv box. In reality, Rhino Relocation chose to put our tv in a wardrobe box that was taped together. -We paid for our computer monitors to be put in a protected box and in reality they unscrewed, and wrapped in a blanket. Why were we charged for this? -We paid for our mattress to be put in a mattress case. In reality it was shrink wrapped and wrapped in a blanket. The lead mover from Rhino Relocation promised me that he would put it in a sealed bag once they got to the warehouse. In reality he did not. In reality the plastic ripped and who knows what kind of dust or debris infiltrated. The picture of this alone speaks volumes. -We paid for all of our lamps to be "expertly" packed. In reality they were all broken. Every single one. -We paid for our planters to be packed by the movers. In reality they were broken. -We paid for our furniture to be wrapped in moving blankets and protected. See below for damaged dressers etc. Ironically the only piece of furniture that didn't get damaged was our dining room table that I personally bubble wrapped and protected. -Tommy from Long Distance Movers told us that there wouldn't be a shuttle fee and that they do drop offs in downtown Seattle all the time. Night before our stuff was supposed to arrive, Nancy from Rhino relocation said we needed to pay $650 + elevator fees. Tommy from Long Distance texted that we should only pay $300. Nancy said that our stuff wouldn't be able to be delivered unless we paid. We decided to just settle and pay $600 with no elevator fees. This wouldn't have been an issue except we were clearly told that there would be no need for a shuttle and our original contract said "no elevator" fees. -When the movers showed up to deliver our stuff they appeared as if they came from Craigslist. Rhino Relocation, who Long Distance gave our contract to re-contracted with a separate company. I do not think this is allowed and I will be following up with DOT. I forgot the name of the company they said they were from but they were a mix of guys that honestly some of them seemed like they were on drugs. -We were told they would have runners or materials to protect the floor and walls. I ended up putting cardboard boxes down on the floor. We have scuffs on all of the walls and floors of our new apartment. I get that there is going to be some damage during a move but this is another example of being promised one thing and having something else be delivered. -One of the movers commented on me and Josh being in an inter-racial relationship. Completely unprofessional. You just have to turn on the news to realize that this is unacceptable. -The movers started taking pictures of our apartment and our view. Weird. Unprofessional. -Movers brought in boxes that were upside down, labeled "fragile" yet on the bottom of dollies. Why would Rhino Relocation do business with a moving company such as this? -We paid for our bed to be put back together. The driver who put it together BLED all over it. I think the blood came out of his nose which again leads me to think he was doing drugs. This is disgusting and unhygienic. I was the one who cleaned off the blood. His tools didn't work so the bed isn't put together correctly. Screws are sticking out potentially damaging our new mattress. I had to pay(This is a $1600 bed) to fix the slats. I am unsure what to do about the blood as it is really gross and potentially harmful to our health. -We paid for our furniture, tvs, monitors, coffee table, metal shelving etc. to be unwrapped and put back together. NONE of this happened. WE DID IT ALL. It clearly states in our contract with Long Distance Movers & Rhino Relocation that all of our furniture etc. would be reassembled. - To sum it up- pictures are worth a thousand words. read more

I received a call from Nancy who is in upper management. Along with her and Sharon I cannot tell you how apologetic they were. They both were kind and were really concerned with my problem with their company. They listened and they answered my questions. They gave me a refund of some of my money, not all but as much as they could account for. And for that I thank them. Unbelievable, simply not believable. I called in for a quote. I spoke to someone who quoted me a specific dollar amount. When you call in, it says "press 1 for a binding quote". I myself move four states over. I call in to confirm the quote, the representative acknowledges the amount. I do not book because of fraud on my credit card. My fault, I know, but I explain this to the rep and she advised that I'll be fine. This timeline here was ~5 days. Not a long time. I just got my new card. I call in to book the move. The rate has arbitrarily gone up by $155 because it's "summer season". The word "binding" doesn't mean anything here. It's $155 dollars. It won't hurt. But simply put, I refuse to do business with a company that does these kinds of shady things. I am honestly in a bit of shock because now I have to find new movers, as this group is pulling these kinds of fast ones. We had a terrible experience with the Rhino Relocation group. They arrived at our storage garage and then doubled the original quote. They demanded cash. They brought a four-man crew (costs extra) and then charged $100 extra for re-wrapping of our possessions. The final quote was beyond exorbitant, so when we eventually tried to "recapture" our possessions from Rhino's storage garage in Northridge, CA, they demanded an unfair price. We eventually overpaid just to retrieve our possessions and finally rented a truck and moved ourselves. I lived in California for a six-month period where I was freelancing for a website. I wanted to move back to Atlanta, Georgia and needed a moving service that would assist me with a long-distance move. I came across Rhino Relocation and was extremely pleased with the results. The price of the move was reasonable considering I was moving across the country. They weighed and priced my items using a government regulated weigh station, and I was impressed with their level of professionalism. The company was also able to store some of my heavier items and transport them at a later date since I was eager to move and needed to do it quickly. Overall, I was impressed with this company. The movers who assisted me in California and Atlanta were efficient and helped me move and place my furniture in my new home. So the actual movers that showed up to load my move were incredible. They worked hard, they were accommodating, and they were worth every penny. The delivery driver also an incredible guy, communicated well and was responsive. The office receptionists are TERRIBLE. They will call you 10 times in a row and if you don't answer they will proceed to contact any other number they have even if it is your 88 year old grandmother with dementia that you have repeatedly asked them not to call. Then when they do get ahold of you they will give you information that contradicts what the delivery driver has told you and when you call and ask to speak with management you will be told that management isn't there and that they are in charge of themselves. When you ask to leave a message for management you get hung up on. Normal business protocol is to call and leave a message, not call 5 times in a row and then start calling other contacts. The girl whose name began with an M was so ridiculously condescending and nasty that I was actually shocked. When you are spending almost $17,000 for a move, you shouldn't be treated like garbage. Again, the actual movers were amazing! Just the rude and obviously not properly trained in customer service receptionist soured the experience significantly. read more

This company was apparently hired by Alliance Van Lines to complete my cross country move. I heard from dispatch on Saturday which was the first day of my two day window, saying they would be there Sunday morning between 8 and 11am. Sunday morning came and went. No calls, nothing! I tried calling the phone number I had from my caller ID for dispatch but the mailbox was full. When I called Alliance Van Lines Monday morning, since phones are not manned on Sundays, I was told Rhino Relocation couldn't fit me in. No apology, no explanation, nothing! Moving is stressful as it is but it's companies like this that make it so much worse! I have since had to scramble to get a truck, have friends load it, and have a friend do the drive. Moving is such a miserable, expensive and stressful thing to go through. Rhino made an otherwise horrible experience bearable. These guys worked their butts off for almost 3 days. All the guys were extremely thoughtful and conscientious. If I asked them for something, they dropped whatever they were doing to come and help. All items were professional wrapped and protected for the move. No half done here. In addition, the move was much larger than expected and they took the time to put everything into the truck as tightly as possible to keep my cost down. The only thing I would recommend is that you go directly to them for an "onsite" quote. I used a middle man to find them because movers are so busy. Their quote (White Glove Moving) was way off because they did not have a true understanding of the job at hand. Other than that - they made it easy. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. I wish I could give them less than 1 star. Very proactive to get deposit. Never answer the call after they get the deposit. They keep changing the moving date as per their convenience. I had to leave San Diego on March 19th, I called multiple times to schedule the move date to 18th evening but some take the message and won't update their database. On 18th morning I get a call telling they can move only on 19th morning I had to change my entire plan for this. Again on 18th evening they call and tell they can move only on 20th!!! This is insane. So glad I chose this moving company. Everyone was very professional and accommodating. They were very willing to work with me and my sister's schedules for the entire process. They sent over a truck with 3 movers that were very nice and helpful. We had a lot of large furniture but it was so challenge for them. I was so glad they wrapped up my furniture to ensure it didn't get damaged in the move. They also provided a list of all items to ensure everything will be delivered to our new place. Recently just moved houses and needed to get some furniture that was way to big for the car moved. Wasn't sure what place would be able to help for a decent price. I called this place to see their services and quotes. I gave them the distance and what needed to be transported. Luckily the price wasn't too bad and they were able to do the move the same day. They arrived on time and I showed them the pieces that needed to be moved. They quickly took the furniture and loaded it onto their truck. It didn't take to long and they handled everything with care. They were extremely nice and I couldn't believe they were able to do the transport so quickly. I can't thank them enough for helping me move my furniture for such an affordable price. I finally have all my furniture at my new place and it feels like home! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR A LONG DISTANCE MOVE. I moved from Los Angeles to Dallas, and it took over a month to get my things. My first available day that I would be able to accept my furniture was August 1, and I received my things on September 7th. They give you a 3-21 business day window to receive your items, but of course they say that it never takes that long. LIES!! After the 21st business day they gave me a $25/day credit. They work through a third party company to get a truck to deliver your items. When it got close to my 21st business day they would just lie and keep telling me that's items would be shipped on that day or the next. I'm not sure it most moving companies work this way, but I just know that I would never use this company again for long distance. read more

My experience exceeded my expectations. My husband was moving from Florida to Chicago on very short notice. I had to take care of everything for him .. I had a lot of people from different companies calling me but Amy definitively stood out the most . The day before the move David the driver called to let me know at what time they will arrive and everything was as planned I can tell they value your time.. they All were professional and courteous. They were very friendly and very careful with our belongings. On moving day they explained things, worked fast and carefully, and made sure that they were placing things where I wanted them to. STAY AWAY FROM!! I cannot emphasize that enough. We payed $10,000 for them to deliver our belongings from CA to CO broken. David,the sales rep intentionally under quoted us by $7,000. He told us that the estimate is based on the weight of our belongings. Our original quote was $3,227. When I asked what the cubic ft measurement meant, he told us it's just another form of measurement. FALSE. Turns out the weight is completely irrelevant. They charge you by the box. I made it very clear that I have a 10x25 AND a 10x10 ft. storage unit with the majority of our belongings in those units, as we had our house staged for open house and the furniture in it was not ours. When the movers came to pick up our stuff, they were uninformed about the storage units and had to make 2 separate trips. After loading up our belongings, they told us our total went from $3,200 to $9,800. Textbook SCAM. The movers also told us that if we used bigger boxes the total would've been cheaper. Again, it does not go by weight as we were told. They throw in the weight and a cheap estimate to confuse and mislead you. OH! But they store your stuff for free for 30 days where they handle your valuables AGAIN and BREAK even more of them. David also stated that what sets them apart from other companies is that they're family owned and DO NOT use 3rd parties. FALSE. The guys who delivered our stuff, majority of it broken, did not work for Rhino and are based out of New York. They are told to lie and said they are from Rhino Relocation in New York. Googled it. Doesn't exist. They looked and behaved as if they were hired off of Craigslist. These guys were not professional movers. David told us that we would have a 5 man team unloading our belongings at my new house. FALSE. We had 2 guys that were wheeling our belongings out on dollies with the clearly labeled FRAGILE boxes on BOTTOM. They were a day and a half late, and kept telling us they'd be there in 2 hours every 2 hours. They ended up arriving at sunset the following day. The movers stayed in the truck and refused to move a single box until we tipped them $200. Tipping is a courtesy which is received upon completion of the job based on how good of a job you felt they did. But having been threatened that they will leave with our belongings if we did not give the $200 tip, we gave in. We wrote one of the movers a personal check for $200. I don't even know how they came up with that number. Extremely unprofessional. It was night time and we exhausted from the move, and they knew they could get away with it. We were told that they would set out rugs and plastic to protect the floors of my new house. FALSE. They took no protective measures. They actually broke a chunk of my wall out by the staircase and did not even apologize. We were told they took inventory of our items to ensure that nothing would be missing. FALSE. They took no inventory upon unloading. They even gave me a sofa that was not mine. Luckily, unlike Rhino Relocation, I have integrity and notified them that it does not belong to me. We are missing an entire wardrobe of designer clothes, wall mounts for our tv's, and almost every single component to anything that plugs into a wall. We now have 5 tv's without remotes, cables, amongst other things, (pc cables, surround sound systems, expensive gold plated monster cables, etc.) I'm assuming they scrapped them for a few bucks as these items were re-boxed and not in the industrial moving boxes we had purchased and originally packed them in. My $400 subwoofer to my soundbar is missing also. My $3,000 60 inch flat screen 3D smart TV's screen is now shattered.My $5,000 Tempurpedic bed frame had the wires to the motor cut. The bed has massagers and goes up and down to adjust; which is very important to me due to my medical condition. The frame was shrink wrapped and they used a knife to cut it open, which is when the cables were cut. When I questioned the movers about the cables to the motor being severed, they began to yell and scream at me in my house threatening to stop unloading. Almost every single kitchen item is broken. Valuable statues now broken. A $5,000 gold plated statue, which was a gift and my only reminder of a past relative is now broken. We were told that we are covered up to $42,000 in damages. It was explained to me was that they take the average weight of all your items and that's how they determine what your coverage is. Sounds like a good deal. FALSE. Another example of them misleading you using the weight of your belongings as a deterrent from understanding how it actually works. WEIGHT IS COMPLETELY IRRELEVANT. What they actually do is take each broken item individually, and reimburse you for the item at $.60 a pound. For instance, my $3,000 60 inch TV weighs roughly 50 lbs. They will reimburse me $30 for my $3,000 TV at $.60/lb. WHAT A HOAX! A VERY CORRUPT COMPANY AT ITS FINEST. They even had to change their name to continue their deception. read more

It was a nightmare trying to get all of my stuff packed and ready for me to get moved into my new place. I started packing, but after spending hours, I decided to quit because it was way too much work for me. I decided to hire some movers. I went on yelp and found this company. They were able to send over movers the next day and the whole entire team was friendly and polite. They were able to pack up all my stuff way better than I could of done. Edit: Rhino did step up and evaluate the list I provided to them and have refunded the overage and provided an additional refund for the labor that did not show up on delivery. That being said, please ensure you have a person visit your house to do an in person assessment. Original post: I would avoid these movers, the sales team is great. We really related to them. Now to the move, they showed up very professional immediately surveyed everything to be moved. We did sign up for white glove service but the information we got when paying was to put everything in boxes, so we did wind up packing it all prior to them arriving. We did make a few changes as to what we were moving but did not think it wa s that much. The quote based on the phone inventory was for 541cf. The actual movers said it was 1100 cf. as you can imagine this was a huge change in price. What do you say at the point, we already gave notice and were driving to Texas the next day, we had to move forward. So I wrote the check. They got everything with no issues and we tipped very well. After they left I noticed they dumped the empty tape rolls in the gutter. We closed on our house a week later. I called dispatch and asked for our stuff to get on the road. 5 days later I called to follow up and nothing had happened. Finally a week after that call our stuff was on the road. The driver showed up on a Sunday with no labor to help so I had to jump in and help with both the move and reassembling what they took apart because he kept breaking parts of the bed. There is other misc damage. I emailed the company and the response was to file a claim via a this party. As items were coming in I measured them, the total cf was under 500cf. Not very happy! Horrible horrible horrible experience!! I never put a bad review about a place but this company has earn it! I used them to move back in January, and today I am still fighting a claim with them by the way I had a lost of over $1000 and they only want to pay $150 what a joke. If you have the chance don't use them, they promise things and they are nice the first time you talk to them but they broke 2 TVs they broke all my table lamps, my box springs for my beds, a bike, they lost 2 expensive frames, my cloth was all stain and more At first they told me I was going to be charged by weight and when they went to pick up my stuff they changed it to C.F and charged me an extra 1,000 not o my that but their customer services rep were horrible at retiring my calls and fixing my issues, drivers made me loose 2 days of work because they said they were delivering but never called back to tell me they were actually not!!! It was just horrible And now that I'm fighting the case they are acting like A holes!! If you can save yourself money and headaches by not using them!! (This are just some of the pictures) Ps. This was the worst moving experience anyone could have had! Like another reviewer before me said, I wish I could give them less than 1 star. At first, when the loading crew was taking everything, they tried to scam us. They said it would cost more because we had 19 boxes when the company itself originally said under 20 boxes would be at a set price. They claimed it would take up too much space but after going over the contract with them and then measuring it out ourselves after the boxes were in the truck, they took back what they said and agreed to the original price! Also, I had a coffee on a ledge where it would not have been in the way of them moving anything and yet they spilled it all over, did not apologize, and made ME clean it up. This was completely unprofessional and just plain rude. I also saw them drop a fragile box and they acted like nothing happened. What happened next was horrible, too! They told us the boxes would arrive in Oregon from California in less than 2 weeks. This was not the case at all. Every time we tried to call and get a better estimated delivery date they would blow us off and not call back for days! When they finally called back they kept telling us different dates. This costed my mother tons of money in air fares due to having to change her flight multiple times, each time they set the date back further. To add salt to the wound, one of the employees answering calls at the company was extremely rude and down right disrespectful to my mother every time she called. This is NOT ok. My last concern was that not all of my items got delivered and some items were broken! 2 lampshades never returned and 2 nice meaningful pictures in frames were shattered. We were told at one point that our packages got transferred onto a different truck in between stops. This might explain how the pictures broke, but it does excuse it. I am very upset about this. The unloading crew were the only people out of the entire company who did a pretty good job. All in all, this is a ridiculously horrible company and if you want a great, speedy, kind and considerate moving company, this is NOT the one you should choose. I was very pleased with my experience with Rhino Relocation. A good friend needed to move from LA back to Texas. Due to his work schedule and other complications, I was tasked with finding the service to move him. I am very apprehensive about moving companies. I have heard many horror stories, and even experienced a few of them myself. However, my experience with Rhino Relocation was a very good one. They were attentive to my concerns, and answered all of my questions. I felt really comfortable talking with them, and I knew they were the right choice to make the multi state move with. On moving day, they were prompt and professional. The movers were very courteous and went above and beyond to help make the move as easy as possible. Once the truck was loaded, they were on the way to the new location. They arrived at the destination on schedule and the completion of the move was better than I could have hoped for. read more
